Für die Installation sind insbesondere folgende Fachkenntnisse

erforderlich:

• Die anzuwendenden „5 Sicherheitsregeln“: Freischalten; gegen

Wiedereinschalten sichern; Spannungsfreiheit feststellen; Erden

und Kurzschließen; benachbarte, unter Spannung stehende

Teile abdecken oder abschranken;

• Auswahl des geeigneten Werkzeuges, der Messgeräte und ggf.

der persönlichen Schutzausrüstung;

• Auswertung der Messergebnisse;

• Auswahl des Elektro-Installationsmaterials zur Sicherstellung der

Abschaltbedingungen;

• IP-Schutzarten;

• Einbau des Elektroinstallationsmaterials;

• Art des Versorgungsnetzes (TN-System, IT-System, TT-System)

und die daraus folgenden Anschlussbedingungen (klassische

Nullung, Schutzerdung, erforderliche Zusatzmaßnahmen etc.).

Sie haben die Möglichkeit, den Stellantrieb direkt an

• elektromechanische Wandthermostate oder

• an Homematic IP Fußbodenheizungsaktoren

anzuschließen.

Für den Anschluss des Stellantriebs an elektromechani-

sche Wandthermostate folgen Sie der Anschlussbelegung

des jeweiligen Wandthermostats.

Für den Anschluss des Ventilantriebs an einen Home-

matic IP Fußbodenheizungsaktor gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

• Schließen Sie die Anschlussleitungen des Stellantriebs

an die Klemmstellen der entsprechenden Heizzone des

Fußbodenheizungsaktors an.

6. Wartung und Reinigung

Das Gerät ist wartungsfrei. Überlassen Sie eine

Wartung oder Reparatur einer Fachkraft.

Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem weichen, sauberen,

trockenen und fusselfreien Tuch. Für die Entfernung

von stärkeren Verschmutzungen kann das Tuch leicht

mit lauwarmem Wasser angefeuchtet werden. Verwen-

den Sie keine lösemittelhaltigen Reinigungsmittel, das

Kunststoffgehäuse und die Beschriftung können dadurch

angegriffen werden.

2. Hinweise zu dieser Anleitung

Lesen Sie diese Anleitung sorgfältig, bevor Sie den

eQ-3 Stellantrieb in Betrieb nehmen. Bewahren Sie die

Anleitung zum späteren Nachschlagen auf! Wenn Sie

das Gerät anderen Personen zur Nutzung überlassen,

übergeben Sie auch diese Anleitung.

3. Gefahrenhinweise

Öffnen Sie das Gerät nicht. Es enthält keine durch

den Anwender zu wartenden Teile. Lassen Sie das

Gerät im Fehlerfall von einer Fachkraft prüfen.

Aus Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen (CE) ist

das eigenmächtige Umbauen und/oder Verändern

des Gerätes nicht gestattet.

Betreiben Sie das Gerät nur in trockener sowie

staubfreier Umgebung, setzen Sie es keinem

Einuss von Feuchtigkeit, Vibrationen, ständiger

Sonnen- oder anderer Wärmeeinstrahlung, Kälte

und keinen mechanischen Belastungen aus.

Das Gerät ist kein Spielzeug! Erlauben Sie Kindern

nicht damit zu spielen. Lassen Sie das Verpa-

ckungsmaterial nicht achtlos liegen. Plastikfoli-

en/-tüten, Styroporteile etc. können für Kinder zu

einem gefährlichen Spielzeug werden.

unsachgemäße Handhabung oder Nichtbeachten

der Gefahrenhinweise verursacht werden,

Das Gerät darf nur für ortsfeste Installationen

verwendet werden. Das Gerät ist sicher innerhalb

einer festen Installation zu xieren.

Der Stellantrieb ist Teil der Gebäudeinstallation. Bei

der Planung und Errichtung sind die einschlägigen

Normen und Richtlinien des Landes zu beachten.

Der Betrieb des Gerätes ist ausschließlich am

230 V/50 Hz-Wechselspannungsnetz zulässig.

Arbeiten am 230 V-Netz dürfen nur von einer

Elektrofachkraft (nach VDE 0100) erfolgen. Dabei

sind die geltenden Unfallverhütungsvorschriften zu

beachten. Zur Vermeidung eines elektrischen

Schlages am Gerät, schalten Sie bitte die

Netzspannung frei (Sicherungsautomat abschalten).

