HOW TO START YOUR WATCH
Quartz Movement: To start your watch remove the plastic guard from under
the crown, then press the crown in against the case… The second hand will
begin advancing in one-second intervals…
Some deep-depth water-resistant watches require the setting crown to be
screwed in to secure water-resistance… If your watch case has a protrusion
with screw threads, the crown must be screwed in after setting the watch…
To screw in, push the crown rmly against the threaded protrusion and hold
in while turning the crown clockwise… Continue to screw in the crown until it is
tight… You will need to unscrew the crown (counter-clockwise) before pulling
it out the next time you want to set your watch…
Solar Movement: The watch includes a solar cell that charges its battery…
Expose the watch in direct sunlight, sunlight through a window, or articial
(indoor) lighting to charge the battery prior to use… When fully charged, the
watch may function without additional charging for up to 2 months…
To start your watch, remove the plastic guard from under the crown, then
press the crown in against the case… The second hand will begin advancing
in one-second intervals…
Charging happens faster while in direct sunlight and slower when indoors… A
depleted battery may be charged by exposing the dial to sunlight for several
days… Wear watch so that the sleeve does not cover all or part of the dial
and impede charging… Store watch where it will be exposed to light or the
battery will run down and require a full charge… See the table below for more
information…
WARNING: Leaving the watch in direct sunlight or close to a lamp may
cause the watch to become hot… Handle with care…
After many years of use, if the battery becomes unable to charge fully, it may
be replaced with a new rechargeable battery of the same type… Please see
BATTERY section for details…

Hand-wind Movement: To start your watch remove the plastic guard from
under the crown, set the Time and Date (if applies) then press the crown in
against the case… Slowly turn the crown clock-wise until you feel resistance…
You should hear the watch “ticking” and the second hand will begin to move…
If the watch stops in the next 24 hours, you should increase the amount of
clock-wise turns of the crown during the winding process until you nd the
watch will work for 24 hours without stopping… You should wind the watch
each 24-hour period at approximately the same time of day to ensure the
watch does not become fully un-wound and stops… If the watch stops, follow
the instructions to set the Time and Date (if applies), and wind to start the
watch again…

1… PULL crown all the way out and turn to correct time…
2… Push crown in to restart… For screw-in setting crown, push crown in while
turning CLOCKWISE to tighten…
Watches with date: Note correct time of day (A…M or P…M…) for proper date
function…
TO SET DAY:
1… PULL crown to “middle” position and turn CLOCKWISE until correct day
appears… If day does not change, pull crown to “out” position and turn
CLOCKWISE or COUNTERCLOCKWISE through necessary number of
24 hour periods until correct day appears…

Repeat until correct date appears… Adjust date when month has less than
31 days. Push crown in when nished.
Caution: Wearing or storing the watch with the crown in the “middle”
position will cause damage to the movement… Always return the crown to the
normal position, or if you wish to save the battery life while storing the watch,
leave the crown in the “out” position…

The date function advances the date between the hours of 10 PM and 2
AM… Avoid setting the date during this timeframe… If you attempt to set the
date during this time period, rotate the crown at a very slow rate to avoid
damaging the watch…

1… Your easy set alarm watch is equipped with two types of alarms:
2… 12-Hour Alarm: rings OR vibrates twice per day at the desired hour and
minute as long as the alarm is activated… (Alarm crown must be in “E”
position…)
3… Hourly Alarm: rings OR vibrates every hour at the desired minute if
activated… (Alarm crown must be in “F” position…)
TO SET THE 12-HOUR ALARM:
1… With the ALARM CROWN in the “D” position, TURN the ALARM CROWN
or TURNING RING in either direction to set the hour and minute alarm
markers… To activate the alarm to ring or vibrate at the desired time, PULL
the ALARM CROWN out to the “E” position… A single beep sound and
ash, OR a vibration will indicate that the 12-Hour Alarm is activated.
2. The alarm will sound and the dial will ash OR vibrate at the desired time
(hour and minute) and will repeat every twelve hours unless the alarm is
deactivated…
NOTE: Alarm is deactivated when the ALARM CROWN is in the “D” position…
If the alarm is not deactivated it will automatically stop ringing after 20 beeps
and ashes OR stop vibrating, and will resume in 12 hours at the indicated
time…
TO SET THE HOURLY ALARM:
1… With the ALARM CROWN in the “D” position, TURN the ALARM CROWN
or TURNING RING in either direction to set the minute alarm marker…
2… To activate the alarm to ring or vibrate at the desired minute, PULL the
ALARM CROWN out to the “F” position. Three beeps sound and ash OR
a vibration indicates the Hourly Alarm is activated…
3. The alarm will sound and the dial will ash OR vibrate at the desired
minute and will repeat every hour on the specied minute unless the
alarm is deactivated…
NOTE: Alarm is deactivated when the ALARM CROWN is in the “D” position…
If the alarm is not deactivated it will automatically stop ringing after 20 beeps
and ashes OR stop vibrating, and will resume again in one hour at the
indicated minute…
PERPETUAL CALENDAR
Your Perpetual Calendar watch accurately keeps track of how many days
are in each month… It also adjusts for leap years… The date on your watch
(including the month and year) was preset at the factory to Eastern Standard
Time, Greenwich Mean Time or Hong Kong Standard Time (depending on
where you purchased your watch)… You only need to adjust the time…

