IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The denitions below describe the level of severity
for each signal word. Please read the manual and
pay attention to these symbols.
DANGER: Indicates an imminently hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, will result in death
or serious injury.
WARNING: Indicates a potentially hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, could result in
death or serious injury.
CAUTION: Indicates a potentially hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, may result in
minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE: Indicates a practice not related to
personal injury which, if not avoided, may result
in property damage.
WARNING: When using electric appliances,
always follow basic safety precautions to reduce
the risk of re, electric shock and personal injury,
including the following:
WARNING: To reduce the chance of re
hazard, empty dust tank after each use.
The dust separator contains a lter feature. It has
the capability to inlet sawdust and other debris. It
can be used to inlet dust and debris out of garages
or off patios and driveways. Follow the steps below
to use the dust separator with dust tank.
1. Insert the vacuum’s hose end into outlet of dust
separator, the hose should be snapped into place.
2. Locate inlet port on the dust separator.
3. Insert one end of the 48mm x 2.1m hose into
the inlet port.
4. Plug the power cord of the vacuum into an
appropriate outlet.
5. Press the switch on the vacuum to the "ON "
position.
CAUTION: The Appliance is not intended for use
by people (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
1. Place separator tank into the recess on the
lid , ensuring that the ribs are aligned with
the slots.
2. With the lid in an upside down position, insert
provided screws .
3. Use screwdriver (not included) to secure
and tighten the screws .
NOTICE: The ribs on both sides of the separator
must be aligned with the two small slots in the
recess of the cover.
1. Invert the dust tank and install the casters
to the bottom of the dust tank and x them
with screws .
2. Return dust tank assembly upright.
• To reduce the risk of injury from accidental starting,
always shut off vacuum and disconnect the power
plug from the wall outlet before connecting the
dust separator to the vacuum.
• Wood dust mixtures are highly ammable and can
be explosive.
• NEVER introduce sparks or sources of ignition
into collector.
• Do not use the accessory to pick up ammable or
combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in
areas where ammable or combustible liquids
are present.
• Do not allow the accessory to be used as a toy.
Pay close attention when the accessory is used
by or near children.
• Use this accessory ONLY as described in the
manual. Use only DEWALT recommended
attachments.
• To reduce the risk of heal hazards from vapors
or dust, do not use dust separator with toxic
materials. Do not use or store near hazardous
materials.
