2-way PA Pendant Speaker

These instructions are intended for installers

with speciﬁc knowledge in 100 V technology

for PA applications. Please read the instruc-

tions carefully prior to installation and keep

them for later reference.

1 Applications

This speaker is specially designed for PA systems.

It is equipped with a transformer for operation at

100 V systems, however, it may also be directly

connected to low-impedance ampliﬁer outputs.

The connected load is matched via a rotary switch.

2 Important Notes

The speaker corresponds to all relevant directives

of the EU and is therefore marked with .

•

The speaker is suitable for indoor use only. Pro-

tect it against dripping water, splash water and

high air humidity. The admissible ambient tem-

perature range is 0 – 40 °C.

•

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use

water or chemicals.

•

No guarantee claims for the speaker and no

liability for any resulting personal damage or

material damage will be accepted if the speaker

is used for other purposes than originally in-

tended, if it is not safely installed or not correctly

connected, or if it is overloaded.

If the speaker is to be put out of oper-

ation deﬁnitively, take it to a local recy-

cling plant for a disposal which is not

harmful to the environment.

3 Installation

WARNING During operation in 100 V systems,

there is a hazard of contact with

a voltage of up to 100 V at the

speaker cable. Installation must be

made by skilled personnel only.

Observe the load of the PA ampliﬁer by the

speakers. An overload may damage the ampli-

ﬁer! The total power of all speakers connected

must not exceed the ampliﬁer power.

1) First switch off the ampliﬁer to which the

speaker is to be connected!

2) Suspend the speaker from a suitable place on

the ceiling (see ﬁgure below).

3) Connect the speaker to the speaker output of

the ampliﬁer. When connecting several speak-

ers, make sure that all speakers have the same

polarity (e. g. black core = negative pole).

4) For the 100 V mode, turn the left switch to the

position “100 V” and then adjust the desired rated

power (volume) by means of the right switch.

For the 8 Ω mode, set both switches to the

position “8 Ω”.

CAUTION! Never use the speaker in a 100 V

system when the position “8 Ω” has been se-

lected. The speaker and possibly also the ampli-

ﬁer will be damaged.

2-Wege-ELA-Pendellautsprecher

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure

mit Fachkenntnissen in der 100-V-Beschal-

lungstechnik. Bitte lesen Sie die Anleitung vor

der Installation gründlich durch und heben Sie

sie für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten

Dieser Lautsprecher ist speziell für den Einsatz in

ELA-Anlagen konzipiert. Er ist mit einem Über-

trager für den Betrieb an 100-V-Anlagen ausge-

stattet, kann aber auch direkt an niederohmige

Verstärkerausgänge angeschlossen werden. Die

Anpassung der Anschlussleistung erfolgt über

einen Drehschalter.

2 Wichtige Hinweise

Der Lautsprecher entspricht allen relevanten Richt-

linien der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.

•

Verwenden Sie den Lautsprecher nur im In-

nenbereich. Schützen Sie ihn vor Tropf- und

Spritzwasser sowie vor hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit.

Der zulässige Einsatztemperaturbereich beträgt

0 – 40 °C.

•

Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes,

weiches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.

•

Wird der Lautsprecher zweckentfremdet, nicht

sicher montiert, falsch angeschlossen oder über-

lastet, kann keine Haftung für daraus resultie-

rende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine

Garantie für den Lautsprecher übernommen

werden.

Soll der Lautsprecher endgültig aus dem

Betrieb genommen werden, übergeben

Sie ihn zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung

einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.

3 Installation

WARNUNG Beim Betrieb in 100-V-Anlagen liegt

berührungsgefährliche Spannung

bis 100 V an der Lautsprecherleitung

an. Die Installation darf nur durch

Fachpersonal erfolgen.

Achten Sie auf die Belastung des ELA-Verstärkers

durch die Lautsprecher. Eine Überlastung kann

den Verstärker beschädigen! Die Summe der

Leistungen aller angeschlossenen Lautsprecher

darf die Verstärkerleistung nicht überschreiten.

1) Zuerst den Verstärker, an den der Lautsprecher

angeschlossen werden soll, ausschalten!

2) Den Lautsprecher an geeigneter Stelle der

Decke aufhängen (siehe Abb. unten).

3) Den Lautsprecher an den Lautsprecherausgang

des Verstärkers anschließen. Beim Anschluss

von mehreren Lautsprechern darauf achten,

dass die Lautsprecher alle gleich gepolt werden

(z. B. schwarze Ader = Minuspol).

4) Für den 100-V-Betrieb den linken Schalter

in die Position „100 V“ drehen und mit dem

rechten Schalter die gewünschte Nennbelas-

tung (Lautstärke) einstellen.

Für den 8-Ω-Betrieb beide Schalter in die Posi-

tion „8 Ω“ stellen.

VORSICHT! In der Position „8 Ω“ den Laut-

sprecher auf keinen Fall in einer 100-V-Anlage

betreiben. Der Lautsprecher und eventuell auch

der Verstärker werden beschädigt.

Altoparlante PA appeso a 2 vie

Queste istruzioni sono rivolte agli installatori

che possiedono delle conoscenze speciﬁche

della tecnica di sonorizzazione a 100 V. Vi pre-

ghiamo di leggerle attentamente prima dell‘in-

stallazione e di conservarle per un uso futuro.

1 Possibilità d’impiego

Questo altoparlante è stato realizzato in modo par-

ticolare per l’impiego in impianti PA. È equipag-

giato con un trasformatore per impianti con uscita

audio a 100 V, ma può anche essere collegato

direttamente con le uscite a bassa impedenza di

un ampliﬁcatore. L’adattamento al tipo di collega-

mento avviene con un selettore.

