Introduction

Thank you for purchasing a StarTech.com HD/VGA

with Audio to HDMI Format Converter. This product

allows you to transfer audio and video to output on

one HDMI cable, converting your analog signal to

digital without having to pay for costly upgrades.

Before You Begin

System Requirements

• A VGA/YPbPr source (NOTE: when using

YPbPr source, a VGA to 3 RCA adapter is

required)

• An HDMI cable

• A display with at least 1 HDMI input

Basic Setup

Connecting the video source to the converter

Connect the VGA/YPbPr output cable from the signal

source to the located on the con-PC/YPbPr INPUT

verter. Using the Input format switch located to the left

of the input, select the appropriate type of source sig-

nal (HD/YPbPr or PC/RGBHV). Note: An RCA 3 to

VGA adapter may be required to make this connec-

tion.

Connecting the audio source to the converter

Connect the audio source to the red and white

sockets labelled on the back of theAUDIO INPUT

converter.

Connecting the converter to the display

Using a standard HDMI cable (see accessories), con-

nect the converter to your video display.

Powering the converter

Connect the tip on the power adapter (provided) to

the port marked on the video converter.DC/5V

Connect the opposite end to a wall outlet or other

suitable power source.

The red light located above the power input will illumi-

nate, indicating that your HD/VGA to HDMI converter

is functioning.
