Components of the camping stove BG 2010
The device consists of 1 upper part of the camping stove (also upper
part), 2 butane cartridges of 190 g (No. 52150), 1 lower part of the
camping stove ๎š– cartridge holder (also lower part), and 1 set of Instructions
for Use. Please check the completeness of the article.
Intended use
Camping Stove with Gas Cartridge BG 2010 is intended for private use
(e.g. cooking tee, warming up tinned food, etc.) and can be operated
only outside
Important:
Please read these instructions for use carefully before you attach the
gas cartridge to get acquainted with the device first. Keep the leaflet
for further reference.
It is not allowed to change settings or make modifications from those
set by the manufacturer. It could be dangerous to change the structure
of the device on your own authority, to remove parts or to use parts
which are not approved by the manufacturer.
Use solely butane gas cartridges of the type 200, picture 1, according
to EN 417 (190 g), which are commercially available, which are
recommended for this device and which correspond with the European
Norm EN 417 (as e.g. butane cartridges provided ๎š– CFH No. 52150).
Butane gas cartridges of 190 g you use must have an inscription EN
417. These standard gas cartridges are available in building stores. This
device may be only used with a pressure gas cartridge (cartridge with
a piercing point connection ๎š– CFH No. 52150). It could be dangerous
to connect other gas receptacles.
Never fit a gas receptacle (butane cartridge of 190 g) before reading the
instructions on it.
Use only outside.
Security instructions and warnings
Do not unscrew the lower part of the cartridge holder, until the butane
cartridge is completely empty (shake it a little if splashing of liquid is
audible). Otherwise there is imminent danger of gas escaping which
could ignate next to a heat source and thus cause a really dangerous
situation . Make sure before attaching the gas(danger of explosion)
cartridge that the gasket (between the device and the gas cartridge) is
not missing and is in good condition (see drawing above ๎š– picture 5).
The rubber gasket is easily visible if you hold the upper part of the
camping stove as shown on picture 5. It is necessary that there is a
black rubber gasket inside on the piercing pin and that it is in a good
condition. If this gasket is missing do not use the device (danger of
leakage). Do not use any device with damaged or worn out gasket. Do
not use any device which is leaking or damaged or which does not work
properly.
Only fit the gas cartridge when outside, where there are no flammable
materials or combustible sources in the neighbourhood, no electric stoves
or open fire, and in a sufficient distance from other persons. Do not
smoke when fitting the cartridge. Do not change the butane cartridges
if you are not absolutely sure that the cartridges are completely empty.
Follow safety instructions stated on the butane cartridge. Keep the device
away from children. Children are not allowed to use the device (danger
of injury). Do not shake the device immediately before starting up, in
order that the liquid gas cannot flow to the burner and cause problems
with lighting. Use the camping stove only on a horizontal level.
Only change the cartridge when outside, far away from possible
combustible sources, as e.g. open fire, pilot flames, electrical hot plates
and similar, and away from other persons and animals. Before changing
the butane cartridge always close the gas regulation valve.
Used butane gas cartridges are one-way receptacles. Refilling is not
permitted and could be very dangerous.
Protect the butane cartridge and the device from direct exposure to sun
light (impact of heat). Do not expose it to temperatures over 50ยฐC.
Do not use in closed rooms. Make sure the device is used only outside
๎š– do not use it in shafts or below ground level, because the gas here is
heavier than air and it can spread without control. The device must
always be positioned on a stable and horizontal basis. Do not use it in
a tent - danger of suffocation due to a quick consumption of oxygen or
danger of fire.
Use the device only at a safe distance from inflammable materials (at
least 500 mm from the walls and 1500 mm from the ceiling). Make sure
that the rising heat and vapours do not endanger the ceiling. Prevent
accumulation of heat, eventually increase the safe distance to the ceiling.
The device can reach very high temperatures at the burner during normal
operation.
Do not leave the device unattended if it is on. Protect the butane cartridge
from becoming warm or hot. Prevent accumulation of heat.
ATTENTION: Accessible parts of the device can be very hot. Keep small
children away from the device Never touch the burner(danger of injury).
if it is still hot. When the device is not in use, protect it from dust and
humidity. Never keep the device below ground level.
If the flame is blown out due to a wind blast, immediatelly close the gas
regulation valve, so that no more gas can flow uncontrolled out of the
device.
Do not use the device close to inflammable or heat sensitive materials
(danger of fire).
Do not make any modifications to the device. Malfunctions can be only
fixed by an authorized specialist dealer or by the manufacturer. Repairs
can be done only by an authorized specialist dealer or by the manufacturer.
