Flush-Mount Ceiling Speaker

These instructions are intended for installers

with speciﬁc knowledge in 100 V technology

for PA applications. Please read the instructions

carefully prior to installation and keep them for

later reference.

1 Applications

These ﬂush-mount ceiling speakers are designed

for PA applications of low power. They are suitable

for speech and background music. EDL-82 / WS is

specially designed for PA systems using 100 V tech-

nology; SPE-82 / WS is specially designed for audio

systems using 4 Ω speakers.

2 Important Notes

The speaker corresponds to all relevant directives of

the EU and is therefore marked with .

•

The speaker is suitable for indoor use only. Protect

it against dripping water and splash water, high

air humidity and heat (admissible ambient tem-

perature range 0 – 40 °C).

•

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use

chemicals or water.

•

No guarantee claims for the speaker and no liabil-

ity for any resulting personal damage or material

dam age will be accepted if the speaker is used

for other purposes than originally intended, if it

is not correctly installed or connected, or if it is

over loaded.

If the speaker is to be put out of opera-

tion deﬁnitively, take it to a local recycling

plant or a disposal which is not harmful to

the environment.

For EDL-82 / WS, make sure to observe the warning

below:

WARNING During operation, there is a haz-

ard of contact with a dangerous

voltage of up to 100 V at the con-

nection cable. Installation must be

made by skilled personnel only.

Observe the correct power matching. The total

power of all speakers connected must not

exceed the ampliﬁer power. Incorrect power

matching will destroy the PA ampliﬁer!

3 Installation

1) Saw a cutout with a diameter of 96 mm. The

following mounting depth must be available:

EDL-82 = 98 mm; SPE-82 = 57 mm.

2) Make the connections to the audio system. For

EDL-82/WS, connect the speaker via the trans-

former input: Connect the black core and one

of the other coloured cores corresponding to the

desired power rating by the speaker to the output

of the PA ampliﬁer.

3) When connecting several speakers, make sure

that all speakers have the same polarity (e. g.

black core = negative connection).

4) Bend the mounting springs upwards up to the

stop and keep them in this position.

Attention! Risk of injury! Springs are

under tension, hold tight!

5) Insert the springs into the mounting cutout and

carefully slide the speaker into the cutout until it

is ﬂush with the ceiling.

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure mit

Fachkenntnissen in der 100-V-Beschallungs-

technik. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung vor der

Installation gründlich durch und heben Sie sie

für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten

Diese Decken-Einbaulautsprecher sind für die Be-

schallung mit kleinen Leistungen konzipiert. Sie

sind für Sprache und Hintergrundmusik geeignet.

Der EDL-82 / WS ist speziell für den Einsatz in ELA-

Anlagen konzipiert, die mit 100-V-Technik arbeiten

und der SPE-82 / WS speziell für Audio-Anlagen, die

mit 4-Ω-Lautsprechern betrieben werden.

2 Wichtige Hinweise

Der Lautsprecher entspricht allen relevanten Richt-

linien der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.

•

Der Lautsprecher ist nur zur Verwendung im In-

nenbereich geeignet. Schützen Sie ihn vor Tropf-

und Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze

(zu lässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

•

Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trocke-

nes, weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien

oder Wasser.

•

Wird der Lautsprecher zweckentfremdet, nicht

fachgerecht montiert, falsch angeschlossen oder

überlastet, kann keine Haftung für daraus resultie-

rende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine Ga-

rantie für den Lautsprecher übernommen werden.

Soll der Lautsprecher endgültig aus dem

Betrieb genommen werden, übergeben

Sie ihn zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung

einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.

Für den EDL-82 / WS unbedingt zusätzlich die folgen-

den Warnhinweise beachten:

WARNUNG Im Betrieb liegt berührungsgefährli-

che Spannung bis 100 V an der An-

schlussleitung an. Die Installation darf

nur durch Fachpersonal erfolgen.