Bei Nichtbeachtung der Installationshinweise

können Brand oder andere Gefahren entstehen.

Eine Überlastung kann zur Zerstörung des Gerätes,

zu einem Brand oder zu einem elektrischen Schlag

führen.

Das Gerät ist nur für den Einsatz in wohnungsähnli-

chen Umgebungen geeignet.

Jeder andere Einsatz, als der in dieser Bedienungs-

anleitung beschriebene, ist nicht bestimmungsge-

mäß und führt zu Gewährleistungs- und Haftungs-

ausschluss.

4. Funktion

Der eQ-3 Stellantrieb 230 V öffnet und schließt Ventile

an Heizkreisverteilern, Radiatoren und Konvektoren.

Im stromlosen Zustand hält der Stellantrieb das Ventil

geschlossen (NC) (vgl. nachfolgende Abbildung).

Die Ansteuerung des Stellantriebs erfolgt entweder

konventionell über elektromechanische Wandthermostate

oder im Smart Home z. B. über Homematic IP Fußbo-

denheizungsaktoren (HmIP-FAL230-C6 oder HmIP-

FAL230-C10) in Kombination mit dem Homematic IP

Wandthermostaten (HmIP-WTH-2).

Der Stellantrieb kann einfach ohne Werkzeug auf dem

Ventil montiert werden. Mit dem im Lieferumfang enthalte-

nen Ventiladapter ist der Stellantrieb universell einsetzbar

und passend für alle Ventile mit dem Gewindemaß M30

x 1,5 mm der gängigsten Hersteller wie z. B. Heimeier,

MNG, Junkers, Honeywell-Braukmann, Oventrop, Co-

map, Schlösser und vielen mehr. Weitere Informationen

dazu entnehmen Sie bitte der Ventilkompatibilitätsliste (zu

nden im Downloadbereich unter www.eQ-3.de)

5. Inbetriebnahme

Lesen Sie den Abschnitt zur Montage und

Installation erst vollständig, bevor Sie mit der

Inbetriebnahme beginnen.

5.1 Montage

Der Stellantrieb kann in beliebiger Position (z. B.

über Kopf) montiert werden.

Für die Montage sind keinerlei Werkzeuge

erforderlich.

Um den Stellantrieb zu montieren, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

• Prüfen Sie, ob ihr Ventil dem Gewindemaß M30 x 1,5 mm

entspricht. Wir empfehlen dafür die Verwendung der

Ventilschablone (zu nden im Downloadbereich unter

www.eQ-3.de). Weicht das Gewindemaß ab, benötigen

Sie einen entsprechenden Ventiladapter.

• Sie können das in die Verpackung integrierte Beschrif-

tungsschild am Ventil befestigen, um das Ventil zu

benennen.

• Drehen Sie den beiliegenden Ventiladapter (VA 80) auf

das Ventil auf.

• Setzen Sie den Stellantrieb auf den Adapter auf. Achten

Sie darauf, dass der Stellantrieb vollständig einrastet.

Um das Gerät zu demontieren, drücken Sie die

Verrastung ein und nehmen Sie den Stellantrieb

vom Adapter ab.

5.2 Installation

Please read this manual carefully before beginning oper-

ation with your eQ-3 Valve Drive. Keep the manual so you

can refer to it at a later date if you need to. If you hand

over the device to other persons for use, please hand

over this manual as well.

3. Hazard information

Do not open the device. It does not contain any

parts that can be maintained by the user. If you

have any doubts, have the device checked by an

expert.

For safety and licensing reasons (CE), unauthorized

change and/or modication of the device is not

permitted.

The device may only be operated in dry and

dust-free environment and must be protected from

the effects of moisture, vibrations, solar or other

methods of heat radiation, cold and mechanical

loads.

The device is not a toy; do not allow children to play

with it. Do not leave packaging material lying

around. Plastic lms/bags, pieces of polystyrene,

etc. can be dangerous in the hands of a child.

We do not assume any liability for damage to

property or personal injury caused by improper use

or the failure to observe the hazard information. In

such cases, any claim under warranty is extin-

guished! For consequential damages, we assume

no liability!

The device may only be used for xed installations.

The device must be securely attached within a xed

installation.