To set time, simply pull crown all the way out and turn… Day and date change
automatically when time is adjusted past midnight; there is no additional step
for setting day or date… Push crown in when done…
After setting, if date changes at noon, time needs to be adjusted ahead or
back 12 hours…
If crown is accidentally put in MIDDLE position and turned, date display will
change temporarily, but date setting is unaffected… Simply pull crown all the
way out and set time… Proper date display will resume…

ELAPSED TIME RING
If your watch is equipped with a rotatable outer ring on the face, with
numbers corresponding to minutes, you can use this Elapsed Time Ring to
time an activity from the start, or to mark the ending time for the duration of
an activity…
TO TIME AN ACTIVITY FROM THE START:
Set the Start/Stop triangle at the time (hour or minute) when you start the
activity (As shown on the left in the illustration shown below)… At completion,
you can see how long the activity took…
TO MEASURE THE TIME REMAINING:
Set the triangle to the hour or minute position when you wish to complete the
activity, and check the watch periodically for progress towards that goal…
In the illustration shown on the previous page on the right you can stop when
the minute hand reaches the 20 minutes past the hour position…
TACHYMETER RING
The tachymeter feature can be used to measure speed in miles per hour
(MPH), nautical miles per hour (knots) or kilometers per hour (KPH) using the
sweep second hand and the scale on the wall above the watch face… You
need to know the actual distance you are covering in miles or km…
Start the chronograph with the second hand at zero (the twelve o’clock
position). Within the rst minute, the second hand will point to the rate for a
one-mile (or one kilometer) course: if it takes 45 seconds, the hand will point
to 80 at that position – 80 MPH or 80 KPH…
If within the rst minute, a distance greater than one mile or kilometer is
covered, multiply the tachymeter number by the distance to get the actual
rate: if you went 1…2 miles in 45 seconds, multiply the 80 by 1…2 – 96 MPH…
COMPASS RING
If your watch is equipped with a movable ring around the dial marked at
the letters “N”, “E”, “W”, “S” (for the four compass directions) or compass
degrees, you can use this feature to nd an approximate compass
directional reading…
1. Lay the watch on a at surface, or hold it so that the face is parallel to the
ground…
2… Locate the sun and point the hour hand at the sun…
3… In the A…M…, rotate the ring until the “S” (south) marker is halfway between
the hour hand and 12:00 (after the hour hand or within the shortest
distance between the hour hand and 12:00)…
4… In the P…M…, rotate the ring until “S” is before the hour hand and halfway
between the hour hand and 12:00…

RE-ASSEMBLY:

COMO INICIALIZAR TU RELOJ
Movimiento de cuarzo: para inicializar tu reloj retira el protector de plástico
de debajo de la corona y luego pulsa la corona contra la caja. El segundero
comenzará a avanzar a intervalos de un segundo.
Algunos relojes resistentes al agua a grandes profundidades necesitan que
la corona de ajuste se enrosque para asegurar la resistencia al agua. Si la
caja de tu reloj tiene una protuberancia roscada, la corona debe enroscarse
después de ajustar el reloj.
Para enroscarla, empuja la corona con rmeza contra la protuberancia
roscada y mantén la presión mientras giras la corona en sentido horario.
Continúa enroscando la corona hasta que esté rme. Necesitarás
desenroscar la corona (en sentido antihorario) antes de tirarla hacia fuera
la próxima vez que quieras ajustar tu reloj.
Mecanismo solar: el reloj incluye una célula solar que carga su pila. Expón
el reloj a la luz directa del sol, a la luz del sol a través de una ventana o
a luz articial (interior) para cargar la pila antes de usarla. Cuando está
completamente cargado, el reloj puede funcionar sin carga adicional
durante un máximo de 2 meses.
Para poner en marcha tu reloj, retira el protector de plástico de debajo
de la corona y empuja la corona contra la caja. El segundero comenzará
a avanzar a intervalos de un segundo.
La carga se produce de manera más rápida bajo la luz directa del sol
y de manera más lenta en interiores. Una pila agotada puede cargarse
exponiendo la esfera a la luz del sol durante varios días. Usa el reloj de
modo que la manga no cubra la totalidad o parte de la esfera e impida la
carga. Guarda el reloj en un lugar donde esté expuesto a la luz o la pila se
descargará y requerirá una carga completa. Consulta la tabla siguiente para
obtener más información.
ADVERTENCIA: dejar el reloj a la luz directa del sol o cerca de una
lámpara puede hacer que se caliente. Manéjalo con cuidado.
Después de muchos años de uso, si la pila deja de poder cargarse al
máximo, se podrá sustituir únicamente por una pila recargable del mismo