Achten Sie auf eine richtige Anpassung der Leis-

tung. Die Summe der Leistungen aller angeschlos-

senen Lautsprecher darf die Verstärkerleistung

nicht überschreiten. Eine falsche Anpassung führt

zur Zerstörung des ELA-Verstärkers!

3 Installation

1) Einen Montageausschnitt mit einem Durchmesser

von 96 mm aussägen. Folgende Einbautiefe muss

verfügbar sein: EDL-82 = 98 mm; SPE-82 = 57 mm.

2) Die Anschlüsse zur Audio-Anlage herstellen. Den

Lautsprecher EDL-82 / WS über den Transforma-

toreingang anschließen: Die schwarze Ader und

eine der anderen farbigen Adern, die der ge-

wünschten Nennbelastung durch den Lautspre-

cher entspricht, mit dem Ausgang des ELA-Ver-

stärkers verbinden.

3) Beim Anschluss von mehreren Lautsprechern

darauf achten, dass die Lautsprecher alle gleich

gepolt werden (z. B. schwarze Ader = Minuspol).

4) Die Montagefedern nach oben bis zum Anschlag

biegen und in dieser Position festhalten.

Achtung, Verletzungsgefahr – die ge-

spannten Federn gut festhalten!

5) Die Federn in den Montageausschnitt einsetzen,

und den Lautsprecher vorsichtig in den Aus-

schnitt gleiten lassen, bis er bündig anliegt.

Altoparlanti per il montaggio

in sofﬁtti

Queste istruzioni sono rivolte agli installatori

che possiedono delle conoscenze speciﬁche

della tecnica di sonorizzazione a 100 V. Vi pre-

ghiamo di leggerle attentamente prima dell‘in-

stallazione e di conservarle per un uso futuro.

1 Possibilità d’impiego

Questi altoparlanti per il montaggio in sofﬁtti sono

stati realizzati per la sonorizzazione a bassa potenza.

Sono adatti per la voce e per la musica di sotto-

fondo. La EDL-82 / WS è prevista specialmente per

l’impiego in impianti PA con uscita audio 100 V,

mentre la SPE-82 / WS è adatta per impianti audio

che lavorano con altoparlanti di 4 Ω.

2 Avvertenze importanti

L’altoparlante è conforme a tutte le direttive rilevanti

dell’UE e pertanto porta la sigla .

•

L’altoparlante è previsto solo per l’uso all’interno

di locali. Proteggerlo dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli

spruzzi d’acqua, da alta umidità dell’aria e dal calo-

re (temperatura d’impiego ammessa fra 0 e 40 °C).

•

Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido, asciut-

to; non impiegare in nessun caso prodotti chimici

o acqua.

•

Nel caso d’uso improprio, di montaggio sbagliato,

di collegamenti sbagliati o di sovraccarico dell’alto-

parlante, non si assume nessuna responsabilità per

eventuali danni consequenziali a persone o a cose e

non si assume nessuna garanzia per l’altoparlante.

Se si desidera eliminare l’altoparlante deﬁ-

nitivamente, consegnarlo per lo smaltimen-

to ad un’istituzione locale per il riciclaggio.

Per la EDL-82 / WS si devono rispettare assolutamen-

te le seguenti :avvertenze

AVVERTIMENTO

Durante il funzionamento, al cavo

di collegamento è presente una

tensione pericolosa ﬁno a 100 V.

L’installazione deve essere fatta

solo da personale qualiﬁcato.

Fare attenzione al corretto adattamento della

potenza. La somma delle potenze di tutti gli al-

toparlanti collegati non deve superare la potenza

dell’ampliﬁcatore. L’adattamento errato provoca la

distruzione dell’ampliﬁcatore PA!

3 Installazione

1) Praticare un’apertura con un diametro di 96 mm.

La profondità utile deve essere: 98 mm per

EDL-82 e 57 mm per SPE-82.

2) Eseguire i collegamenti con l’impianto audio.

