The fabric defuzzer might damage structured
textiles or very soft materials such as Angora
wool. Always test on an area that is not visible
on the item you want to treat. In testing, set the
distance ring to the highest level.
OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
To reduce the risk of electric shock:
1. Always attach plug to appliance first,
then to the outlet.
2. Place the item you want to treat on an
even surface.
3. Turn the distance ring to the appropriate
position or remove the ring entirely, depending
on the distance required.
4. Switch the unit to “I” (ON).
5. Without applying pressure, run the shaver
head lightly over the parts where you wish to
remove the fuzz from. Fuzz will accumulate in
the fuzz collector.
6. After use, switch the unit to “O” (OFF).

EMPTYING THE FUZZ COLLECTOR
Slide the fuzz collector downward and out of
the unit.
Empty the collector and slide it straight into the
unit until you hear a click.
CLEANING THE FABRIC DEFUZZER
AND SHAVER HEAD
1. Unplug unit, remove the distance ring and
turn the shaver head counterclockwise to
remove it.

TO REMOVE: Grasp both sides of the ring and
pull it off the unit in the direction of the arrow.
TO FIT: Push the distance ring onto the unit so
that the recess on the distance ring engages
the lug on the body of the shaver. This ensures
that the distance ring does not twist when you
adjust it.

FOR USE
CARE OF YOUR FABRIC DEFUZZER
IMPORTANT: CHARGING
FIRST-TIME USE
• The fabric defuzzer is easy to use. However,
before first use, you must charge the unit for
16 hours. After the first charge, a full charge
will only take 12 hours. Maximum battery
capacity will only be reached after 3 charging/
discharging cycles.
• Connect the power adapter to the socket on
the underside of the fabric defuzzer.
• Plug the power adapter into an
electrical outlet.
REGULAR CHARGING
• A full charge will take 12 hours and will
supply enough power for a minimum of 25
minutes of continuous, cordless use.
• In order to maintain the optimum capacity
of the rechargeable batteries, the appliance
should be recharged for 16 hours every 3
months, approximately.
FOR DIRECT PLUG-IN OPERATION
1. Connect the charging jack into the receptacle
at the end of the fabric defuzzer.
2. Plug the adapter unit into the electric outlet.
3. Turn the switch to the position, let the OFF
fabric defuzzer charge for a few minutes first.
4. Turn the switch to the ON position.
5. Unplug the adapter unit after use.
6. After use, store in a dry place, away from
small children.
7. Do not wrap cord around the fabric defuzzer.

age and handling. California residents need
only provide proof of purchase and should call
1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping instructions. In
the absence of a purchase receipt, the warranty
period shall be 12 months from the date of
manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT
NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY
OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A

NI-MH BATTERIES
This unit has Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries.
In an effort to protect the environment, these
batteries should be removed and properly dis-
posed of when the unit is no longer operating.
To remove the battery block for disposal or
recovery, follow these instructions:
1. First, unplug the fabric defuzzer. Remove
the screws on the back.
2. Open the fabric defuzzer and remove the
batteries using wire cutters.
3. To protect the environment, do not dispose
of your batteries with your ordinary household
waste. They should be disposed of in
accordance with applicable regulations. They
should be disposed of in a location specifically
designated for that purpose so they can be
recycled safely without posing any risk to the
environment. Do not burn or bury them.
BATTERY REMOVAL
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove
the screws on the right side of the fabric
defuzzer handle.
2. Remove the right handle by hand.
3. Since batteries are exposed, you can
separate the wire connectors. Carefully hold the
wires on each side of the connector and gently
cut the wires. The connector will separate
and the batteries can be removed from the
inner housing.
Bring the batteries to the nearest collection
center for disposal or call the toll-free RBRC
®
information line at 1-800-8-BATTERY. RBRC
is a registered trademark of The Rechargeable
Battery Recycling Corporation. DO NOT throw
the batteries into the normal municipal
waste system.
