BY-ALARM PLUS

Ripetitore By-alarm Plus, collegamento in radiofrequenza 868 MHz, alimen-

tazione 12 Vdc, estende l'area di copertura radio senza la necessità di un

collegamento cablato alla centrale, 2 antenne per polarizzazione orizzontale e

verticale in antenna-diversity, 4 batterie alcaline 1.5V AA incluse, contenitore

plastico.

Il ripetitore migliora la portata del segnale radio in impianti di allarme dove i dispositivi radiofre-

quenza sono installati su lunghe distanze o seprati da muri e pareti. E' provvisto di 4 batterie

alcaline che fungono da batteria tampone e non necessità di alcun collegamento con la centrale.

I ripetitori possono essere "connessi" in cascata tra loro.

SEGNALAZIONI DEI LED

Contentore plastico chiuso (microswitch B chiuso).

I LED 1 e 2 sono sempre spenti.

Contentore plastico aperto (microswitch B aperto).

• Il LED 1 lampeggia per indicare che il dispositivo è alimentato e sta funzionando correttamente.

• Se il ripetitore è collegato al ricevitore il LED 2 lampeggia ogni 4 secondi. Lampeggia inoltre alla

ricezione della risposta da parte del ricevitore.

Nei primi 3 minuti dopo la connessione al ricevitore, il LED 2 lampeggia 2, 3 o 4 volte alla

ricezione dei dati in base alla qualità del collegamento radio con il ricevitore (4 volte = qualità

alta; 3 = media; 2 = bassa).

INSTALLAZIONE

Per un corretto funzionamento dei dispositivi radio, posizionare il ripetitore nella portata radio di

un ricevitore e/o ripetitore radio e il più possibile in posizione centrale rispetto alla collocazione

dei sensori e all'area di utilizzo dei telecomandi da gestire.

E’ consigliabile che tutti i componenti via radio siano installati in alto, per permettere una migliore

copertura e minimizzare l’accidentale mascheramento dovuto ad oggetti o persone.

1. Scegliere la posizione più idonea all’installazione.

2. Aprire il coperchio del contenitore svitando la vite di bloccaggio per accedere alla scheda.

3. Mantenere la base sul punto di fissaggio e marcare i punti di fissaggio della base e della

linguetta antistrappo sfruttando le ampolle di livellamento.

4. Far passare i cavi attraverso i rispettivi fori e collegare l’alimentazione al ripetitore.

5. Togliere la linguetta isolante per consentire il collegamento delle 4 batterie alla scheda.

5. Fissare la base e la linguetta antistrappo con le viti di ancoraggio.

6. Effettuare la procedura di acquisizione del ripetitore.

7. Chiudere il coperchio frontale sulla base ed inserire la vite di bloccaggio.

N.B. Per attivare il dispositivo è necessario fornire l’alimentazione ai suoi morsetti; i ripetitori infatti

non iniziano a funzionare se alimentati con le sole batterie.

CONFIGURAZIONE

Per tutti i dettagli si vedano i manuali di installazione del sistema By-Alarm Plus e del software

By-alarm Plus Manager.

REGOLE DI INSTALLAZIONE

L’installazione e la configurazione devono essere effettuate da personale qualificato con l’osser-

vanza delle disposizioni regolanti l’installazione del materiale elettrico in vigore nel paese dove i

prodotti sono installati.

Si sconsiglia il montaggio su superfici ferromagnetiche, e nelle vicinanze di forti campi magnetici

ed elettrici, in quanto questi potrebbero provocare il malfunzionamento del dispositivo.

A batterie tampone esaurite si consiglia di sostituirle tutte e 4 con batterie nuove.

By-alarm Plus repeater, 868 MHz radio frequency connection, 12 Vdc power

supply, extends the radio coverage area without the need for a wired connec-

tion to the control unit, 2 antennas for horizontal and vertical polarization with

antenna-diversity, 4 AA 1.5V alkaline batteries included, plastic enclosure.

The repeater improves the radio signal range in alarm system in which radio frequency devices are

installed far apart or separated by interior and exterior walls. It has 4 alkaline batteries that serve

as buffer batteries, and does not need to be connected to the control unit.

Repeaters can be connected together in cascade.

LED INDICATIONS

Plastic enclosure closed (microswitch B closed).

LEDs 1 and 2 are always off.

Plastic enclosure open (microswitch B open).

• LED 1 flashes to indicate that the device is operating correctly.

• LED 2 flashes every 4 seconds if the repeater is connected to the receiver. It also flashes on

receiving a response from the receiver.

During the first 3 minutes after connecting to the receiver, LED 2 flashes 2, 3 or 4 times on

receiving data, depending on the quality of the radio connection with the receiver (4 times =

high quality; 3 = medium; 2 = low).

INSTALLATION

To ensure that the radio devices operate correctly, position the repeater within the radio range of

a radio receiver and/or repeater, and in a location as central as possible relative to the sensors

and the area in which the applicable remote controls will be used.

We recommend installing all radio components high up to allow the best coverage and minimise

accidental masking by objects and people.

1. Choose the most suitable location for installation.

2. Undo the fixing screws and open the enclosure cover to access the board.

3. Hold the base where it will be fastened, use the spirit levels and mark the fixing points for the

base and anti-removal tab.

4. Route the cables through the corresponding holes and connect the power supply to the

repeater.

5. Remove the insulating tab to connect the 4 batteries to the board.

5. Fasten the base and anti-removal tab with the fixing screws.

6. Perform the repeater acquisition procedure.

7. Close the front cover on the base and insert the fixing screw.

N.B. To activate the device, apply power to its terminals; repeaters do not start operating when

INSTALLATION RULES

Installation and configuration must be carried out by qualified personnel in compliance with the

current regulations regarding the installation of electrical equipment in the country where the

products are installed.

We advise against installation on ferromagnetic surfaces or near strong magnetic and electric

fields as they may cause the device to malfunction.

When the buffer battery is flat, we recommend replacing all 4 batteries with new ones.
