1. Safety
â˘î This product must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from
physical or mental impairment. Thisîproduct should not be used by anyone without
sufďŹcient experience or knowledge if they have not been instructed in its use by
someone who will take responsibility for their safety.
â˘î Never let children play with theîproduct.
â˘î Warning! Lead-acid batteries contain corrosive battery acid. Ifîtheîacid comes into
contact with skin or eyes immediately rinse with lots of water and contact your
doctor atîonce.
â˘î Warning! Neverîattempt to charge batteries that cannot be charged!
â˘î Intended for both outdoors and indoors use.
â˘î The charger is intended only for charging lead-acid batteries of theîtype: WET, GEL, AGM
etc. Charging other battery types can damage theîcharger, battery or other property.
â˘î The battery charger is not intended as aîpower-supply for other products.
â˘î Do not attempt to charge dry-cell batteries as they may explode and cause damage.
â˘î Do not use theîcharger if theîmains cable is damaged. Ifîtheîmains cable is
damaged and has to be replaced, to avoid any risk it must either be replaced by
theîmanufacturer, his/her service department or other qualiďŹed personnel.
â˘î Do not operate theîbattery charger if theîcasing is damaged. Toîavoid any risk
repairs should be carried out by qualiďŹed personnel.
â˘î Do not place theîcharger near batteries that are charging. Theîbattery emits aîgas
which can corrode theîcharger. Placeîtheîcharger as far away from theîbattery as
theîcharger cables reach.
â˘î Do not disassemble or modify theîcharger in anyîway.
â˘î Make sure theîcharging clamps do not come in contact with each other when charging.
â˘î First remove theîplug before removing theîcharging clamps from theîbattery.
â˘î Wear protective goggles and turn your face away when connecting theîcharger clamps.
â˘î The battery can emit combustible gases when charging. Thatîis why it is important
to avoid sparks near theîbattery. Makeîsure that theîcharging clamps do not come
into contact with each other. Avoidîsmoking near theîbattery when charging.
â˘î Never cover theîcharger.
â˘î Ensure good ventilation when charging.
â˘î The battery charger may only be used by someone who has read and understood
theîmanual.
â˘î A frozen battery must never be charged. Bringîit indoors and let it defrost ďŹrst.

2. Product description
â˘î Automatic battery charger for 12 V lead batteries.
â˘î Intended for use with lead batteries (WET, GEL, AGM etc.) with aîcapacity of
1.2îAh to 120îAh.
â˘î Protection against spark emissions and short circuiting.
â˘î LED indicates charging status and incorrect connection.
â˘î Protection against damp and dust - IP65.
â˘î Charging at 0.8/4îA.
â˘î Switches automatically to maintenance charging when theîbattery is fully charged.
â˘î Insulated battery clamps with quick-connector pole clamps.
3. Use
Attention!
Read theîvehicleâs manual before commencing charging or loosening aîbattery cable.
Checkîif there are any particular instructions for charging batteries in your vehicle.
1. Alwaysîremove theîpower supply plug from theîwall socket before connecting
theîcharging clamps to theîbattery.
2. Checkîthat theîbattery can be charged before charging commences. Theîcapacity
of theîbattery ought to be between 1.2 Ah and 120 Ah. Cleanîtheîbattery terminals
if necessary. Useîprotective goggles when cleaning.
3. Connect positive (RED) battery clamp to theîbatteryâs positive terminal (+) and
negative (BLACK) battery clamp to theîbatteryâs negative terminal (-).
Note: When charging a battery that is mounted to a vehicle, mount the cables in
the following order:
a.) Connect the chargerâs red plus clamp to the batteryâs positive terminal (+).
b.) Connect the batteryâs negative black clamp somewhere on the vehicleâs chassis.
This area should be a fair distance away from the battery itself and any fuel lines.
c.) Connect the charger to a power point.
4. Connect theîpower supply plug to aîsocket when STANDBY ďŹashes.
5. Pressî[ MODE ] several times to select theîdesired charge setting. Inîthis order:
â˘î STANDBY
â˘î Charge setting 1 <14îAh
â˘î Charge setting 2 >14îAh
â˘î Charge setting 3îCOLD
â˘î STANDBY etc.
6. TheîLED on theîcharger shows theîcharging status.
7. Interrupt charging in theîcorrect way. Doîas follows:
a.) Firstîremove plug from theîsocket.
b.) Thenîremove theîcharger clamp connected to theîminus terminal (-) (or to theîchassis).
c.) Lastlyîremove theîcharger clamp connected to theîplus terminal (+).
8. Once charging is complete, remove the charger clamps from the vehicle in the
following order:
a.) Remove the mains lead from the power point.
b.) Remove the chargerâs black clamp from the chassis.
c.) Remove the chargerâs red plus clamp from the batteryâs positive terminal (+).
