ELA-Pendellautsprecher
Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure
mit Fachkenntnissen in der 100-V-Beschal-
lungstechnik. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung
vor der Installation gründlich durch und
heben Sie sie für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.
1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Dieser Lautsprecher mit Zertifizierung nach
EN 54-24 ist für den Einsatz in Sprachalarmie-
rungsanlagen zugelassen. Er ist mit einem Über-
trager für den Betrieb in 70-V- und 100-V-An-
lagen ausgestattet, kann aber auch direkt an
einen niederohmigen Verstärkerausgang an-
geschlossen werden. Die Anpassung der An-
schlussleistung erfolgt über einen Drehschalter.
Durch das verwendete 2-Wege-Koaxialsystem
wird eine sehr gute Klangqualität für Sprache
und Musik erreicht.
2 Wichtige Hinweise
Das Produkt entspricht allen relevanten Richt-
linien der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.
•
Das Produkt ist nur zur Verwendung im In-
nenbereich geeignet. Schützen Sie es vor
Tropf- und Spritzwasser sowie vor hoher Luft-
feuchtigkeit. Der zulässige Einsatztemperatur-
bereich beträgt 0 – 40 °C.
•
Säubern Sie das Produkt nur mit einem trocke-
nen, weichen Tuch, niemals mit Wasser oder
Chemikalien.
•
Wird das Produkt falsch verwendet, nicht
fachgerecht montiert oder nicht fachgerecht
repariert, kann keine Haftung für daraus re-
sultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden und
keine Garantie für das Produkt übernommen
werden.
Soll das Produkt endgültig aus dem Be-
trieb genommen werden, entsorgen Sie
es gemäß den örtlichen Vorschriften.
3 Installation
WARNUNG Im Betrieb liegt berührungsge-
fährliche Spannung bis 100 V
an der Anschlussleitung an. Die
Installation darf nur durch Fach-
personal erfolgen.
Achten Sie auf die Belastung des ELA-Ver-
stärkers durch die Lautsprecher. Eine Überlas-
tung kann den Verstärker beschädigen! Die
Summe der Leistungen aller angeschlossenen
Lautsprecher darf die Verstärkerleistung nicht
überschreiten.
Dem Lautsprecher liegen folgende Einzelteile bei:
1 × Gehäusedeckel
1 × 5-m-Stahlseil mit Karabinerhaken
1 × selbstblockierender Drahtseilhalter
1 × Schrauböse für die Aufhängung
1) Vor der Installation des Lautsprechers den
ELA-Verstärker ausschalten, damit die Laut-
sprecherleitung spannungsfrei ist!
2) Die gewünschte Nennbelastung (Lautstärke)
mit dem Drehschalter (1) einstellen oder beim
Betrieb an einem niederohmigen Verstärker-
ausgang den Schalter in die Position „8 Ω“ (d)
drehen. Für den Betrieb in einer 100-V-Anlage
die äußere Skala (a) beachten und in einer
70-V-Anlage die innere Skala (b).
Achtung!
1. In der Position „8 Ω“ (d) den Lautspre-
cher auf keinen Fall in einer 70-V- oder
100-V-Anlage betreiben. Der Lautspre-
cher und eventuell auch der Verstärker
werden beschädigt.
2. In einer 100-V-Anlage darf der Schalter
nicht auf die Position „–“ (c) gestellt wer-
den. Der Lautsprecher kann beschädigt
werden. Diese Position ist nur für eine
Nennbelastbarkeit von 30 W in einer 70-V-
Anlage vorgesehen.
3) -Die Lautsprecherleitung durch den beiliegen
den Gehäusedeckel führen (ovales Loch) und
an den grünen Klemmenblock (2) anschlie-
ßen. Zum Anschließen den Klemmenblock
aus seiner Steckverbindung herausziehen und
anschließend wieder zurückstecken. Beim An-
schluss von mehreren Lautsprechern darauf
achten, dass alle Lautsprecher gleich gepolt
werden.
4) Den Gehäusedeckel auf den Lautsprecher
aufsetzen und mit der beiliegenden Schraub-
öse für das Halteseil festschrauben.
5) Das Halteseil mit dem Karabinerhaken in die
Schrauböse einhaken.
6) -Den Lautsprecher mit dem Halteseil fachge
recht und sicher an geeigneter Stelle aufhän-
gen.

PA Pendant Speaker
These instructions are intended for installers
with specific knowledge of 100 V technol-
ogy for PA applications. Please read the in-
structions carefully prior to installation and
keep them for later reference.
1 Applications
This speaker with EN 54-24 certification is ap-
proved for use in voice alarm systems. It is
equipped with a transformer for operation
in 70 V and 100 V systems, but it can also be
directly connected to a low-impedance ampli-
fier output. The connected load is adjusted via
a rotary switch. The 2-way coaxial system used
ensures excellent sound quality for speech and
music.
2 Important Notes
The product corresponds to all relevant directives
of the EU and is therefore marked with .
•
The product is suitable for indoor use only.
Protect it against dripping water, splash water
and high air humidity. The admissible ambient
temperature range is 0 – 40 °C.
•
For cleaning the product, only use a dry, soft
cloth; never use water or chemicals.
•
No guarantee claims for the product and no
liability for any resulting personal damage or
material damage will be accepted if the prod-
uct is not correctly used, not correctly installed
or not expertly repaired.
If the product is to be put out of oper-
ation definitively, dispose of the prod-
uct in accordance with local regula-
tions.
3 Installation
WARNING During operation, there is a haz-
ard of contact with a dangerous
voltage of up to 100 V at the con-
nection cable. Installation must
always be carried out by skilled
personnel.
Observe the load of the speakers on the PA
amplifier. Overload may damage the amplifier!
The total power of all speakers connected must
not exceed the amplifier power.
The following parts are supplied with the
speaker:
1 × housing cover
1 × 5 m steel wire rope with snap hook
1 × self-locking wire rope clamp
1 × eyebolt for suspension
1) Before installing the speaker, switch off the
PA amplifier so that the speaker cable will not
carry any voltage!
2) Use the rotary switch (1) to set the desired
rated load (volume) or, for operation at a
low-impedance amplifier output, set the
switch to the position “8 Ω” (d). For opera-
tion in a 100 V system, use the outer scale (a);
for operation in a 70 V system, use the inner
scale (b).
Attention!
1. In the position “8 Ω” (d), never operate
the speaker in a 70 V or 100 V system. The
speaker and possibly also the amplifier
will be damaged.
2. In a 100 V system, the switch must not be
set to the position “–” (c). The speaker
may be damaged. This position is only
intended for a power rating of 30 W in
a 70 V system.
3) Guide the speaker cable through the housing
cover provided (oval hole) and connect it to
the green terminal block (2). For connection,
remove the terminal block from its plug-in
position and then plug it again. When con-
necting several speakers, make sure that all
speakers have the same polarity.
4) Place the housing cover on the speaker and
fasten it using the eyebolt provided for the
wire rope.
5) Hook the snap hook of the wire rope into the
eyebolt.
6) Suspend the speaker expertly and securely
from a suitable spot using the wire rope.