The valve drive is part of the building installation.

The relevant national standards and directives must

be taken into consideration during planning and

set-up. The device has been designed solely for

operation on a 230 V/50 Hz AC supply. Only

qualied electricians (to VDE 0100) are permitted to

carry out work on the 230 V mains. Applicable

accident prevention regulations must be complied

with whilst such work is being carried out. To avoid

electric shocks from the device, please disconnect

the mains voltage (trip the miniature circuit-breaker).

Non-compliance with the installation instructions

can cause re or introduce other hazards.

Exceeding this capacity could lead to the

destruction of the device, res or electric shocks.

The device may only be operated within residential

buildings.

Using the device for any purpose other than that

described in this operating manual does not fall

within the scope of intended use and shall invalidate

any warranty or liability.

4. Function

The eQ-3 Valve Drive 230 V opens and closes valve

drives of heating manifolds, radiators and convection

heaters. If voltage is not applied, the valve drive holds the

valve closed (NC) (see the following gure).

The valve drive is controlled either conventionally via

electromechanical wall thermostats or within the smart

home e.g. via Homematic IP Floor Heating Actuators

(HmIP-FAL230-C6 or HmIP-FAL230-C10) in combination

with the Homematic IP Wall Thermostat (HmIP-WTH-2).

The valve drive can be easily mounted to the valve

without any tools. With the valve adapter included in the

package content, the valve drive can be universally used

for valves from the most popular manufacturers (e.g.

Heimeier, MNG, Junkers, Honeywell-Braukmann, Oven-

trop, Comap, Schlösser and many more) with a thread

size of M30 x 1.5 mm. For detailed information, please

refer to the valve compatibility list, available for download

in the download area of www.eQ-3.de.

5. Start-up

Please read this entire section regarding mounting

and installation before starting to use the device.

5.1 Mounting

The valve drive can be installed in any position (e.g.

upside down).

For installation, no tools are required.

To install the valve drive, proceed as follows:

• Make sure if the valve drive ts to the thread size M30 x

1.5 mm. We recommend to use the valve template avail-

able for download in the download area of www.eQ-3.de.

If the valve drive differs, you will need a corresponding

adapter.

• You can use the labelling eld integrated in the product

packaging and x it to the valve in order to allocate a

name.

• Attach the supplied valve adapter (VA 80) to the valve.

• Attach the valve drive to the adapter. Make sure that

the valve drive engages properly.

To disassemble the device press the catch and

remove the valve drive from the adapter.

5.2 Installation

Please note! Only to be installed by persons

with the relevant electro-technical knowledge

and experience!*

Incorrect installation can put

• your own life at risk;

• and the lives of other users of the electrical system.

Incorrect installation also means that you are running the

risk of serious damage to property, e.g. because of a re.

You may be personally liable in the event of injuries or

damage to property.

Contact an electrical installer!

*Specialist knowledge required for installation:

The following specialist knowledge is particularly important during

installation:

• The “5 safety rules” to be used: Disconnect from mains;

Safeguard from switching on again; Check that system is deen-

ergised; Earth and short circuit; Cover or cordon off neighbouring

live parts;

• Select suitable tool, measuring equipment and, if necessary,

personal safety equipment;

• Evaluation of measuring results;

• Selection of electrical installation material for safeguarding shut-

off conditions;

• IP protection types;

• Installation of electrical installation material;

• Type of supply network (TN system, IT system, TT system) and

the resulting connecting conditions (classical zero balancing,

protective earthing, required additional measures etc.).

You can connect the valve drive directly

• to electromechanical wall thermostats or

• a Homematic IP Floor Heating Actuator.

For connecting the valve drive to electromechanical wall

thermostats, please follow the terminal assignment of the

corresponding wall thermostat.

For connecting the valve drive to a Homematic IP Floor

Heating Actuator, please proceed as follows:

• Connect the connecting cables of the valve drive to the

clamp terminals of the corresponding heating zones of

the oor heating actuator.

6. Maintenance and cleaning

The product does not require any maintenance.

Enlist the help of an expert to carry out any

maintenance or repairs.

Clean the device using a soft, lint-free cloth that is clean

and dry. You may dampen the cloth a little with lukewarm

water in order to remove more stubborn marks. Do not

use any detergents containing solvents, as they could

corrode the plastic housing and label.
