TWISTED PAIR CABLE STRIPPING
1. Determine strip length.
2. Depress the plunger

by squeezing downward, insert twisted pair
cable into the stripping nest

until approximately 1/2" (13 mm) extends
beyond tool wall. This will provide 0.6" (15 mm) conductor length when
untwisted. Release the plunger. The cable is now ready to be stripped (FIG. 1).
3. Hold cable close to stripper body with one hand. Insert finger of other
hand into finger loop

and rotate the tool around the cable one or two
times to score cable jacket (FIG. 2).
4. Depress the plunger and remove the cable from the stripping nest. Crack
the jacket by bending along the score line and remove scrap.

5. Lay cable length-wise into Jacket Slitting Slot

at desired length.
6. Pull cable through slot while applying slight downward pressure to
promote blade penetration . Twist the slit portion of the cable to (FIG. 3)
assist in scrap removal.
CAUTION: Exposed blade.
7. Place the slit cable ACROSS the blade in the Jacket Slitting Slot, with
the beginning of the slit even with the blade. While applying slight
downward pressure to promote blade penetration, rotate cable (FIG. 4).
CAUTION: Exposed blade.
8. Crack jacket by bending at score and remove scrap.
