A IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

1 This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and

than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and cable out of reach

U BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

• Fill the reservoir to the mark, and run the appliance without coﬀee.max

C FILLING

1 Remove the carafe from the hotplate.

2 Use the grip to open the lid, and expose the reservoir.

3 Fill with at least 2 cups of water, but not above the max mark.

4 Open up a #4 paper ﬁlter, and put it into the ﬁlter holder.

5 Put 1 scoop of ﬁlter-ground coﬀee into the ﬁlter for each cup.

6 Close the lid, and press down to lock it.

7 Replace the carafe on the hotplate.

1 SWITCHING ON

8 Put the plug into the power socket.

9 Move the switch to . The light will glow. The appliance will beep.1

10 Shortly afterwards, coﬀee will start to drip into the carafe.

11 When it’s done, the hotplate will keep the carafe warm. The appliance will beep 3 times.

12 About 40 minutes after brewing ﬁnishes, the appliance will shut down.

13 Move the switch to . The light will go oﬀ.0

14 Unplug, and let the appliance and carafe cool down fully before cleaning, or for about 10

minutes before reﬁlling.

15 After about 40 minutes, chemical changes will aﬀect the taste of the coﬀee.

C A QUICK CUP

16 You can remove the carafe at any time. To prevent the ﬁlter holder overﬂowing, replace the

carafe on the hotplate within about 20 seconds..

C CARE AND MAINTENANCE

17 Unplug the appliance and let it cool.

18 Wipe all surfaces with a clean damp cloth.

19 Press the lever at the rear of the carafe lid, above the handle, to open the carafe lid.

20 Wash the carafe and ﬁlter holder by hand, or in the top rack of a dishwasher.

21 Turn the ﬁlter holder to bring the slot in its rim towards the lid, then lower the ﬁlter holder

back into the coﬀee maker.

Descale regularly, (at least monthly).

22 Use a proprietary descaler. Follow the instructions accompanying the descaler.
