FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK,
OR INJURY TO PERSONS
IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be
observed, including the following:
1 READ AND FOLLOW ALL
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
and all the important notices on the appliance before using the pump.
Failure to do so may result in damage to this appliance.
2 DANGER – To avoid possible electrical shock, special
care should be taken since water is employed in the use of this product.
For each of the following situations, do not attempt repairs yourself; re-
turn the pump to an authorized service facility for service if it is still under
warranty or discard the appliance.
A If the pump shows any sign of abnormal water leakage, disconnect the
power supply cord and remove pump from water.
B Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should not be
plugged in if there is water on parts not intended to be wet.
C Do not operate the appliance if it has a damaged electrical cord
or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or if it is dropped or damaged in any
manner. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manu-
facturer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a
hazard. Never cut the cord.
D The electrical outlet should always be above the level of the appliance.
If the plug or outlet does get wet, DO NOT unplug the electrical cord.
Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the appli-
ance, then unplug and examine for presence of water in the outlet.
3 This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with signicantly impaired physical or mental capabilities, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should always
be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
4 To avoid injury, do not contact moving or hot parts.
5 CAUTION Always unplug or disconnect the appliance
from the outlet before putting on or taking o parts and while the
equipment is being installed, maintained or handled. When inserting or
removing the pump from the water, pull out the main electrical plug.
Never connect or disconnect the pump plug when there is water in the
reservoir. Never yank the cord to pull the plug from outlet. Grasp the plug
and pull to disconnect. Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when
not in use. Never lift the pump by the cord.
6 CAUTION:
THIS IS A PET DRINKING FOUNTAIN PUMP.
This pump has been evaluated for use with freshwater only. Do not use
this pump for other than its intended use (i.e. don’t use in swimming
pools, bath tubs, etc.). The use of attachments not recommended or sold
by the appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
• Do not use the pump in swimming pools or other situations where
people are immersed.
• This pump is suitable for use in water temperatures up to 35ºC.
• Do not use this pump with inammable liquids.
7 Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to tem-
peratures below freezing. Shelter the pump from direct sunlight.
8 Ensure that the appliance is placed on a at, even surface. Monitor the
appliance regularly. Do not leave appliance unattended for extended peri-
ods. Do not allow the pump to run dry. The pump must be immersed in
water completely. This pump must never operate outside of water.
9 If an extension cord is necessary, ensure the connection is watertight
and dust proof. A cord with a proper rating should be used. A cord rated
for less amperes or watts than the appliance rating may overheat. Care
should be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped over
or pulled.
10 Do not use this unit outdoors. This unit is for indoor use only.
11 WARNING Do not operate the UV-C emitter when it
is removed from the appliance enclosure.
• This appliance contains a UV-C emitter.
• Unintended use of the appliance or damage to the housing may
result in the escape of dangerous UV-C radiation. UV-C radiation
may, even in little doses, cause harm to the eyes and skin.
• Appliances that are obviously damaged must not be operated.
• Replacement of the UV-C emitter by the user is not allowed. The
UV-C emitter is not available as a spare part.

tenance guidelines will ensure the safe and ecient use of this drinking
fountain.
RECYCLING: This product bears the selective sorting symbol
for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). This
means that this product must be handled pursuant to
European Directive 2012/19/EU in order to be recycled or
dismantled to minimize its impact on the environment. Check
with your local Environmental Agency for possible disposal instructions or
take to an ocial council registered refuse collection point. Electronic
products not included in the selective sorting process are potentially
dangerous for the environment and human health due to the presence of
hazardous substances.

ADVERTENCIA : Para evitar lesiones, se deben tomar medidas de seguri-
dad básicas, incluyendo las siguientes:

2 PELIGRO: Para evitar una posible descarga eléctrica, se
deben tomar medidas de seguridad especiales, dado que se emplea agua
en el uso de este producto. En cada una de las siguientes situaciones, no
intente realizar reparaciones usted mismo. Devuelva la bomba a un servi-
cio autorizado si todavía está bajo garantía o deseche el producto.
A Si la bomba muestra algún signo anormal de fuga de agua, desenchufe
el cable del tomacorriente y retire la bomba del agua.
B Examine cuidadosamente el aparato después de la instalación. No
deberá enchufarlo si hay agua en las piezas que no deben mojarse.
C No haga funcionar la bomba si el cable o enchufe están dañados, si no
funciona correctamente o si se ha caído o dañado de alguna manera. Si el
cable está dañado, debe ser reemplazado por el fabricante, sus agentes
de servicio o personas similarmente cualicadas para evitar situaciones
peligrosas. Nunca corte el cable.
D El tomacorriente o enchufe deberá estar siempre a una altura superior
al aparato. Si el enchufe o el tomacorriente se mojan, NO desenchufe
el cable. Desconecte el fusible o el interruptor que provee de energía al
aparato. Luego, desenchufe y observe si hay agua en el tomacorriente.
3 Este aparato no está destinado para ser usado por personas (incluyen-
do niños) con capacidades físicas o mentales signicativamente reducidas,
a menos que una persona responsable de su seguridad les supervise o
instruya sobre el uso del aparato. Los niños siempre deben ser supervisa-
dos para asegurarse de que no jueguen con el aparato.
4 Para evitar lesiones, no toque las piezas movibles o calientes.
5 PRECAUCIÓN: Siempre desenchufe o desconecte

6 PRECAUCIÓN:
ESTA ES UNA BOMBA PARA FUENTES DE AGUA PARA MASCOTAS.
Esta bomba ha sido evaluada para uso con agua dulce únicamente. No
emplee la bomba para una función para la que no ha sido destinada
(por ejemplo, no use en piscinas, bañeras, etc.). El uso de accesorios no
recomendados o no vendidos por el fabricante del aparato puede crear
situaciones peligrosas.
• No use la bomba en piscinas u otros lugares donde se sumerjan
personas.
• Esta bomba es apta para agua con temperaturas hasta de 35°C.
• No use esta bomba con líquidos inamables.
7 No instale o guarde el aparato en un lugar donde esté expuesto a
temperaturas bajo cero. Protéjalo de la exposición directa al sol.
8 Asegúrese de que el aparato esté colocado en una supercie plana y
uniforme. Contrólelo regularmente. No lo deje sin supervisión por largos
periodos de tiempo. No permita que la bomba funcione en seco. La
bomba debe estar sumergida completamente en agua en todo momento.
La bomba nunca deberá funcionar fuera del agua.
9 Si necesitara una extensión, asegúrese de que la conexión sea herméti-
ca y a prueba de polvo. Se deberá usar un cable con calibre apropiado.
Un cable para un amperaje o voltaje inferior al de la bomba puede
sobrecalentarse. Se debe tener cuidado al colocar el cable de tal manera
que nadie pueda tropezar con él ni tirar del mismo.
10 No utilice esta bomba en exteriores. Es para uso en
interiores únicamente.
11 ADVERTENCIA : No haga funcionar el emi-
sor de UV-C cuando esté fuera del depósito de agua de la fuente.
• Este aparato contiene un emisor de UV-C.
