RELAY OPERATION PROGRAMS
All these four relays can be conξΏgured to operate in
the three different modes listed below:
- AUTOMATIC The relay works automatically accord-
ing to the time programming set by the user.
- ALWAYS OPEN The relay contact is always kept
open.
- ALWAYS CLOSED The relay contact is always kept
closed.
TIME PROGRAMMING
All four outputs may be piloted to close according to
the time programming of three time bands for each
day of the week, when the related relay has been pro-
grammed in AUTOMATIC mode.
In the period between the three ON and the three
OFF times, the output is piloted to close whereas out
of this period it is piloted to open. If one of the three
time bands is excluded (to do this press the PLUS
and MINUS keys of the remote keyboard to highlight
the dashes --,--) the output is piloted to open.
USE
The EV91D module is suitable to be used on all
plants where it is necessary to start pumps, generic
motors, mixing valves, etc. It is therefore suitable to
be used on heating and/or air-conditioning plants,
greenhouses, swimming pools and industrial plants.
OPERATION
The EV91D module features four relays, each of
which may be associated with an operation program
and a weekly time programming.

INSTALLATION
INSTALLING THE CONTROL UNIT
Mount the device onto the DIN rail inside a panel in
order to provide suitable protection. Removable ter-
minal boards facilitate wiring and replacement. Con-
necting leads to the control unit must have a section
of at least 1 mm2 and a length of 1000 metres.
CONNECTION TO THE FANBUS
Connect the EV91D control unit to the Master EV90
through the FANBUS. Bear in mind that the bus has
low voltage and it is not polarised, terminals can
therefore be inverted with each other without causing
malfunction.
CONTROL UNIT ADDRESS
The control units must be addressed through the
terminal board to work properly. The address of the
EV91D unit is made up of a high part that corresponds
to number β5β, and a low part that may take on a
value between β0β and β7β. The MASTER unit starts a
progressive search of SLAVES EV91D from address
β50β and it will stop if it gets no reply. It is therefore
necessary that connected slaves have different con-
secutive addresses starting from address β0β.
The diagrams below show how to set the low part of
the address through terminal board βAβ :

EV91D WIRING DIAGRAM
The wiring diagram on the right shows that relays 1
and 2 feature both a normally open and a normally
closed contact whereas relays 3 and 4 feature just
the normally open contact. Programming made by
the user for the four relays always refer to the nor-
mally open contact.
SETTINGS AND ADJUSTMENTS
FACTORY SETTINGS
The EV91D leaves the factory with all parameters
set for standard operation. Should it be necessary to
reset factory parameters (default data), turn off the
power supply, then turn it on again while pressing the
key on the front panel. All data entered will be lost,
whereas factory parameters will be reset.
INITIALISING THE DEVICE
Each time the control unit is powered, the leds set on
the front panel will start ξashing simultaneously until
the Master EV90 starts communicating with the rele-
vant device by selecting its address or transmitting
time data through the bus. As from this moment the
control unit will start working regularly.
SETTINGS AND ADJUSTMENTS
To modify EV91D data it is necessary to use the
Master EV90 that will act like the display and the re-
mote keyboard of the EV91D. Data is entered through
special menus provided for the purpose which may
contain a number of submenus. Press the βPLUSβ
βMINUSβ βFORWARDβ βBACKβ βUPβ and βDOWNβ
keys to scroll the different menus and to modify pa-
rameters.
