IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put appliance in
water or other liquid.
3. Always unplug from outlet prior to handling or cleaning.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off
parts and before cleaning.
6. Avoid contact with moving parts.
7. Do not operate the WaringÂŽ Blender or any other electrical
equipment with a damaged cord or plug, or after the unit
malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return
it to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair,
or adjustment.
8. The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended
or sold by Waring may cause îre, electric shock, or injury.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces.
11. Keep hands and utensils out of jar while blending, to prevent the
possibility of severe personal injury and/or damage to the blender.
A rubber spatula may be used, but must be used only when the
blender is not running.
12. Blade is sharp. Handle carefully.CAUTION:
13. Always operate blender with lid in place.
14. When blending hot liquids, remove center piece of two-piece cover.

15. The use of ear protection is recommended during extended
operating periods.
16. Do not leave blender unattended while it is running.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
â˘î Forîyourîprotection,îWaringÂŽ blenders are equipped with a 3-conductor
cordset having a molded 3-prong grounding-type plug, and should be
used in combination with a properly connected grounding-type outlet as
shownîinîFigureîA.îIfîaîgrounding-typeîoutletîisînotîavailable,îanîadapter,î
asîshownîinîFigureîB,îmayîbeîusedîtoîenableîaî2-slotîwallîoutletîtoîbeî
used with a 3-prong plug.*
îî AsîshownîinîFigureîC,îtheîadapterîmustîbeîgroundedîbyîattachingîitsî
grounding lug under the screw of the outlet cover plate.
îî CAUTION:îBeforeîusingîanîadapter,îitîmustîbeîdeterminedîthatîtheî
outletîcoverîplateîscrewîisîproperlyîgrounded.îIfîinîdoubt,îconsultîaî
licensed electrician.