Movimiento de cuerda: para iniciar tu reloj retira el protector de plástico
de debajo de la corona, ajusta la Hora y la Fecha (si corresponde) y luego
pulsa la corona contra la caja. Gira lentamente la corona en el sentido de
las agujas del reloj hasta notar resistencia. Deberías escuchar el sonido de
tic-tac del reloj y el segundero empezará a moverse. Si el reloj se para
en las próximas 24 horas, deberías aumentar la cantidad de vueltas de la
corona en el sentido de las agujas del reloj al dar cuerda hasta notar que
el reloj funcione durante 24 horas sin pararse. Dale cuerda al reloj cada
24 horas aproximadamente a la misma hora del día para asegurarte de
que el reloj no se queda sin cuerda y se para. Si el reloj se para, sigue las
instrucciones para ajustar la Hora y la Fecha (si corresponde) y da cuerda
para iniciar el reloj de nuevo.

3. Enjuaga el reloj con agua dulce después de haber estado expuesto al
agua salada.
4. La resistencia a los golpes estará indicada en la esfera del reloj o en
la parte posterior de la caja. Los relojes están diseñados para pasar
la prueba ISO de resistencia a los golpes. Sin embargo, se debe tener
cuidado para evitar dañar el cristal o la lente.
Luz nocturna INDIGLO®
Pulsa el botón o la corona para activar la luz. La tecnología
electroluminiscente utilizada en la luz nocturna INDIGLO
® ilumina toda
la esfera del reloj por la noche y en condiciones de poca luz.
MODELOS CON FECHA
PARA FIJAR LA HORA:
1. TIRA de la corona completamente hacia fuera y gira para corregir la hora.
2. Reinserta la corona para reiniciar. Para coronas de ajuste atornillado,
pulsa la corona mientras giras en sentido HORARIO para apretar.
Relojes con fecha: para ver la fecha correcta, elige “A.M.” o “P.M.” según
corresponda al momento.
PARA FIJAR EL DÍA:
1. TIRA de la corona hasta el punto “medio” y gírala en sentido HORARIO
hasta que aparezca el día correcto. Si el día no cambia, tira de la corona
hasta la posición “afuera” y gira en sentido HORARIO o ANTIHORARIO
el número necesario de períodos de 24 horas hasta que aparezca el día
correcto.

PARA AJUSTAR LA FUNCIÓN “QUICKDATE®”:
CORONA DE 3 POSICIONES:
1. Tira de la corona hasta el punto “medio” y gírala en sentido HORARIO
o ANTIHORARIO hasta que aparezca la fecha correcta.
CORONA DE 2 POSICIONES:
1. Tira de la corona hasta la posición “AFUERA” y gírala en sentido
HORARIO hasta que cambie la fecha. Repite hasta que aparezca la
fecha correcta. Ajusta la fecha cuando el mes tenga menos de 31 días.
Pulsa la corona hacia dentro cuando termines.
Precaución: usar o guardar el reloj con la corona en la posición del “medio”
puede afectar al movimiento. Devuelve siempre la corona a la posición
normal o, si deseas ahorrar la duración de la pila mientras el reloj está
guardado, deja la corona en la posición “afuera”.
La función de fecha avanza la fecha entre las 10 PM y las 2 AM. Evita
programar la fecha durante este período de tiempo. Si intentas hacerlo
durante dicho período, gira la corona muy despacio para evitar que se dañe
el reloj.
MODELOS CON DÍA/FECHA
PARA FIJAR LA HORA:
1. TIRA de la corona hacia fuera hasta la posición “C”.
2. GIRA la corona en cualquiera de los dos sentidos para corregir la hora.
3. PULSA la corona hasta la posición “A”.
PARA FIJAR LA FECHA:
1. TIRA de la corona hacia fuera hasta la posición “B”.
2. GIRA la corona en cualquiera de los dos sentidos para corregir la fecha.
3. PULSA la corona hasta la posición “A”.
PARA FIJAR EL DÍA:
1. TIRA de la corona hacia fuera hasta la posición “C”.
2. GIRA la corona en cualquier sentido por un periodo de 24 horas
completo para jar el día.
3. PULSA la corona hasta la posición “A”.
PARA AJUSTAR LA FECHA BILINGÜE:
Si tu reloj dispone de una pantalla de fecha bilingüe, puedes seleccionar
el idioma deseado haciendo avanzar la pantalla del día.
1. TIRA de la corona hacia fuera hasta la posición “C”.
2. Mueve repetidamente la hora, hacia atrás hasta las 11 de la noche
y adelante hasta las 4 de la madrugada, hasta que se muestre
el día actual en el idioma deseado.
3. EMPUJA la corona hasta la posición “A”.

