Connecting to Internet
Wireless network
You can connect wirelessly to the Internet via a wireless router. In the example configuration
for a wireless connection below, the unit would be able to access content from your computer
connected to the same wireless network.
The network configuration and connection method may vary depending on the equipment in
use and the network environment. The unit is equipped with a wireless module, which supports
802.11b/g standards.

Connecting to Computer
This radio can be connected to a computer via a wireless router. To playback music files from a
computer, make sure the unit and computer are in the same network.
• This unit cannot be connected to the standalone modem directly. A router or a
modem incorporated with a router has to be used.
• Since there are various connection configurations, please follow the specifications
and instructions of your telecommunication carrier, Internet service provider, and
router setting guidebook.

Initial Setup
When you first connect the unit to the mains socket, the unit will
display the Setup wizard screen.
Turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to select YES to start setup
or NO to skip setup then press to confirm.
When NO is selected, the unit will display the Main menu.
To start setup, turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to select the options, then press to confirm.
Options in the setup wizard include the following:
Date/Time
Set 12 or 24 hour format
Auto update
• Update from DAB
• Update from FM
• Update from Network
Select your time zone and daylight savings.
• No update
Set the date and time.
You have to select your SSID and input the password after
setting the above to connect to the network. To input the
password, turn / / then press SNOOZE SCROLL SELECT
to confirm each selected alphanumeric character. Select
OK after inputting the password. Select BKSP to edit the
previous character. Select CANCEL
to cancel the password

Basic Operation
Switching ON/OFF
• Press to switch the unit to Standby mode or mode.On
• Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit off
completely.
Selecting Modes
Press , , MODE to switch between Internet radio Music player DAB radio and radio.FM
Adjusting the Volume
Turn - VOLUME + to increase/decrease the volume.
Activating the Alarm Function
Ensure the time and date is set before you can activate the alarm function.
1. Ensure the unit is turned ON (not in STANDBY ALARM mode), then press . Turn SNOOZE/
SCROLL/SELECT to select Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 then press to confirm.
2. Turn SNOOZE/SCROLL/SELECT to select the options, then press to confirm.
Enable Alarm frequency:
• Off – alarm will be off.
• Daily – alarm will be active every day.
• Once alarm will be active only once.
• Weekends – alarm will be active on Saturday and Sunday.
• Weekdays – alarm will be active from Monday to Friday.
Time Alarm time: HH:MM.
Mode Alarm mode: Buzz, Internet radio, DAB, FM.
Preset Alarm preset: or Last listened Saved preset station. (not available for Buzz
mode)
Volume Alarm volume.
Save Save the alarm.
3. 1 or 2 will show on the display.
If the wake-up mode is DAB and the DAB signal strength is low,
the buzz alarm will be triggered.

GB Connecting to Network
When you first listen to Internet Radio, you must connect to the Internet via a wireless network.
Setup the Internet network as follows:
1. Ensure the unit in ON (not in STANDBY mode) then press MENU.
2. Turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT and press to select . The display will Internet radio
show SSID (Service Set Identifier) of all the available Internet networks after scanning.
3. Turn .SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT and press to select SSID / [Rescan] / [Manual config]
SSID Select wireless network.
Rescan Scan for available networks.
Manual config Select wireless network with DHCP enable/disable.
4. After a successful connection to the network, the Internet radio menu will show on the
display.
When the wireless network selected is WEP/WPA secured, a password has to be input
for a successful connection. Turn then press to confirm SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT
each selected alphanumeric character. Select OK after inputting the password. Select
BKSP to edit the previous character. Select CANCEL
to cancel the password input.
Settings
Press MENU. Turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to select the options then press to confirm.
Main menu System settings
In the System settings screen, turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to scroll through the options
then press to confirm.