Nella EDL-82 / WS eseguire il collegamento at-

traverso l’ingresso del trasformatore: collegare

il conduttore nero e uno degli altri conduttori

colorati, a seconda della potenza desiderata per

l’altoparlante, con l’uscita dell’ampliﬁcatore PA.

3) Se si collegano più altoparlanti fare attenzione

che la polarità sia uguale per tutti (p. es. condut-

tore nero = negativo).

4) -Spingere le molle di sostegno in alto ﬁno all’arre

sto e tenerle ferme.

Attenzione a non farsi male – tener

ben ferme le molle tese!

5) Inserire le molle nell’apertura di montaggio e

spingere l’altoparlante delicatamente in alto ﬁn-

ché si trova a livello del sofﬁtto.

Cette notice s’adresse aux installateurs possé-

dant des connaissances en technique de sonori-

sation ligne 100 V. Veuillez lire la présente notice

avec attention avant l‘installation et conservez-la

pour pouvoir vous y reporter ultérieurement.

1 Possibilités d’utilisation

Ces haut-parleurs de plafond sont conçus pour des

sonorisations de petites puissances et bien adap-

tés pour la musique d’ambiance et les discours. Le

EDL-82 / WS est spécialement conçu pour une ins-

tallation dans des systèmes de sonorisation PA,

fonctionnant en ligne 100 V ; le SPE-82 / WS est spé-

cialement conçue pour les installations audio fonc-

tionnant avec des haut-parleurs 4 Ω.

2 Conseils importants

Le haut-parleur répond à toutes les directives nécessaires

de l’Union européenne et porte donc le symbole .

•

Le haut-parleur n’est conçu que pour une utilisa-

tion en intérieur. Protégez-le de tout type de pro-

jections d’eau, des éclaboussures, d’une humidité

d’air élevée et de la chaleur (plage de température

de fonctionnement autorisée : 0 – 40 °C).

•

Pour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un chiffon sec

et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques ou d’eau.

•

Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de

dommages matériels ou corporels résultants si le

haut-parleur est utilisé dans un but autre que celui

pour lequel il a été conçu, s’il n’est pas correcte-

ment installé ou branché, ou s’il y a surcharge ; en

outre, la garantie deviendrait caduque.

Lorsque le haut-parleur est déﬁnitivement

retiré du service, vous devez le déposer

dans une usine de recyclage adaptée pour

contribuer à son élimination non polluante.

AVERTISSEMENT

Pendant le fonctionnement, une

tension de contact dangereuse

jusqu’à 100 V est présente au câble

de branchement. Seul un personnel

qualiﬁé peut effectuer l’installation !

Veillez à respecter l’adaptation correcte de la puis-

sance. La somme des puissances de tous les haut-

parleurs reliés ne doit pas dépasser la puissance

de l’ampliﬁcateur. Une adaptation incorrecte peut

endommager l’ampliﬁcateur Public Adress.

3 Montage

1) Découpez dans le plafond un trou de diamètre

96 mm. La profondeur de montage suivante doit

être disponible : EDL-82 = 98 mm ; SPE-82 = 57 mm.

2) Effectuez les branchements à l’installation audio.

Pour le EDL-82 / WS, reliez le haut-parleur via l’en-

trée transformateur : connectez le conducteur

noir et un conducteur d’une autre couleur, cor-

respondant à la puissance nominale par le haut-

parleur, à la sortie de l’ampliﬁcateur PA.

3) Lorsque plusieurs haut-parleurs sont branchés, veil-

lez à ce que les haut-parleurs aient tous la même

polarité (p. ex. conducteur noir = pôle moins).

4) -Pliez les ressorts de montage vers le haut et main

tenez-les dans cette position.

Attention : danger de blessures, main-

tenez les ressorts pliés fermement !

5) Insérez les ressorts dans le trou de montage et faites

glisser, avec précaution, le haut-parleur jusqu’à ce

qu’il soit au même niveau que le plafond.
