COLUMN TUBE AND CEILING PLATE

CMA-260

The optional CMA-260 column tube and ceiling plate are designed for attachment to the Chief ceiling mounts. The

CMA-260 provides vertical adjustments in ¾” increments when the column tube is telescoped over the ceiling plate

tube and bolted through at the desired height.

WARNING: IMPROPER INSTALLATION MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY!

When mounting Chief Manufacturing accessories, the structural system and mounting method

MUST be capable of supporting 5 times the combined weight of the total installation.

The maximum weight to be installed on the ceiling plate is 500 pounds (226.8 Kg).

Unpack and check contents:

(1) Column Tube (2) ¼ - 20 Nylock Nuts

(1) Ceiling Plate Tube (4) ¼” Flatwashers

(2) ¼ - 20 x 3¼” Bolts (1) 5/32” Hex Wrench

(4) 5/16” – 18 Socket Set Screws

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Securely install ceiling plate to ceiling or joists (see Figure 1). NOTE: SEE WARNING!!

2. Screw column tube firmly into the ceiling mount collar.

3. Slide the column tube over ceiling plate tube to desired height and cross bolt using two ¼” bolts, nuts

and washers provided. Make sure nuts and screws are ﬁrmly tightened.

4. Install four 5/16” – 18 set screws into holes offset from the cross bolt.

5. Follow ceiling mount instructions for installation and adjustment of the projector.
