Installation

Installing a Drive

Warning! Handle drives with care.

1. Remove the (x 2) from the , using a Drive Tray Screws Enclosure Phillips Head

Screwdriver Cover Plate, and remove the .

2. Carefully pull the out of the . Drive Tray Enclosure

3. Remove the , using a .Drive-Mount Screw Phillips Head Screwdriver

4. Place the next to the and align the screw holes in the with Drive Drive Tray Drive

the on the to determine the desired Adjustable Drive Length Holes Drive Tray

Adjustable Drive Length Hole setting.

Note: If the drive mounting hardware is already installed in the correct position,

proceed to step 8.

5. Remove the and , using two sets of Drive Stando Nut Needle-nose Pliers.

6. Insert the and into the (60, 42, Drive Stando Nut Adjustable Drive Length Hole

or 30) according to the length of the .Drive

7. Tighten the and , using two sets of Stando Nut Needle-nose Pliers.

Disconnecting a Drive

Warning! If you remove the drive before you receive the notication that it’s safe to

do so, you could experience lost or corrupted data.

If the OS is Windows, complete the following steps:Host Computer’s

Windows PC

1. On the tray, click the icon.Notication Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media

2. Click the storage device that you want to remove.

3. When the message appears indicating that , it’s safe to remove the device

disconnect the drive.

If the OS is macOS, complete the following steps:Host Computer’s

macOS

1. Close any windows that list the contents of the drive.

2. On your desktop, click and drag the icon onto the icon on USB Storage Trash Can

your desktop.

3. Wait 5 seconds, then disconnect the drive.

8. Gently slide the on the at a 30-degree angle into the corresponding Connector Drive

Drive Connector Drive Tray on the .

Note: The on the is keyed so that it only ts one way.Connector Drive

9. Lightly push the down into position on the .Drive Drive Tray

10. Insert the through the screw hole in the and into the Drive-Mount Screw Drive

Drive-Mount Stando.

11. Tighten the , using a . Do not over-Drive-Mount Screw Phillips Head Screwdriver

tighten.

12. Slide the into the center grooves in the enclosure so that the Drive Tray USB-C Port

is facing outward.

13. Place the over the and circuit board. Secure the Cover Plate USB-C Port Cover Plate

in place by inserting two on either side of the on the Drive-Tray Screws USB-C Port

front of the enclosure and tighten, using a .Phillips Head Screwdriver

Connecting a Drive to a Computer

When the enclosure is connected to the the OS will automatically install the Computer

necessary software.

Note: The enclosure does not require an external power supply, as it receives enough

power through the USB port that it is connected to.

• Connect the or the to the USB-C to USB-C Cable USB-A to USB-C Cable USB-C Port

on the and to a on the .Enclosure USB Port Computer
