Nous vous remercions d’avoir choisi une tĂ©lĂ©commande universelle METRONIC et som-
mes persuadés
qu’elle vous donnera entiùre satisfaction. Le modùle ZAP 2 (495383)
permet de piloter 2 appareils :
TV et BOX ADSL. AprĂšs avoir mis les piles 1.5V AAA
(non fournies) dans l’emplacement prĂ©vu Ă  cet eet, vous pourrez installer votre
tĂ©lĂ©commande pour chaque type d’appareil Ă  commander. La tĂ©lĂ©commande uni-
verselle
METRONIC
est conçue pour commander la plupart des appareils de chaque
marque. Dans la procĂ©dure d’installation ci-dessous, nous donnons un exemple
pour le téléviseur (TV). Pour installer votre BOX ADSL remplacer TV par BOX. AprÚs
l’installation, il sut d’appuyer sur la touche TV ou BOX pour sĂ©lectionner un appa-
reil puis le piloter.
Installation par recherche automatique
1 - Allumez votre tĂ©lĂ©viseur. Étant donnĂ© que la recherche peut prendre un certain
temps (de quelques minutes à un quart d’heure) installez-vous confortablement
devant le téléviseur.
2 - Pressez la touche PROG, puis, tout en maintenant cette touche PROG enfoncée,
pressez la touche TV pendant quelques secondes, jusqu’à ce que le voyant s’al-
lume. Relùchez les deux touches, le voyant reste allumé.
3 - Appuyez sur la touche PROG, le voyant se met Ă  clignoter. Pressez et mainte-
nez enfoncée la touche
,
le voyant s’éteint. Maintenez la pression jusqu’à ce que
le voyant se remette Ă  clignoter lentement. La recherche automatique vient de
démarrer, le voyant reste allumé et clignote à chaque fois que la télécommande
essaie un nouveau code. Tenez-vous prĂȘt Ă  appuyer sur la touche OK.
4 - DĂšs que le tĂ©lĂ©viseur s’éteint, appuyez sur la touche OK, le voyant se met Ă  clignoter.
Appuyez sur la touche TV, le voyant s’éteint. Note : vous devez ĂȘtre susamment
rapide (moins d’une seconde entre le moment oĂč le tĂ©lĂ©viseur s’éteint et le moment
oĂč vous appuyez sur la touche OK) pour que la tĂ©lĂ©commande ne soit pas passĂ©e
au code suivant.
5 - Puisque le tĂ©lĂ©viseur s’est Ă©teint, rallumez-le avec la tĂ©lĂ©commande d’origine ou
avec les touches en face avant.
6 - Dirigez la télécommande vers votre téléviseur et essayez les fonctions principales
(changement de chaßne, réglage volume...). Si le téléviseur réagit mal ou pas du
tout aux touches de fonctions, poursuivez la recherche automatique en reprenant
Ă  l’étape 2. Si la tĂ©lĂ©commande pilote correctement le tĂ©lĂ©viseur, l’installation est
terminée.
Changement de piles
Lorsque la portée de la télécommande diminue, ou que la télécommande pré-
sente des dysfonctionnements, c’est probablement parce que les piles doivent
ĂȘtre changĂ©es. GrĂące Ă  sa sauvegarde dans une mĂ©moire interne, vous pouvez
changer les piles sans perdre vos réglages.

FOREWORD
Thank you for choosing a universal METRONIC remote. We are condent you will be
fully satised with this product. Models ZAP 2 enable to manage 2 appliances: TV or
ADSL box. After inserting the 1.5V AAA batteries (not supplied) in the remote, you
can set up the remote for each appliance that you wish to control. The universal
ME
TRONIC remote has been conceived to control most products of each brand. In
the set up details below, we use a TV as example. In order to set up the remote
for your ADSL box, replace ‘TV’ with ‘BOX’. After you have set up the remote, simply
press the TV or BOX key to select the appliance you wish to control.
Automatic Search
1 - Switch on your TV. The automatic search might take a little while (up to 15 minutes).
2 - Press the PROG and TV keys together for a few seconds until the light switches
on. When you release the keys the light should stay on.
3 - Press the PROG key. The light should start blinking. Press the key until the light
switches
o and slowly starts blinking again. This means the automatic search
has started. The light should stay on and blink every time a new code is entered.
You should be ready to press the OK key.
4 - As soon as the TV switches o, press the OK key. The light should start blinking.
Press the TV key. The light should switch o. Note: You should be quick enough
not to exceed 1 second before the next code from your remote control (a bit less
than 1 second between turning TV o and time to press key
OK
).
5 - As your TV is now switched o, switch it on again using the original remote or
with the front keys.
6 - Point the remote towards your TV and try using the main features (changing
channels, adjusting sound
). If the remote does not control the TV properly, try
the automatic set up again (from 2). If the remote controls the TV correctly, then
the set up is over.
Changing batteries
When the remote starts struggling to control the appliances or if it does not work
properly, you should try changing batteries. Thanks to its memory function, you can
change batteries withouht losing your settings on the remote.
