This warranty covers manufacturer’s defects including electrical and mechanical defects provided the
appliance is correctly assembled, operated and maintained according to the supplied instructions. It does not
cover damage caused by accident, misuse or abuse including overheating, unauthorized repairs or
alterations, or use with a voltage converter or aftermarket accessories, and it does not apply to scratches,
stains, discoloration or other surface damage that does not impair the product function. This warranty is void
if the appliance is ever used for purposes other than private household use.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1. READ all instructions. KEEP these intructions for future use.
2. DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against re, electric shock nd injury to persons, DO NOT immerse cord, plug, or the
main Slow Cooker unit in water or other liquids.
4. When using this appliance, provide adequate air space above and all sides for air circulation. On
surfaces where heat may cause a problem, an insulated heat pad is recommended.
5. CAUTION! When removing the glass lid, always lift and tilt the lid away from you carefully to
avoid scalding and allow water to drip back into the unit.
6. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
7. UNPLUG from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or
taking o parts.
8. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunc-
tions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized
service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
9. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result
in re, electric shock or injury to persons.
10. DO NOT use outdoors.
11. Never place the removable ceramic pot directly on a heater surface as this may cause the
ceramic pot to crack.
12. To disconnect the appliance, turn appliance OFF (Push Stop Button) first and then remove the
plug from the electrical outlet. Always hold the plug and never pull the power cord.
13. NEVER let the cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
14. DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
15. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot
liquids.
16. The Glass Lid and removable Ceramic Pot are fragile. Handle them with care.
17. DO NOT use this appliance for anything other than its intended use.
18. DO NOT store any materials in this Slow Cooker when not in use.
19. To protect against electrical shock, this appliance is equipped with a cord having a 3-prong
grounding-type plug for insertion into a proper grounding-type receptacle. DO NOT alter the
plug for use in a 2-prong receptacle. If the plug will not fit into a receptacle, have the proper recep-
tacle installed by a qualified electrician.
20. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding cold or frozen ingredients into a heated
pot.

21. Never cook directly in metal housing. Always use the removable ceramic pot.
22. Never turn the appliance ON (Push Cook Mode Button) when the Ceramic Pot is empty, as this
could cause a malfunction.

24. A short power supply cord (or detachable power supply cord) is provided to reduce risks
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord This Unit is equipped with a
proper cord.
25. Any servicing other than described in this Use & Care Guide should be performed by a
qualified service dealer.

BEFORE FIRST USE
OPERATING YOUR SLOW COOKER
Before using your Kenmore 7-Quart Slow Cooker or the Food Warmer, remove any labels, stickers
or tags that may be attached to the appliance. Clean the appliance thoroughly.
1. Wash the glass lid and the ceramic pot in hot, soapy water.
2. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
3. DO NOT immerse metal housing in water.
4. Place the units on a dry, at, level surface such as a countertop or table.
When turned on for the rst time, your new Slow Cooker and the Food Warmer may emit an odor
for up to 10 minutes. This is due to the initial heating of the materials used in making them. The
odor is safe and should not recur after initial heating.
1. Prepare your recipe according to directions.
2. Place prepared food into the removable ceramic pot and cover with the glass lid.
3. Plug the power cord into a standard 120-V, 60Hz AC 3-prong electrical outlet.
4. The unit will beep and the display window will light with ashing green lines up to show that
unit is connected to a power source.
5. Press on the Cook Mode Button. The rst time you press the Cook Mode Button, the Slow
Cooker will be on Low heat. A light will illuminate above the word Low. Press again and the Slow
Cooker moves to Med heat. Keep pressing for High and Warm. After a setting is chosen, press the
Start/Stop Button, the unit will beep again and begins to heat up.
6. When a heat level is chosen, the Slow Cooker turns on to the default time of 6 hours. To change
the time for cooking, press the Cook Time Button. Each time the button is pressed, the timer
adjusts by 30 minutes. The timer goes up to 10 hours and then back to 30 minutes. To select the
time you want, keep pressing the Cook Time Button until the correct time shows in the Display
Window.
The Warm setting is for use in keeping foods warmed only, and is not intended for cooking.

OPERATING YOUR FOOD WARMER
Your Food Warmer is designed to heat and hold your favorite dip, fondue or sauce at the perfect
serving temperature. You can also use it for warming maple syrup for pancakes or waes. Melt
chocolate and keep at the perfect temperature for dipping fruit, cookies or pretzels, or for
molding candies.
NOTE - This Unit is not designed for use with uncooked meats. If a recipe calls for bacon, ground
beef or chicken, for example, the meat should be thoroughly cooked before adding it with other
ingredients and heating it in the unit.
1. Fill the Ceramic Liner Pot with desired dip or sauce and cover. The capacity of the Liner Pot is
about 1 to 1 ½ cups. Do not overll. Save room for stirring.
2. Plug cord into electrical outlet. A Green LED light illuminates to show the Warmer is plugged in.
Cover and heat about 30 to 60 minutes, or until dip, etc. is hot or completely melted. Stir dip
occasionally while melting or heating.
3. Remove cover before serving. The dip will stay at the perfect serving temperature for 3 to
4 hours.
If there is a power outage and you are unaware of how long the power was out, we suggest you
discard the food.
This Food Warmer is NOT ovenproof or microwave safe.
Always wear oven mitts when handling the Warmer.
