Safety - Overheat Cut-out
For your safety, this appliance is tted with a thermal cut-out. In the
event that the product overheats, the cut-out switches the heater
off automatically. To bring the heater back into operation, remove
the cause of the overheating, then unplug or turn off the electrical
supply to the heater for a few minutes. When the heater has cooled
sufciently, re-connect and switch on the heater.
Fuselink
A thermal fuse link is provided as an added safety feature. If the
fuse link operates and opens circuit it is the result of abnormal
overheating within the appliance and servicing of the appliance by
a competent service engineer will be required in order to ensure
the future safe operation of the heater. Customer services should
be contacted, who will arrange the replacement of any faulty parts
and the tting of a new fuse link.
Cleaning
WARNING: Always disconnect from the power supply before
cleaning the heater.
To ensure continued normal operation of your heater, you must
regularly clean out any accumulation of particles from inside the
heater.
This is best achieved by using your vacuum cleaner in blow mode
to blow air into the heater through the front air outlet to dislodge
any accumulated matter from the back of the element (If it does
not have this function then blowing hard yourself will have the
same result). Then use the vacuum in suction mode to suck out
the now loose particles through the top and bottom air inlets. This
will serve to clean these areas also.
For normal surface cleaning, do not use detergents, abrasive
cleaning agents or polish of any kind on the heater. Wipe with a
dry cloth to remove dust and a damp (not wet) cloth to clean off
stains. Be careful not to allow moisture into the heater.
