PRELIMINARY CHECK

undamaged. If in doubt, do not use it and contact a qualified person or the

PARTS IDENTIFICATION
The PIETRO coffee grinder consists of the following main parts:
- Airtight lid with coffee loading hopper.
- Central body with coffee loading hopper.
- Grinding degree adjustment ring nut.
- Grinding unit with fixed grinder and retractable lever.
- Rear extractable burr
- Ground coffee collection container with non-slip bottom and fixing magnets.
GRINDING SIZE SETTING
PIETRO is able to meet the most diverse grinding requirements and allows you to grind
coffee beans to prepare the espresso, mocha or filter coffee most suited to your taste.
Simply turn the rear adjustment ring to grind the coffee beans according to your
preferences.
USE OF THE COFFEE GRINDER
Once you have opened the package and removed the grinder from its packaging, you
are ready to start grinding your coffee beans by following a few intuitive steps.
1. With empty loading hopper, turn the rear adjustment ring to set the desired grinding
size.
2. Pull the grinding lever completely out of its housing and turn it to the end position.
3. Release and move the lever to the low rest position.
4. Remove the lid from the hopper and fill it with coffee beans (max. 60 g), then
close the hopper with the lid.
5. Place the grinder on a stable, flat surface, hold it firmly with one hand and grind all
the coffee by turning the lever clockwise with the other hand.
6. When you have finished grinding, close the lever and remove the container full of
ground coffee from the grinder.
You can now use the freshly ground beans to prepare your coffee with an espresso
machine, mocha pot or for filter recipes.
DISASSEMBLY AND CLEANING (look A)
After each use, completely clean PIETRO to keep it in optimal condition for subsequent
use.
ATTENTION! During disassembly (and subsequent reassembly) of the grinder, pay
attention to the sharp surfaces of the burrs and make sure that they do not fall.
Disassembly for cleaning
Make sure that you have finished grinding all the coffee beans in the hopper and the
grinding chamber.
1. With the lever in the down position, press the release pin and, keeping it pressed,
rotate the grinding unit anti-clockwise until it disengages from the central body (45°
rotation).
2. Remove the grinding unit from the central body. The fixed front burr with lever
group will be pulled out.
3. Grab the rear rotary burr by the bolt and pull it completely out of its housing.
4. Pull the container downwards and detach it from the main body.
5. Remove the upper lid.
6. Clean all interior and exterior surfaces of the disassembled parts using a clean, soft
brush and a dry cloth.
Cleaning instructions
Do not use water or other liquids, chemicals or abrasives to clean the grinder.
Only use clean, dry and sanitized cloths and hard bristle brushes for cleaning.
IMPORTANT! Remove all coffee residues from the interior surfaces of the grinding
chamber and especially from the housing of the rear rotary burr.
Clean the surfaces of the two burrs using a dry, hard-bristled brush.
ASSEMBLY (look B)
1. Mount the upper lid and the lower coffee container on the main body.
2. Insert the rear rotating burr into its position until it reaches the end point.
3. Turn the bolt to orient the black fin downwards.
4. Hold down the locking pin and rotate the front burr until it stops rotating (CLICK).
5. While holding down the locking pin, slide the lever group into the central body in a
45° position.
6. Without releasing the locking pin, rotate the grinding unit clockwise until it reaches
the end of its stroke in a vertical position (45° rotation). Now release the locking pin.
7. Rotate the lever to the upright position.
8. Close the lever and insert it into its slot before storing the grinder for further use.
