*The camera’s standard power supply is 12V DC or PoE (802.3af/at). The power source should comply with
Power Source Class 2 ( PS2) or Limited Power Source(LPS) of IEC 62368-1.
*Some models do not have the power supply interface. You can check the detailed specications on the
product page at https://www.tp-link.com/.

Interface Description
2 USB ports for additional devices such as USB
mouse, USB storage device, and USB keyboard.
Output port for analog video signals.
Connect your monitor to this port if it uses VGA
connection.

bandwidth of 100/10 Mbps. The port can also
provide power for PoE PDs (recommended for
PoE cameras).

threshold for more than 2 minutes.
O: The total PoE power does not reach the warning
threshold.

On: The HDD is normal.
O: No HDD or the HDD is malfunctioning.

On: Network is working properly.
Flashing: Data is being transmitted or received.
O: Network is malfunctioning.

On: System is running normally.
O: System is running abnormally.

3. Secure the Camera
Insert anchors into the holes and use screws to aîž±x the camera base. Identify
the groove and alignment ridge on the camera. Begin by aligning the base's rim
with the camera's groove, attaching the ridge side rst for a correct t. Once
aligned, proceed to snap the rest of the camera onto the base to secure it.
Stick the mounting template to the desired mounting place. Drill 4 screw holes
and 1 cable hole (for the cable through wall/ceiling) according to the template.

Use the L-shaped hex metal screwdriver to loosen the hex screw,
and use a screwdriver to gently pry open the camera case.
4. Adjust the Surveillance Angle
Use the L-shaped hex metal screwdriver to loosen the hex screw
on the base, and adjust the surveillance angle as needed.

Unfasten the two xed screws to remove the cover.
Insert a microSD card for local storage. Initialize the SD
card via VIGI app or other management tools before
recording videos.

5. Tighten the Hex Screw
Tighten the hex screw to secure the camera to the camera base. Hold the
camera and ensure the camera and base are as close together as possible
when tightening.
Network Video Recorder Rubber Feet
One hard disk drives (HDD) is already installed in the NVR. You can also
follow the steps below to reinstall the HDD.
1. Remove the xing screws on the side and back panels to open the
cover of the NVR.
2. Attach the 4 included HDD screws to your hard drive. Do not fasten.

Install Waterproof Cable Attachments
Install the waterproof cable attachments for the network interface if needed.
Note: Make sure each part is securely attached and the waterproof rings are îž°ush to keep out water.
1. Route the network cable through the following components in order: x
nut, waterproof ring, and then the waterproof jacket.
2. Fix the O-ring to the network interface of the camera and connect the
network cables.
3. Attach the network interface with the waterproof jacket, then twist to lock.
4. Insert the waterproof ring into the waterproof jacket. Rotate the x nut to
secure it to the waterproof jacket.

Install the waterproof seal for the power connectors when using a power
adapter to power the camera.

Follow the steps below to complete the hardware connection.
1. Connect your monitor to the HDMI or VGA port according to the connection
port it supports.
2. Connect your monitor to a power source and turn it on.
3. Connect the LAN port of the NVR to a network device with an Ethernet cable.
4. Connect the provided USB Mouse to the USB Interface of the NVR.
5. Connect the power adapter to the NVR.
Cautions
If you want to turn o the NVR after installing the hard drive, right click on the Live View
screen and click the Power button on of your monitor. Do not unplug it directly.Main Menu
The input voltage should match the power requirements of the NVR.
The buzzer on the NVR may be triggered when no hard drive is installed or the hard drive in
the NVR hasn’t been initialized. You can turn it o in Event-Exception Detection-Disk
Exception.
1. Connect all cameras to the PoE ports of the NVR.
2. Select the , click , and you will see that all cameras have been added Language Next
automatically, with some settings preset, including the NVR/IPC password (which can
also be found on the NVR's product label).
3. Click , and you will see the Live View screen.Done
Note: Go To Manually InitializeIf you want to add cameras manullay and change the settings, click to
manually add cameras in your network and complete the setup.
(Optional) 4. Click to bind your NVR to a TP-Link ID for remote access Bind TP-Link ID
and management.
NVR can add and manage cameras in batches.
1. Download the on your computer at VIGI Security Manager
https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/vigi-security-manager/.
2. Install the and open it. VIGI Security Manager
3. NVR on the same network as your computer can be automatically discovered. Go to
Settings Disc > overed Devices Add, click , and follow the instructions to add
your NVR.
Method 3: Via the VIGI Security Manager (Windows only)
View live video and modify NVR settings on your computer.
Method 1: Via the TP-Link VIGI App
Remotely view live video, manage NVR, and get instant alerts.
1. Download and install the app.TP-Link VIGI
2. Open the app and log in with your TP-Link ID. If you don’t have an account, sign up rst.
3. Tap the button on the top right and follow the app instructions to add your NVR.+

Method 2: Via a Web Browser
View live video and modify NVR settings via a web browser.
1. Find the NVR's IP address on your router’s client page.
2. On your local computer, open a web browser and enter https://NVR’s IP address
(https://192.168.0.240 by default).
3. Select your and .Country/Region Time Zone
4. Set a password to activate the NVR.
Done. You can manage and change NVR settings, and add cameras on the web
management page.
Note:
Make sure your NVR can get access to the internet before binding.

If you want to add a precongured VIGI camera or a third-party camera after setup, follow
these steps:
If you want to add unprovisioned VIGI cameras after setup, just connect the cameras to the
same network as the NVR and they will be added automatically. The password preset for
cameras during setup will be applied to the unset cameras.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What should I do if I forget the login password of my NVR?
A1. Click Forgot Password on the login page and then follow the instructions to reset the
password.
A2. Remove the cover, then press and hold the Reset button inside the NVR for over 3
seconds. The NVR will restore to the factory settings. Then follow Quick Setup to create
a login password.
Q2. What can I do if no cameras are found?
A1. Refresh to discover your cameras again.
A2. Make sure the cameras are powered on.
A3. Make sure your cameras and NVR or computer are in the same network. If not, use the
VIGI Security Manager to set camera’s network parameters.
A4. Try to add your cameras manually.
A5. For other NVR brands, make sure you have activated the camera by setting a password
via the , VIGI Security Manager TP-Link VIGI app web management page or .
Q3. What can I do if my NVR fails to connect to the Internet?
A1. Check if the internet is working properly.
A2. Make sure your NVR is in the same network segment as your network devices, or select
Auto as the mode to congure the NVR to obtain a dynamic IP address. For more
details, please refer to the NVR’s User Guide.
Q4. How do I know the camera is powered on?
A1. The IR LED will turn on for 10 seconds once the camera is powered on. If it’s o, you
can cover the lens for several seconds and check if the IR LED turns on.
A2. Check the Ethernet port LED status of the network device your camera is connected
to.

Place the device with its bottom surface downward. Install it at stable places, and prevent it from falling.
The power adapter must be used indoors. Make sure that the temperature of the power adapter is within 0-40°C.
The plug on the power supply cord is used as the disconnect device, the socket-outlet shall be easily accessible.

1. Right-click the screen and click Live View Add Camera.
2. Select a camera and click to add the camera directly. If the connection status is + Not
certied, click the Edit icon and enter the camera’s password to verify it. If you have
disabled Plug and Play on your NVR, enter the camera’s password to add it.
3. Match the 4 screws on the HDD with the 4 holes on the NVR, and insert
the HDD interface into the slot.
4. Flip the NVR upside down and fasten the HDD screws. Replace the
cover and fasten the screws of the NVR. Stick the rubber feet.
