Wall-mounted 4G-LTE smart thermostat suitable for controlling heating and air conditioning
systems with weekly programming and mains power supply. The device can be managed
using the App, which is available for free for iOS and Android systems. Programming,
switching on the system, changing the operating settings and creating new program are all
operations that can be carried out easily and from anywhere thanks to the integrated 4G-LTE
module that connects the smart thermostat to the Internet. The SIM card supplied and installed
in the device, which includes 2 years of data traffic, can be extended using the application or
replaced. TUO 4G is an electronic device that perform actions of 1B type and are intended to
operate in environments with III overvoltage category and pollution degree 2 in accordance with
EN 60730-1 standard.

SAFETY WARNINGS
During the installation and the operation of the instrument it’s necessary to observe the
following instructions:
1) The instrument must be installed by a qualified person by observing scrupulously the
connection diagrams.
2) The instrument must be installed and activated in compliance with current electric systems
standards.
3) After installation, inaccessibility to the connection terminals without appropriate tools
must be granted.
4) Do not use the instrument for other purposes different from the one specified.
5) In the power supply network a bipolar disconnection must be present.
6) A protection device against over-currents should be installed in the electrical system,
upstream of the device.
7) Before accessing the connection terminals, verify that the leads are not live.
8) Do not power on or connect the instrument if any part of it is damaged.

Open the door of the terminal compartment
Connect the load and the power supply (see connection diagram) and fix the device to the wall
Close the door of the terminal compartment
Insert the back-up battery into the special housing, ensuring the correct polarity, and place the
front part on the wall-mounted part, ensuring the correct connection of the two parts
Close the device by rotating the front panel downwards
7REMOTE CONTROL CONFIGURATION
To configure the device using a smartphone proceed as follows:

Note: for security reasons, it is advisable to choose a password different from the one used to
access your e-mail inbox
3. Check your e-mail address: confirm account activation by clicking on the link contained in the
e-mail sent by the system
4. Log in by entering the e-mails and passwords chosen during registration

instructions in the wizard
Important: The following figures display the App at the time of publication of these user
instructions. Newer versions of the App may deviate in terms of graphics and content.
6 WARNINGS AND PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS FOR THE CORRECT
POSITIONING AND CONNECTION OF THE DEVICE
WARNINGS
The use of the smart thermostat through the Clima APP
requires a stable 4G-LTE network to ensure a good Internet connection.
Make sure you have a Vemer account.
The SIM card supplied and installed in the device
can be replaced by another with the same characteristics.
Removing the SIM cared supplied and installed in the device causes its
immediate and automatic deactivation, rendering it unusable.
• Install and connect the device in accordance with the installation instructions in this manual.
• The device can be installed on the wall or to cover the 3-module flush-mounting box (type 503).
It is advisable to install the device at a height of 1.5 metres from the floor, in an area that reflects the
average temperature conditions of the room as closely as possible.
Avoid installation near doors or windows, in nooks, behind doors and curtains or where there is
excessive or no ventilation.
• Ensure that the 4G-LTE signal is such as to ensure stable communication.
In the event that the device cannot reach the Vemer Cloud due to connectivity problems,
the LOCAL OPERATION allows complete management, programming and configuration of the
smart thermostat through its keypad. In this way, the device does not check for new settings
on the Cloud and adjusts the temperature according to the settings entered from the keypad
(the programming and configuration in the Cloud are not changed).
8BACKUP BATTERY
The device is equipped with a back-up battery, which makes it possible to send a message in the event
of a power failure (e.g. in the event of a blackout) and to maintain the time until the battery is completely
discharged. The battery is recharged by the unit and takes approximately 48 hours to be fully charged
when plugged in. The backup battery is accessible by removing the front of the device from the wall
socket and can be replaced without disconnecting the power supply.
Use NiMh batteries (type AAA) with a capacity of 950 mAh or higher.
Use only rechargeable batteries

It is necessary to remove the batteries before the instrument is scrapped.
In case of replacement, dispose of the batteries in the appropriate
places separate waste collection containers.
9BATTERY DISPOSAL
To reset if the key lock is active and you do not know the unlock password, you must:
1. remove the front of the device from the partxed to the wall
2. remove the backup battery for at least 10 seconds (see BOX 8)
3. reposition the backup battery and when the display shows all the segments, press and hold
the key until " " appears.DEF

11 DEVICE RESET
Perform a reset to erase the entered settings and return the unit to the factory
settings.

Local operation is indicated by the icon on the App and device
display, and can be paused and/or disabled at any time from the
App (but not from the device).
If local operation is disabled (useful if you only want to control the
device from the App), the icon will appear on the display and
if you try to access the configuration menus from the device's
keypad, you will not be able to make any changes.

