Two-Channel Microphone Preampli๎˜œer with
๎˜Ÿ๎˜ž๎˜V Technology
The Crescendo๎˜š features a fully balanced signal flow. The input stage uses duo
๎˜Ÿ๎˜ pairs of matched PNP Transistors (Di๎˜™erential Input Transistors) for extremely
low noise and a very high common mode rejection.
Both input stages have six ๎˜˜th generation ๎˜Ÿ๎˜ž๎˜V SPL SUPRA Operation Ampli๎˜œers
each.
The transformerless design of the input/output stages guarantees highly linear
amplifying.
The output stages operate as current ampli๎˜œers and therefore provide Class-A
operation with more than 6mA quiescent current.
Start up
Read the security advices on page ๎˜—.
Make sure that the selected mains voltage of the Crescendo๎˜š is according to duo
the mains voltage of your region.
Make sure that the mains switch on the rear of the Crescendo๎˜š duo is set to O๎˜™
(O๎˜™ = O / ON = I).
Connect the supplied power cord to the Crescendo๎˜š and an appropriate duo
mains socket outlet.
If the supplied power cord does not match your mains socket outlet, please contact your dealer.
Please connect the outputs of the Crescendo๎˜š to the inputs of your audio duo
interface or mixing console.
Connect your microphones to the inputs ๎˜Ÿ and ๎˜ž of the Crescendo๎˜š with duo
high-quality microphone cables.
Microphone cables not included in the scope of delivery.
Switch on mains on the rear of the Crescendo๎˜š (On = I).duo
The VU meter light up.

The phantom power required for condenser microphones can be activated with
the ๎˜–๎˜’V switch.
If phantom power is on, the ๎˜–๎˜’V LED lights up blue.
IMPORTANT:
Use phantom power only for condenser microphones. For all other microphone types โ€“ especially
ribbon micorphones โ€“ switch o๎˜™ the phantom power!
Use the Mic Gain switch to adjust the preampli๎˜œcation gain in ๎˜ž ๎˜•dB steps.to
The Output Gain controls the output level from -๎˜Ÿ๎˜ ๎˜Ÿ๎˜ to + dB.
With the OUTPUT switch the signal can be completely switched o๎˜™.
The polarity of a microphone signal can be inversed (๎˜Ÿ๎˜’๎˜ยฐ) with the Polarity
Inversal switch.
The High Pass switch activates a high pass ๎˜œlter with ๎˜›dB per ocatve at ๎˜Ÿ๎˜ž๎˜ Hz.
If the input signal is too hot, switch on PAD. This reduces the level by ๎˜ž๎˜dB.
You can make the VU Meters less sensitive by activating the VU๎˜š-๎˜Ÿ๎˜dB switch.
Power down
Switch o๎˜™ mains on the back of the Crescendo๎˜š (O๎˜™ = O).duo
The VU Meter no longer light up.