Network
In the Network screen, turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to scroll through the options then
press to confirm.
Network wizard • SSID – select the wireless network.
• Rescan – scan for available networks.
• Manual config select wireless network with DHCP enable/disable.
WPS setup • Push Button – press the WPS button on the device you wish to
connect with.
• Pin – enter the code of the device you wish to connect with.PIN
View settings Display the setting on the unit.
Manual settings Select wireless network with DHCP enable/disable.
Network profile View the connected network.
Time/Date
The clock can be set and updated automatically if you can receive DAB/ FM signals in your
location. In order for the clock to synchronise to the current local time you must leave it on one
DAB/FM station for a short period of time.
You can also set the time and date manually. In the Time/Date screen, turn SNOOZE / SCROLL /
SELECT to scroll through the options then press to confirm.
Set Time/Date DD:MM:YY
HH:MM
Auto update Update from DAB / Network / No update.
Set format 12 or 24 hour format.
Set time zone Select a time zone.
(Only available when Auto update from Network is on.)
Daylight savings Select daylight savings.
(Only available when Auto update from Network is on.)
Language
In the Language screen, turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to scroll through the options then
press to confirm.
Factory reset
In the Factory screen, turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to select YES or NO then press to
confirm.
After factory reset, all tuned stations, preset stations and alarm settings
will be erased.

GB Recalling a Preset Station
1. Once you have saved a station, you can recall a preset station by pressing PRESET. “Recall
from Preset” menu will show on the display.
2. Turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to select a preset station you wish to listen then press
to confirm.
3. “P#” will show on the display to indicate the preset station you are listening to.
Music Player Operation
This function is for more advanced users.
The built-in Music Player allows you to play unprotected audio files (AAC, MP3, WMA) stored on
a networked computer. To play music from a computer, you must set up a share file or media
library on a computer.
Press MODE repeatedly to select Music player mode. Turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to
scroll through the options then press to confirm.
Shared Media
Please ensure that your computer is available on the network, and that your computer is set up
to allow sharing your media folders or files. Check how to set up a folder for sharing from your
computers instruction manual.
1. Press SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to scan for all the available share media folders or files.
2. The display will show all found media folders from the network. Turn SNOOZE / SCROLL /
SELECT to select the computer that you wish to connect to then press to confirm.
3. The unit will search for all shared media from the computer.
4. Turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to select your shared media then press to confirm.
This unit cannot access your computer until your computer allows it to.
Repeat Play Mode
Press SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT repeatedly to turn repeat play on or off.
Shue Mode
Press SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT repeatedly to turn shuffle play on or off.
Prune servers
You may remove those servers no longer used.
Turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to select to remove servers that are no longer available YES
or NO, then press to confirm.

DAB Operation
1. Press MODE repeatedly to select radio.DAB
2. The unit will automatically perform auto scan function. During the scan, the display will
show “Scanning…” that indicates the progress of the scan and the amount of stations that
have been found so far.
3. Once the scan has finished, the unit will display a list of the found stations. Explore the
found stations by turning SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT then press to confirm selected
station. All stations that have been found will be automatically stored.
In DAB mode, turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to scroll through the options then press to
confirm.
Station List Select from a list of DAB stations.
Scan Perform auto scan.
Prune Invalid Select YES or NO to remove all invalid stations.
DRC (Dynamic Range
Compression)
If you are listening to music with high dynamic range in a noisy
environment, you may wish to compress the audio dynamic range.
Select DRC high, low or off.
Station order Select to arrange the station listing in Alphanumeric, Ensemble or
Valid order.
Presetting Stations
You can store up to 10 of your favourite stations to the memory. This will enable you to access
your favourite stations quickly and easily.
1. To store a preset, you must first be listening to the station that you would like to save.
2. Press and hold PRESET. “Save to Preset” menu will show on the display.
3. Turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to select a preset number then press to confirm.
4. The station will be stored and the station name will show on the display.
Recalling a Preset Station
1. Once you have saved a station, you can recall a preset menu by pressing PRESET. “Recall
from Preset” menu will show on the display.
2. Turn SNOOZE / SCROLL / SELECT to select a preset number then press to confirm.
3. “P#” will show on the display to indicate the preset station you are listening to.
