0 ms: TCP connection will not be closed due to an idle serial line.
1- - 65535 ms: The NPort 5000AI M12 automatically closes the TCP connection if there is no serial data activity
for the given time. After the connection is closed, the NPort 5000AI M12- start listenings for another host’s TCP
connection.
This parameter defines the maintenance status as Closed or Listen for the TCP connection. The connection is
closed if there is no incoming or outgoing data through the serial port during the specific Inactivity time.
If the Inactivity time is set to 0, the current TCP connection is kept active until a connection close request is
received. Although Inactivity time is disabled, the NPort 5000AI- M12 will check the connection status between
the NPort 5000AI M12- and remote host by sending “keep alive” packets periodically. If the remote host does
not respond to the packet, assumes that the connection was closed down the NPort 5000AI M12-
unintentionally. The NPort will then force the existing TCP connection to clos5000AI- M12 e.
