1) Work area safety
a) Cluttered and poorly lit areas Keep theîwork area clean and well illuminated.

gases orîdust. Powerîtools generate sparks that can easily ignite dust orîfumes.
c) Keep children and other bystanders away from theîarea where you are using
theîpowerîtool. Distractions can cause you to lose concentration and control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Theîplug of theîpower tool must ïŹt correctly into theîwall socket.
Neverîmodify theîplug in anyîway. Neverîuse anîadaptor plug together with
earthed powerîtools. Theîuse of suitable wall sockets and plugs which have not
been modiïŹed in any way reduce theîrisk of electric shocks.
b) Avoid physical contact with earthed objects, such as pipes, radiators, ovens
or refrigerators. Thereîis anîincreased risk of electrical shock if your body is earthed.
c) Waterîentering Do not expose theîpower tool to rain or other wet conditions.
aîpower tool will increase theîrisk of electricîshock.
d) Do not abuse theîmainsîlead. Neverîuse theîlead to carry/drag theîtool or to jerk
theîplug from aîwall socket. Keepîtheîlead away from heat, oil, sharp edges and
movingîparts. Damaged or tangled leads increase theîrisk of electricîshock.
e) When using aîpower tool outdoors, use anîextension lead that is suitable for
this purpose. Theîuse of anîextension lead designed for outdoor use decreases
theîrisk of electric shocks.
f) If for some reason you must use aîpower tool in aîwet environment, always
connect it to theîmains via anîearth-fault circuit breaker such as anîRCD (residual
current device). Useîof anîRCD signiïŹcantly reduces theîrisk of electricîshock.