CLOCK MENU - DATE AND TIME SETTING
When connected to the Wi-Fi network, the device acquires the date and time settings from the
server and no settings are required.
However, if you need to manually set the date and time values, proceed as follows:
SET MENU - TEMPERATURES T1, T2, T3 SETTING
Access the SET menu to change the values of the 3 temperatures used in automatic operation. The
factory setting includes:
• T1 = 5 °C, T2 = 15 °C, T3 = 18 °C (heating/winter operation )
• T1 = off, T2 = 23 °C, T3 = 25 °C (conditioning /summer operation
How to change the temperature values T1/ T2/ T3
To exit the temperatures change:
• press the key once to return to the configuration menu
• press the key twice to exit the menu and return to the initial screen
Note: temperature values between L0 (minimum value) and kI (maximum value) are allowed.
These factory values are: L0 = 2°C, kI = 50°C but can be modified through the ADV menu.
Note: the condition T1 ≤ T2 T3 must be respected.
To exit the timing change:
• press the key once to return to the configuration menu
• press the key twice to exit the menu and return to the initial screen
When a timing is in progress, the symbol is lit.
Note: to cancel a timing in progress or to exit without activating the timer, set 00’.
Note: the timing ends in the case of changes to the operating mode.
To exit the date and time setting:
• press the key once to return to the configuration menu
• press the key twice to exit the menu and return to the initial screen
• to change the settings of the summer/winter time change, press and hold for a long time the
key (see “Configuration of the summer/winter time change”)
Configuration of the summer / winter time change
You can configure the device to independently manage the summer time update.
The factory setting includes:
• the passage winter time summer time (+1h) the last Sunday of March at 2:00 o’clock
• the passage summer time winter time (-1h) on the last Sunday of October at 3:00 o’clock
To change the configuration of the summer/winter time change:
• when changing any of the clock parameters (seconds, minutes, hour, year, month or day),
keep the key pressed for a long time until the display shows AUTO
PROG MENU - PROGRAM SETTING
Access the PROG menu to change the programming of the automatic operation.
The factory setting includes:
• the P1 program from Monday to Friday
• the P2 program on Saturday and Sunday
If this program is not suitable for your needs, you can:
• assign a different program for one or more days of the week
• modify one or more existing programs by personalizing the profile, that is, assigning different
temperature levels for one or more hours of the day.
How to choose a different program for the day Y
If the function is enabled (AUTO ON), for each time change it is necessary to set:
1 the day of the week(1= Monday...,7= Sunday)
2 the week of the month (1st= first, 2nd= second,...LSt= last)
3 the month
4 time
using the keys and to set the value and the key to confirm and move on to the next
parameter.
To exit the summer/winter time change configuration:
• press the key once to return to the configuration menu
• press the key twice to exit the menu
Note: the winter time change summer time is identified by the symbol .

For example, in Italy the summer time starts the last (LST) Sunday (7) of March (03)
at 2:00 o’ clock and the last (LST) Sunday (7) of October (10) at 3:00 o’ clock.

