Warning
•Do not use a damaged device, such as a device with a cracked display or badly dented back cover, as it may cause
injury or harm.
•Do not expose your device to re or heat.
•When your device is not water resistant, avoid liquids entering the USB port, headset jack or any other slot of the
device. Do not charge your device if water enters such ports. Please contact local authorized Sony service facility to
investigate your device if water ingress occurs.
•Even if your device is water resistant, avoid that neither water containing impurities nor any other liquids (i.e. soft
drinks, sea water, sweat, etc.) enter the USB port or any other slot of the device. Do not charge your device when
such ports or slots are wet. You can charge your device after you dry and clean such ports or slots.
•Do not charge your device in wet areas or near a sink or a bathtub. Do not connect or disconnect the charger with
wet hands.
•Regardless of the IP rating, avoid metallic objects or external agents like dust entering the USB port, headset jack or
any other slot of the device. Clean out the ports before charging your device if metallic objects or external agents
enter such ports.
•Do not apply strong force, heavy shock to your device. Dropping, bending, stepping on or throwing your device can
cause battery damage. If you suspect there is damage to the battery, stop using the device and send it to a Sony
service partner.
•Do not pierce your device with sharp objects.
•Avoid placing your device in tight trouser pockets, as it may cause bending of the display and/or rear covertting
when you sit or move.
•Overheating can be caused if you are in contact with the device or the charger when operating or charging for long
periods of time.
•Do not sleep with the device on your person or in your bed. Do not place the device under a blanket, pillow, or
under your body, specially when connected to the charger, as this may cause the device to overheat.
•Charge your device where the device and the charger are in a well-ventilated area.
•Please note that the temperature may rise during continuous use or during charging. Also, be careful not to touch
the device continuously and unintentionally by putting it in your clothes pocket or falling asleep. Continued direct
contact with the device in this condition may cause low-temperature burns or other skin irritations.
•This product (including accessories) has magnet(s). Swallowing magnet(s) could cause serious harm, such as
choking hazard or intestinal injuries. If magnets (or a magnet) were swallowed, consult a doctor immediately. Keep
this product away from children or other supervised individuals to prevent accidental ingestion.
•Discontinue using your device, or disable the radio transmitting functionality of your device, where required or
requested to do so.
For customers in the United States
•Batteries in this product must be replaced by local authorized Sony service facility. Please take care in disassembling
or repairing the device. Please read any required service manuals before proceeding and follow all steps in the
order in which they are described. If you do not have all tools and parts available to you, or are not comfortable
performing the repairs described herein, do not proceed. Failure to follow these instructions, or use the proper tools
and parts, may damage the battery, lead to personal injury or cause property damage.
For customers in other countries and regions
•Only local authorized Sony service facility should perform service procedures on your device. Do not attempt to
disassemble or repair your device by yourself. It may cause device damage or bodily injury.
•Do not remove the back cover of your device as it may puncture the battery, causing bodily injury or device damage.
Note
•Treat the device with care and do not expose it to extreme high or low temperatures. Do not operate your device in
temperatures below 0 °C (32 °F) or above 40 °C (104 °F).

•Careless or negligent handling of your device will void the terms of warranty.
•A rechargeable battery eventually wears out by repeat charging and discharging. This is not a defect and
corresponds to normal wear and tear. When usage time becomes noticeably shorter, it is time to replace the battery.
•Minor variations in display brightness and color may occur between devices. There may be tiny bright or dark dots
on the display. These are called defective pixels and occur when individual dots have malfunctioned and can not be
adjusted. Two defective pixels are deemed acceptable.
•Minor variations in camera image appearance may occur between devices. Such variations are not uncommon and
do not mean that a camera module is defective.
•Since the cellular system on which the device is to operate is provided by a carrier independent from Sony, Sony will
not be responsible for the operation, availability, coverage, services or range of that system.
•Some of your personal settings, downloads and other information may be lost when your device is repaired or
replaced. At present, Sony may be prevented by applicable law, other regulation or technical restrictions from
making a backup copy of certain downloads. Sony does not take any responsibility for any lost information of any
kind and will not reimburse you for any such loss. You should always make backup copies of all the information
stored on your device, such as downloads, calendar and contacts, before handing in your device for repair or
replacement.
