1. Safety Warnings
Please read the instructions and warnings before using the product for the
î‚¿rst time.
• This device is designed for household use only.
The device is not designed for use in the following cases, which are not
covered by the warranty:
- In kitchen areas reserved for staff in shops, ofî‚¿ces and other workplaces.
- On farms.
- By clients in hotels, motels and other residential environments.
- In rural tourism accommodation.
• Never plug in the device when not in use.
• This product was not designed to be used by anyone (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities, or by people without
adequate experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by
someone responsible for their safety or are given instructions on how to
use the device.
• The temperature of accessible surfaces may increase when the device
is in use.
• Remove all packaging, stickers and accessories from inside and outside
the device.
• Unscrew the cable completely.
• When using the device in the centre of a table, ensure that it is out of
reach of children.
• To ensure that the device does not overheat, do not place it in a corner
or against a wall.
• This device is not designed for use with an external timer or a separate
remote control system.
• Never place the device directly on a fragile surface (glass table, tablecloth,
varnished furniture, etc.) or on a soft surface (plastic tablecloth, etc.).
• If an extension cable is used, it must be of sufcient current-carrying ca-
pacity and include an earth wire.
• The device should only be connected to a grounded socket.
• Pay attention to the location of the cable, with or without extension: take all
necessary precautions to avoid disturbing the movement of diners around
the table to ensure that no one trips on the cable.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
authorized technical support or a qualiî‚¿ed person in order to avoid danger.
• Check that the mains voltage matches the voltage indicated on the device.
• Never place aluminium foil or any other object between the plate or the
griddle and the food to be cooked.
• Do not touch the oil-collecting tray when the device is hot. If the oil-collect-
ing tray becomes full during cooking, allow the device to cool down before
emptying it.
• Do not immerse the control box or the cable in water.
• The detachable cable must be removed before the device is cleaned and
the connector must be completely dry before the device is used again.
• This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities, or by people without experi-
ence or knowledge, as long as they are supervised or have been given
instructions on how to use the device safely, and they understand the risks
involved. Children should not be allowed to play with the device. Children
should not be responsible for cleaning or maintaining the device, unless
they are over the age of 8 and supervised by an adult.
• Keep the device and power cable out of the reach of children under the
age of 8.
• Use non-metal utensils to avoid scratching the surface.
• Use Savormatic® Grill on a dry surface.
• Do not touch hot surfaces without oven gloves.
• Unplug the Savormatic® Grill when it is not in use and before cleaning it.
Turn it off before unplugging it.
• Do not unplug Savormatic® Grill with wet hands.
WARNING: Hold the device only by the handles and use oven gloves or
similar heat-protection items. Let the device cool down before touching its
other surfaces.

3. Instructions for Use
1. Connect the thermo-
stat to the plate in posi-
tion 0.
2. Plug the device into the
mains.
3. Pull the tray (E) out
slightly to catch any oil
that drips.
4. Preheat the device for
around 5 minutes in posi-
tion 5.
* When using the device
for the î‚¿rst time, it may
emit a slight odour and
some smoke for the î‚¿rst few minutes.
5. Turn the thermostat dial to the desired position.

6. When the food is ready, turn the thermostat dial to position 0.
7. Unplug the device from the mains.
8. Allow the plate to cool down.
9. Extend the folding leg underneath the device so that the oil drips into the
tray. In order to do so, lift the plate by the handle. When you have î‚¿nished,
fold the leg again.
10. Remove the oil tray and clean it. It is dishwasher safe.
4. Cleaning and Maintenance
Savormatic® Grill can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Before cleaning, make
sure the device is unplugged and is not hot.
Clean the plate with soap and water. Do not use aggressive cleaners that
may damage the surface.
IMPORTANT: Never pour water directly on Savormatic® Grill. Never im-
merse it in water. It is not dishwasher safe. Do not place it on a fragile
surface.

Quality Warranty
This product is covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects sub-
ject to the time periods stipulated by the legislation in force in each country.
This warranty does not cover damages resulting from inadequate use,
negligent commercial use, abnormal wear and tear, accidents or im-
proper handling.
Australia & New Zealand only
This product has the beneî‚¿t of certain Consumer Guarantees. These
are prescribed by the Australian Consumer Law & the New Zealand
Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 both of which provide protection for
consumers. There is no express warranty for this product in Australia or
New Zealand. The above paragraph refers to other countries.
