ā€¢ Perform a ā€˜pull testā€™ before each use: Inspect carefully before each use. Pull the paciļ¬er in
all directions. Throw away at the ļ¬rst signs of damage or weakness.
ā€¢ Only use dedicated paciļ¬er holders tested to EN 12586. Never attach other ribbons or
cords to a paciļ¬er, your child may be strangled by them.
ā€¢ Do not leave a paciļ¬er in direct sunlight or near a source of heat or leave in sterilizing solution for longer than recom-
mended, as this may weaken the nipple.
ā€¢ To ensure safety and hygiene replace the paciļ¬er every 1-2 months.
ā€¢ Before ļ¬rst use boil in water for 5 minutes or sterilize. Allow to stand for a further 5 minutes before giving it to baby.
ā€¢ During cleaning a small amount of water may enter the nipple. This can be expelled by squeezing the nipple.
This is to ensure hygiene.
ā€¢ Clean before each use.
ā€¢ Do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
ā€¢ Never dip the nipple in sweet substances or medication. This can cause tooth decay.
ā€¢ Do not worry if the paciļ¬er becomes lodged in the mouth. It cannot be swallowed and is designed to cope with such an
event. Remove as gently as possible.
ā€¢ MAM recommends giving up paciļ¬er usage at 3 years.
ā€¢ For glow-in-the-dark Night paciļ¬ers: To maintain the glow at night, keep the paciļ¬er in daylight, but not direct sunlight.
Sterilizer Box Instructions
ā€¢ Remove tamper-proof closure and any stickers from the box.
ā€¢ Wash paciļ¬ers and box with mild soapy water and then rinse with clear water before use. This is to ensure hygiene.
ā€¢ When using the self-sterilizing method, please ensure the paciļ¬er, box and microwave (including the waveguide-cover and
turntable) are COMPLETELY CLEAN and free from dirt, food residue, fat or oil splashes. If not, this could lead to the product
or box melting and the microwave sparking or the waveguide cover burning!)
ā€¢ First, hold box and ļ¬ll to the mark with 25ml / 0.9 ļ¬‚ oz of water (Fig. A).
ā€¢ Next, place paciļ¬er(s) in the box with the nipple facing down (Fig. B).
ā€¢ Close box and heat in the microwave at 750 - 1000 watts.
ā€¢ Set the microwave timer according to the number of boxes and paciļ¬ers
being simultaneously disinfected.
ā€¢ Follow the user manual instructions of your microwave. Donā€™t put the
sterilizer box at the center of the turntable. Donā€™t leave your microwave
unattended during disinfection process! Stop the microwaving process immediately if no water remains.
ā€¢ Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes.
ā€¢ Open disinfection. CAUTION! The box, water and paciļ¬ers may still be very hot after the 5 minute cooling period!
ā€¢ Open box and drain remaining water. Expel water from nipple by squeezing and shaking. Leave paciļ¬ers to dry in
slightly open box.
ā€¢ After microwave disinfection, paciļ¬ers kept in the closed box will remain disinfected for up to 48 hours.
ā€¢ Check the temperature of the paciļ¬er before use!
ā€¢ Improper water level, power level or time setting can damage the microwave, paciļ¬ers and box and result in poor disinfection!
ā€¢ For use only with MAM paciļ¬ers!
ā€¢ Keep all parts of the sterilizer box away from children.
