Congratulations! You have just acquired the PLC490 Maxi Desktop Calculator from
Lexibookยฎ.
This calculator will allow you to perform standard calculations as well as advanced
functions such as percentage, memory, tax calculation and corrections to the last 100
calculations.
In order to get the most out of your PLC490 calculator, read this instruction manual
carefully and keep it in a safe place for future reference.
1. Keys
The โ โ key allows you to quickly enter hundreds. Example: Press โ โ, then the โ00 5 00โ
key and the calculator will display โ500โ.
The โ โ key allows you to change a positive number to negative, or vice versa. The+/-
โ -โ sign appears to the left of the screen when the number displayed is negative.
If you repeatedly press the calculation signs (+, -, x, รท), the calculation will be
repeated. For example, if you enter โ โ, the calculator will display โ20 + + 40โ, which is
the result of 20+20.
The decimal point selector allows you to select from 0, 2, 4 decimal places, or a
floating decimal place (position F), or an automatic conversion to 2 decimal places
(position A).
The round down/up selector allows you to choose round down to the nearest lower
unit (position โ โ), round up to the nearest higher unit (position โ โ), or a result โ โ
automatically rounded up/down (position โ5/4โ).
The calculation counter indicator showing the number of calculations carried out
appears at the top left of the screen. Calculations are recorded in the memory until
you press the โON/ACโ key, or you reach 100 calculations. Press โ โ in order toON/AC
delete all calculations stored in the memory.
To correct a number, press the โ โ key until you reach the number you want to enter.๎
To completely delete a number you have just entered, press once on โC/CEโ.