If the program meets the needs:
• press the key once to confirm and choose another day to which to assign
a different program
• press the key twice to return to the configuration menu
• press the key three times to exit the menu and return to the initial screen
If no program meets the needs:
• choose the one that is closest to your needs and press the key to customize
the profile (see “How to customize the profile of a Px program”)
How the switching delay works
Set a switching delay for a specific hour to maintain, for the duration of the delay, the
temperature value assigned to the previous hour.
For example, if the program includes:
T2 from 12 to 13 and T3 from 13 to 14 pm with 30 minutes delay
the smart thermostat adjusts the temperature based on the value of
T2 from 12 to 13.30 and T3 from 13.30 to 14.00
It is possible to set delays of 15, 30, 45 minutes, independent for every hour of the day.
12 CONFIGURATION AND PROGRAMMING
Parameters for the regulation type
(this menu varies depending on the chosen regulation type)
If the type of adjustment chosen is on/off, set the differential .diff
Allowed values: 0.1 °C ÷ 1 °C Factory value: 0.3°C
If the type of adjustment chosen is proportional, set the band and the bnd
period per.
Allowed values: 0.5 °C ÷ 5 °C (band), 10, 20 or 30 minutes (period).
Factory value: 0.5 °C (band), 10 minutes (period).
Adjustment of the measured temperature
Under certain installation conditions, the temperature measured by the unit may
differ from the average room temperature. In this case, enter a temperature
adjustment using the ADJ menu.
Allowed values: -5°C ÷ 5°C
Factory value: 0 °C.
Note: the temperature value displayed on the display during normal
operation includes any adjustment made.
Antifreeze temperature
(this menu is active only if operating mode = heating)
The anti-freeze temperature prevents the system from freezing up when the
operation is set to "Off" on the smart thermostat .
Allowed values: --- , 1 °C ÷ 50 °C
Factory value: 6 °C.
Note: the " " setting disables the antifreeze function; in this case, when ---
the device is switched off, no minimum temperature is guaranteed.
Password for key lock
In particular installation conditions, for example in public buildings, hotels, etc., it may be
necessary to lock the keypad in order to prevent unauthorized persons from changing the
settings.
Hour meter of system operation
Displays the hours of operation of the system(relay contacts on C-NA).
The unit has two independent (5-digit) meters for heating and air
conditioning, but only the meter for the selected mode is displayed. To reset
the meter, press and hold the key for a long time during the display. The
maximum count is 65535h (about 7 years); when this number is reached, the
meter resumes counting from 0h.
4G-LTE and De-Link connection configuration
This menu displays the following information:
- the presence of the 4G-LTE signal (1)
- the level of the 4G-LTE signal (2) on the total available (3)
From this menu it is also possible to:
turn on/off the 4G-LTE module (useful, for example, if a properly functioning
SIM card is not available). Switching off the module means that the device can
only be managed from the keypad in Local Operation (see BOX 10). To turn the
module on/off, press the key for at least 3 seconds until (power off) or 0ff 0n
flashing (power on) appears.
remove the device from the control of one user (DE-LINK) in order to reconfigure
it with another (typical situation, for example, when the device is installed in a
rented property and the tenants change).
To carry out the De-Link, press and hold the keys and until the display
shows " ", after restarting the device the display shows "RES dEL".
The De-Link procedure is finished; at this point the icon on the smart
thermostat display starts flashing.

Keypad unlock
When the key lock is active, the device adjusts the temperature using the set programming. In this
condition, after pressing a key, the display shows the word " "BL0C
To unlock the keypad:
1. When the word " is displayed, press and hold any of the four keys until the display BL0C
shows " ".---
2. Enter the correct password with the keys and and confirm with the key .
The keypad remains unlocked for approximately 45 seconds after the last key is pressed,
after which the keypad reactivates the lock.

Display backlighting

You can choose the display backlighting daily start time 0n

Indicates the presence and operating status of the backup battery.

TIMER MENU - TIMING SETTING
Set a timing to prolong the current operation for the duration of the timing itself. There are 3
timings available:
• Timed manual: set a timing during manual operation to maintain this operation until timing
has elapsed. At the end of the timing, the device activates the automatic operation.
• Timed automatic: set a timing during the automatic operation to maintain this operation
until the timing has elapsed. At the end of the timing, the device activates the off operation
• Off timed: set a timing during off operation to maintain this operation until timing has elapsed.
At the end of the timing, the device activates automatic or manual operation, depending on
which operation was active before switching off.
How to set a timing
To enable keypad locking, set a password between 001 and 999.
To deactivate the lock, press and hold the key until "--" is set.
When the keypad lock is active, the symbol appears on the display
and after pressing a key the word BL0C appears.