ALARMA FÁCIL DE AJUSTAR CON FECHA Y LUZ NOCTURNA INDIGLO

1. En la posición “A”, PULSA la CORONA HORARIA (hacia la caja del reloj)
para activar la luz nocturna INDIGLO
® e iluminar la esfera del reloj.
AJUSTES DE LA FECHA Y HORA DE LA ALARMA
PARA FIJAR LA FECHA:
1. Con la CORONA HORARIA en la posición “B”, GIRA la CORONA
HORARIA o el ANILLO GIRATORIO en cualquier dirección para jar
la fecha.
PARA FIJAR LA HORA:
1. Con la CORONA HORARIA en la posición “C”, GIRA la CORONA
HORARIA o el ANILLO GIRATORIO en cualquier dirección para jar
la hora.
AJUSTE DE LA ALARMA
1. Tu reloj con alarma de ajuste fácil está equipado con dos tipos
de alarma:
2. Alarma de 12 horas: suena O vibra dos veces por día a la hora y los
minutos deseados mientras la alarma esté activada. (La corona de la
alarma debe estar en la posición “E”).
3. Alarma a cada hora: suena O vibra cada hora a los minutos deseados si
está activada. (La corona de la alarma debe estar en la posición “F”).
PARA FIJAR LA ALARMA DE 12 HORAS:
1. Con la CORONA DE LA ALARMA en la posición “D”, GIRA la CORONA
DE LA ALARMA o el ANILLO GIRATORIO en cualquier dirección para
ajustar los marcadores de hora y minutos de la alarma. Para activar que
la alarma suene o vibre en a la hora deseada, TIRA de la CORONA DE
LA ALARMA hasta la posición “E”. Un pitido y un destello O una vibración
indicarán que la alarma de 12 horas está activada.
2. La alarma sonará y la esfera lanzará un destello O vibrará a la hora
deseada (hora y minutos) y se repetirá cada doce horas, a menos que
la alarma se desactive.
NOTA: la alarma se desactiva cuando la CORONA DE LA ALARMA está en
la posición “D”.
Si la alarma no se desactiva, dejará de sonar automáticamente después de
20 pitidos y destellos O dejará de vibrar, y volverá a comenzar en 12 horas,
a la hora indicada.
PARA FIJAR LA ALARMA A CADA HORA:
1. Con la CORONA DE LA ALARMA en la posición “D”, GIRA la CORONA
DE LA ALARMA o el ANILLO GIRATORIO en cualquier dirección para
ajustar el marcador de minutos de la alarma.
2. Para activar que la alarma suene o vibre a los minutos deseados,
TIRA de la CORONA DE LA ALARMA hasta la posición “F”. Tres pitidos
y destellos O una vibración indicarán que la alarma de cada hora está
activada.
3. La alarma sonará y la esfera lanzará un destello O vibrará al minuto
deseado y se repetirá cada hora a los minutos especicados a menos
que se desactive la alarma.
NOTA: la alarma se desactiva cuando la CORONA DE LA ALARMA está en
la posición “D”.
Si la alarma no se desactiva, dejará de sonar automáticamente después
de 20 pitidos y destellos O dejará de vibrar, y volverá a comenzar una hora
después en el minuto indicado.
CALENDARIO PERPETUO
Tu reloj con calendario perpetuo registra exactamente cuántos días hay
cada mes. También se ajusta a los años bisiestos. La fecha en tu reloj
(incluyendo mes y año) fue programada en fábrica con la Hora Estándar del
Este, la Hora de Greenwich o la Hora Estándar de Hong Kong (dependiendo
de donde compraste el reloj). Solo necesita ajustarse la hora.

Para jar la hora, simplemente tira de la corona totalmente hacia fuera y
gírala. El día y la fecha cambian automáticamente cuando la hora se ajusta
después de medianoche; no se necesita un ajuste adicional para día o
fecha. Pulsa la corona hacia dentro cuando termines.