2 Avvertenze importanti

L’altoparlante è conforme a tutte le direttive rile-

vanti dell’UE e pertanto porta la sigla .

•

Usare l’altoparlante solo all’interno di locali. Pro-

teggerlo dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli spruzzi

d’acqua nonché da alta umidità dell’aria. La tem-

peratura d’esercizio ammessa è 0 – 40 °C.

•

Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido,

asciutto; non impiegare mai acqua o prodotti

chimici.

•

Nel caso d’uso improprio, di montaggio non si-

curo, di collegamenti sbagliati o di sovraccarico

dell’altoparlante, non si assume nessuna respon-

sabilità per eventuali danni consequenziali a per-

sone o a cose e non si assume nessuna garanzia

per l’altoparlante.

Se si desidera eliminare l’altoparlante de-

ﬁnitivamente, consegnarlo per lo smal-

timento ad un’istituzione locale per il

riciclaggio.

3 Installazione

AVVERTI-

MENTO

Durante il funzionamento in impianti a

100 V, nel cavo per altoparlanti è pre-

sente una tensione ﬁno a 100 V, perico-

losa in caso di contatto. L’installazione

deve essere eseguita solo da personale

specializzato.

Tener presente anche il carico dell’ampliﬁcatore

PA da parte degli altoparlanti. Un sovraccarico

può danneggiare l’ampliﬁcatore! La somma delle

potenze di tutti gli altoparlanti collegati non deve

superare la potenza dell’ampliﬁcatore.

1) Per prima cosa spegnere l’ampliﬁcatore al quale

sarà collegato l’altoparlante!

2) Appendere il diffusore in un punto adatto del

sofﬁtto (vedi ﬁg. in basso).

3) Collegare l’altoparlante con l’uscita altoparlanti

dell’ampliﬁcatore. Nel caso di collegamento di

più altoparlanti fare attenzione all’identica po-

larità di tutti gli altoparlanti (p. es. conduttore

nero = negativo).

4) Per il funzionamento 100 V, girare l’interruttore

sinistra nella posizione “100 V”, allora impostare

la potenza nominale (volume) desiderata con l’in-

terruttore destra. Per il funzionamento 8 Ω, im-

postare i due interruttori nella posizione “8 Ω”.

ATTENZIONE! In posizione “8 Ω”, non usare in

nessun caso l’altoparlante in un impianto con

uscita audio 100 V. L’altoparlante e eventual-

mente anche l’ampliﬁcatore subiranno dei danni.

des connaissances en technique de sonorisation

ligne 100 V. Veuillez lire la présente notice avec

attention avant l‘installation et conservez-la pour

pouvoir vous y reporter ultérieurement.

1 Possibilités d’utilisation

Le haut-parleur est spécialement conçu pour une

utilisation dans des installations de Public Adress.

Il est équipé d’un transformateur pour un fonc-

tionnement dans des systèmes 100 V, mais il peut

également être relié directement à des sorties

basse impédance d’ampliﬁcateurs. L’adaptation

de la puissance de branchement s’effectue via un

sélecteur rotatif.

2 Conseils importants

Le haut-parleur répond à toutes les directives né-

cessaires de l‘Union européenne et porte donc le

symbole .

•

Le haut-parleur n‘est conçu que pour une uti-

lisation en intérieur. Protégez-le des éclabous-

sures, de tout type de projections d‘eau et d’une

humidité d‘air élevée. La plage de température

ambiante admissible est de 0 – 40 °C.

•

Pour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un

chiffon sec et doux, en aucun cas de produits

chimiques ou d‘eau.

•

Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de

dommages matériels ou corporels résultants si

le haut-parleur est utilisé dans un but autre que

celui pour lequel il a été conçu, s‘il n‘est pas ins-

tallé de manière sûre ou n‘est pas correctement

branché ou s’il y a surcharge ; en outre, la ga-

rantie deviendrait caduque.

Lorsque le haut-parleur est déﬁnitivement

retiré du service, vous devez le déposer

dans une usine de recyclage adaptée pour

contribuer à son élimination non polluante.

3 Installation

AVERTISSE-

MENT

Pendant le fonctionnement dans des

installations 100 V, une tension dan-

gereuse jusqu’à 100 V est présente

au câble haut-parleur. Seul un per-

sonnel qualiﬁé peut effectuer l’ins-

tallation.

Faites attention à la charge de l’ampliﬁcateur PA

par les haut-parleurs. Une surcharge peut endom-

mager l’ampliﬁcateur. La somme des puissances

de l’ensemble des haut-parleurs reliés ne doit pas

dépasser la puissance de l’ampliﬁcateur.

1) D’abord déconnectez l’ampliﬁcateur auquel le

haut-parleur doit être relié!

2) Suspendez le haut-parleur à l’endroit adéquat

au plafond (voir schéma ci-dessous).

3) Reliez le haut-parleur à la sortie haut-parleur de

l’ampliﬁcateur. Si plusieurs haut-parleurs sont

branchés, veillez à ce que tous les haut-parleurs

aient la même polarité (p. ex. conducteur noir

= pôle moins).

4) Pour le fonctionnement 100 V, tournez l’in-

terrupteur gauche sur «100 V» puis réglez la

puissance nominale (volume) souhaitée avec

l’interrupteur droit. Pour le fonctionnement 8 Ω,

réglez les deux interrupteurs sur «8 Ω».

ATTENTION ! En position «8 Ω», ne faites pas

fonctionner le haut-parleur dans une installa-

tion 100 V. Le haut-parleur et éventuellement

l’ampliﬁcateur pourraient être endommagés.
