IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS:

9. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their
safety.
10. Extreme caution must be exercised when using an appliance containing hot coee.
11. Do not allow cord to touch the hot surface of the coee maker.
12. For protection against electric shock, do not immerse the coee maker in water or any other liquid.
13. The use of any accessory not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in re,
electric shock or injury of the user.
14. Always ensure that the lid is closed and the cup is properly placed in the unit. Do not lift the cup
while coee is dripping. Scalding may occur if the cup is removed during the brewing cycle. Do
not touch the hot surfaces of the coee maker.
15. Avoid placing the cup on a wet or cold surface especially when hot.
16. Do not use the cup if it has a crack.
17. Do not use the cup for other purposes.

DESCRIPTION OF PARTS:
HOW TO USE:
1. For initial use, wash lter basket and the cup thoroughly.
2. Plug the unit into a convenience outlet. Always make sure that the unit is in the “OFF” position.
3. Swing out the funnel; place the lter basket holder with the lter basket and make sure that it is properly
assembled.
4. Put the ground coee into the lter basket according to your taste preferences.
5. Open the lid of the water tank, pour water and close the water tank cover.
Note: Do not ll water tank above the maximum level as indicated on water gauge.
6. Wipe and place the cup into the unit.
7. S witch “ON” the unit.
8. During the brewing cycle, the water will automatically drip into the cup.
9. After the brewing cycle (coffee stops dripping out), wait for one minute before removing the cup to
serve.
Note: The coee you get will be less than the water you have poured, as some water is
absorbed by the coee grounds.
10. After use, switch OFF and unplug the unit from the convenience outlet.
HINTS FOR GREAT-TASTING COFFEE:
1. A clean coee maker is essential for making great-tasting coee. Regularly clean the coee maker
as specified in the “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” section.
2. Always use fresh tap water in brewing coffee.
3. Store unused ground coee in a cool, dry place. After opening a package of ground coee, store it in
an airtight container to maintain its freshness.
4. For the best coee taste, buy whole coee beans and nely grind them just before brewing.
5. Do not reuse ground coee since this will greatly reduce the coee avor. Reheating coee is not
recommended as coee is at its peak avor after brewing.
6. Clean the coee maker because over-extraction may cause oiliness. Small Oil droplets on the surface
of brewed, black coee are due to the extraction of oil from the ground coee.
7. Oiliness may occur more frequently if heavily roasted coees are used.
