• Vergewissere Dich vor dem Anschluss des Edition Blue™ DFX, dass
der nahe der Netzbuchse angegebene Spannungswert mit der
vorhandenen Netzspannung ĂĽbereinstimmt.
• Stelle eine ausreichende Luftzufuhr an den Kühlflächen des
Gerätes sicher.
• Achte auf einen festen Stellplatz, der mechanische und thermische
Fremdeinwirkungen, welche die Betriebssicherheit des Gerätes oder
die Sicherheit von Personen beeinträchtigen könnten, ausschließt.
• Für Schäden am Gerät, die durch unsachgemäßen Betrieb entstehen

1 Die Kanäle des Edition Blue™ DFX
Der Edition Blue™ DFX ist mit zwei Kanälen, Clean und Lead,
ausgestattet. Sein innovatives Schaltungskonzept, das wichtige
soundgestaltende Elemente von Röhrenamps in Halbleitertechnik
simuliert, verleiht beiden Kanälen die Dynamik, die ein anspruchsvoller
Gitarrist fĂĽr seinen musikalischen Ausdruck braucht. Die sensible
Vorstufe des Edition Blue™ DFX realisiert nicht nur harmonischen
Overdrive, sondern auch ein besonders dynamisches Reagieren
auf die Spielweise.
1.1 Der Clean-Kanal
Je nach Einstellung der Vorstufe können moderne oder „Vintage”
Cleansounds realisiert werden.
1.2 Volume
Regelt die Lautstärke des Clean-Kanals. Je nach Ausgangsleistung der
Pickups lassen sich ab ca. „12 Uhr“ Stellung leicht übersteuerte Sounds
realisieren. Bei Bedarf wird so aus diesem Clean- ein Crunch-Kanal.
1.3 Channel Select
Schaltet zwischen Clean- und dem Lead-Kanal um. Bei gedrĂĽcktem
Schalter ist der Lead-Kanal aktiv.
1.4 Der Lead-Kanal
Klassische, offene Rocksounds – direkt und dynamisch. Insbesondere
die effektive Mittenregelung an der Klangregelung ermöglicht eine
groĂźe Bandbreite von Leadsounds.
1.5 Lead Gain
Kontrolliert den Ăśbersteuerungsgrad des Lead-Kanals.
1.6 Volume
Regelt die Lautstärke des Lead-Kanals im Verhältnis zum Clean-Kanal.
1.7 Bass, Mid, Treble
Die Klangregelung gilt für beide Kanäle. Mid und Treble beeinflussen
sich gegenseitig (wie beim Vorbild Röhrenamp üblich und erwünscht):
eine Höhenanhebung bewirkt eine Mittenabsenkung und umgekehrt.
Diese Charakteristik ermöglicht ein größtmögliches Spektrum von
Soundnuancen.
1.8 Master
Kontrolliert die Gesamtlautstärke des Edition Blue™ DFX inklusive der
Effekte. Der Pegel des Line Out bleibt von diesem Regler unbeeinflusst.
2 Die Effekte des Edition Blue™ DFX
Der Edition Blue™ DFX ist mit zwei unabhängigen „Effektgeräten“
ausgestattet. Gerät 1: Modulationseffekte und Delay, Gerät 2: digitales
Spring-Reverb. Die beiden Effektgeräte sind gleichzeitig nutzbar und
unabhängig voneinander einstellbar. Die Einstellungen gelten sowohl
fĂĽr den Clean- als auch fĂĽr den Lead-Kanal.
2.1 Preset Adjust
Der erste Effektsektion des Edition Blue™ DFX bietet Dir die beiden
wichtigsten Modulationseffekte Chorus und Flanger, sowie ein Delay.
Sie liegen hintereinander auf dem Preset Adjust-Regler. Im ersten
Drittel ist der Chorus aktiv, im zweiten Drittel der Flanger, im letzten
Drittel das Delay. Innerhalb eines Drittels kannst Du mit diesem Poti
den Charakter des Effektes ändern. Die Parameter sind dabei so
gewählt, dass sich stets gut klingende Werte einstellen lassen, die
schnell und unkompliziert zum gewĂĽnschten Effekt fĂĽhren. Durch
Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn ändert sich die Geschwindigkeit (Rate) der
Modulationseffekte. Abhängig von der Rate wird die Modulationstiefe
(Depth) automatisch so mitgeregelt, dass bei jeder Reglerstellung
immer der bestmögliche Effektsound zu hören ist. Beim Delay ändern
sich gleichzeitig die Verzögerungszeit (Time) sowie die Anzahl der
Wiederholungen (Feedback). Das Mischungsverhältnis zwischen
„trockenem“ Signal und den Effekten lässt sich stufenlos mit FX Level
regeln.
2.2 Chorus
Bei langsamen Einstellungen klingt der Chorus schön tief und
fett, bestens geeignet fĂĽr schwebende Balladensounds. Dank der
automatisch mitgeregelten Effekt-Tiefe „jaulen“ schnelle Chorus-
Einstellungen nicht.
2.3 Flanger
Der langsame Flanger „fräst richtig heftig“, mit den schnellen
Einstellungen lassen sich aktuelle Rock- und Pop-Effekte realisieren.
2.4 Delay
Beim Delay wird die Zeit bis zur nächsten Wiederholung stufenlos von
80 ms bis 1400 ms geregelt. Dabei wird das Feedback automatisch
angepasst. Die kurzen Delays mit wenig Feedback eignen sich bestens
für „Rockabilly“-Sounds, mittlere Zeiten sind perfekt für typische
„U2“-Sounds, mit langen Zeiten lassen sich kanonartige „Queen-Licks“
spielen.
2.5 FX Level
Dieser Regler bestimmt, wieviel Chorus/Flanger/Delay dem Sound
beigemischt werden sollen. Bei Linksanschlag ist das Signal „trocken“,
Effektsektion eins quasi ausgeschaltet. Beim Rechtsanschlag besteht ein
Mischungsverhältnis von 1:1. Der FX Level-Regler arbeitet unabhängig
vom Reverb-Regler.
