PRECAUTIONS
Follow the advice below for safe and appropriate operations.
INSTALLATION
. Do not use the unit in places which are extremely hot, cold, dusty, or humid.
. Place the unit on a flat and even surface.
. Do not restrict the airflow of the unit by placing it in a place with poor airflow, by covering it
with a cloth, or by placing it on a carpet.
. Do not place naked flame sources such as lighted candles on the apparatus.
. Use the apparatus only in moderate climates (not in tropical climates).
. Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing.
. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the apparatus.
SAFETY
. When connecting and disconnecting the AC power cord from the AC mains outlet, pull the plug
and not the cord itself. Pulling the cord may damage it and may be dangerous.
. The mains plug must remain readily operable.
. When you are not going to use the unit for a long period of time, disconnect the AC power cord
from the AC mains outlet.
AC VOLTAGE
. Before use, check that the rated voltage of your unit matches your local voltage.
CONDENSATION
. When there is condensation inside the unit, it may not function normally.
. Unplug the unit for 1 to 2 hours before turning the power back on, or gradually heat the room
up and dry the unit before use.
. Ensure a minimum distance of 5 cm around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation.
. Do not impede the ventilation by covering the ventilation openings with items such as
newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
BATTERIES
. Pay attention to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.

INSTALLING THE BATTERY
Installing the clock back up battery
Clock back up
The clock and alarm time can be maintained against power failure with a 3V lithium battery (not
supplied). In the event of power failure, the clock time will still run and the clock back-up battery
indicator “ ” is displayed, but without the display backlight. During power interruption, the clock
time may gain or lose a few minutes per hour and may require resetting.
Battery insertion
1. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit by pushing and rotating
anticlockwise.
2. Insert a 3V lithium battery (CR2025 or equivalent) into the battery compartment, following the
correct polarities marked inside the battery compartment.
3. Replace the battery cover by pushing and rotating clockwise.
Note: For optimum performance, the battery should be replaced every 6 months.
Precautions when using batteries
1. CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same
or equivalent type.
2.Ensure that you follow the correct polarities when installing the battery as indicated in the
battery compartment. Reversed batteries may cause damage to the unit.
3. Exhausted batteries must be removed to prevent possible battery leakage.
4. Dispose of batteries properly according to environmental regulations.
Notes on the clock back up battery
Please note that this unit will not operate fully by battery power alone. The batteries provide a
back up system only in the event of an interruption of the AC power supply.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Connecting the power supply
Insert the AC/DC adapter plug into the AC mains outlet with a 230V AC ~ 50Hz power source
and the other end into the DC IN 6V jack at the back of the unit. The unit goes to standby mode
and the clock starts to run.
Clock and Alarm time setting
Select 24-hour or 12-hour clock display
The 24-hour clock display is the default setting. Press and hold down the TIME button to select
the 12-hour clock display and “AM” or “PM” will be indicated on the display. Press and hold the
TIME button again to select the 24-hour clock display.
Setting the clock
1. Press the TIME button and the clock time display will flash.
2. Press the HOUR button to set the hours.
3. Press the MIN button to set the minutes.
4. Press and hold down the HOUR or MIN button to quickly change the hours or
minutes.
5. Press the TIME button again to confirm the time setting.

Setting the date
1. Press the DATE button and the date display will flash.
2. Press the DAY button to set the day.
3. Press the MONTH button to set the month.
4. Press and hold down the DAY or MONTH button to quickly change the day or month.
5. Press the DATE button again to confirm the time setting.
Note: On this unit, February contains 29 days. However, this only happens once every four
years. If the month of February only contains 28 days, you will have to correct the date at
the end of the month and go manually from 29/02 to 01/03.
Setting the alarm time
1. Press the ALARM button and the alarm time will flash.
2. Follow the above steps 2 to 4 in “Setting the clock” to set the alarm time and “ ” will be
displayed.
3. Press the ALARM button again to confirm the alarm time setting.
Alarm operation
The unit allows you to wake up to the sound of the buzzer or radio.
1. Press the ALARM button and alarm time will flash.
2. To adjust the alarm time, follow the above steps in “Setting the alarm time”.
3. Press the AL ON/MODE button to activate the alarm function.
4. Press the AL ON/MODE button again to select the buzzer ( ) or the radio
alarm mode ( ).
5. When the preset alarm time is reached, the alarm will sound in the selected
alarm mode (buzzer or radio).
6. Press button to stop the alarm and it will sound again the next day.
7. To cancel the alarm function, press and hold down the ALARM button for about 2 seconds.
Note: While the buzzer alarm volume is fixed and cannot be adjusted, the radio
alarm volume can be adjusted to your desired level using the VOLUME dial.
To select the station, refer to “RADIO OPERATION”.
Snooze function
When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to stop the alarm temporarily and it will
sound again after 9 minutes. This alarm cycle will repeat up to one hour. To cancel the
SNOOZE function and repeat the alarm the next day, press the button.
Temperature LCD display
Press the TEMP button to display the temperature in °C. After 5 seconds, the
date will be displayed again.
Multi-color LCD display
The LCD display backlight has a total of 7 colors, which are displayed in sequence. You can
choose to display one color only by pressing the COLOR button when the desired backlight
color is being displayed. Press this button again to return to automatic color changing.

RADIO OPERATION
Listening to the FM radio
1. Press the button to turn on the unit. The radio on LED lights up.
2. Turn the dial to receive an FM station. TUNING
3. Adjust the volume level by turning the VOLUME dial.
4. To turn off the radio, press the button to go to standby mode.
Note: Extend and position the FM antenna to achieve optimum reception.
Connecting headphones
Plug the headphones (not supplied) into the headphones jack at the back of the main unit for
private listening. The speaker output will be shut off automatically.
MAINTENANCE
Care and maintenance
To clean the unit, unplug it and wipe off dust and stains with a soft cloth moistened with a mild
soap and water solution only. Do not use benzene, thinner or similar chemicals to clean the
cabinet.
If at any time in the future you should need to dispose of this product, please note that waste
electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where
facilities exist. Check with your local authority or retailer for recycling advice (Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment Directive).