If gas leaks out of your device (you can smell gas) take it immediately
outside to a place with a good air circulation and without any combustible
sources, where you can search for the leaking spot and fix it. Only test
gas tightness of your device when outside. Never search for untight
connections using a flame, use always soapsuds.
Use only cooking pots with a maximum diameter of and a maximum20 cm
height of . When using bigger cooking pots, heat could accumulate12 cm
and the stove could get damaged. When cooking ensure there is a safe
distance between the pot rim and the level inside, so that the cooking
water cannot spurt out. Use the stove only on a stable and even base.
Test for leaks
Only test gas tightness when outside by spreading soapsuds over the
connections at the outer side of the device, where the gas flows, or spray
these connections with a leak-seeking-spray. Never search for untight
connections using a flame, use always either soapsuds or a leak-seeking-
spray! Do not put a device into operation with damaged or worn out
gaskets. Never use a device where gas is leaking, which is damaged
or does not work properly.

Setting the size of the flame
It is possible to regulate the size of the flame by turning the black gas
regulation valve (see picture 4 / (+) = open gas supply, (-) = shut gas
supply). By turning the gas regulation valve in direction (+) the gas supply
is opened. By turning further in direction (+) the gas flow reaches its full
performance (big flame). By turning the gas regulation valve in direction
(-) the gas flow decreases (small flame).
Steps to be taken before attaching the butane gas
cartridge
Only change cartridge when outside and far away from other persons.
After each attachment or a change of a cartridge you must carry out a
test for leaks (see Test for Leaks). Make sure that all attachments and
other connections are correctly connected and nothing is damaged.
Ensure that parts where the gas flows are not damaged. Never use a
damaged device. Before attaching the butane cartridge, close the gas
regulation valve on the device (see picture 4 / (-) switch off gas supply).
Before attaching each new gas receptacle check the gasket (visual check
๎š– picture 5). It is necessary to ensure that at the upper part of the
stove inside on the piercing pin there is a black rubber gasket, and
that this gasket is in a good condition (see drawing - picture 5). If
this gasket is missing or is damaged do not use the device. The
replacement gasket can be changed only by an authorized specialist
dealer or the manufacturer. Do not make any alterations to the
device! Make sure, always before you light the flame on the burner that
all parts are gastightly connected.
Steps when attaching the butane cartridge
Close the regulation valve on the upper part of the device by turning it
clockwise (-) (see drawing - picture 4). Place the butane gas cartridge
into the cartridge holder (see drawing - picture 2). Now screw the cartridge
holder gastightly to the upper part (see picture 3), till the latch at the side
snaps (see picture 5). When assemblying the device hold it upright
(burner pointing upwards and the bottom of the lower part of the camping
stove ๎š– cartridge holder - pointing downwards). Screw all parts together
precisely and without interruption. Do not strip the screw thread.
Steps when changing the butane cartridge:
It is possible to change the butane cartridge only if it is completely empty
(see section headed Security instructions ๎š– Warning). Check that the
cartridge is empty before changing (shake it a little if splashing of liquid
is audible). Make sure the flame on the burner is extinguished before
loosening the cartridge. You can loosen the lower part from the upper
part by pressing the security latch at the side (see picture 5) and rotating
the lower part counterclockwise (picture 1). Take the empty butane
cartridge from the lower part of the device and dispose of it accordingly.
Now you can attach a new butane cartridge (see Steps by attaching the
butane cartridge).
How to operate the device
After properly fitting of the butane cartridge and testing for leaks (to be
carried out outside), turn now the gas regulation valve by about a half
rotation counterclockwise towards (+). Light the flame on the burner tip
with a match or a lighter and only now turn completely the gas regulation
valve, so that the flame can reach its highest performance. Do not shake
the device immediately before lighting the burner and after having lit it
do not move it any more. Otherwise there is a danger that the liquid gas
will leaks and an uncontrolled flame will ignite. Place the device on an
even surface protected from wind. Wind could extinguish the flame
and the gas could further escape from the device ๎š– danger of injury
or burn. In a case the flame extinguishes uncontrolled (e.g. wind blast)
immediately turn off the gas regulation valve (see picture 4 / (-) = switch
off gas supply) and restart the device again as described above. Use
the device only in an upright position and under a permanent supervision
of adult persons.
Switching off the device
By turning the gas regulation valve clockwise to the right (-) (see picture
4) the supply of gas is stopped and the flame extinguishes. Have in mind
that the burner is still very hot and that it must cool down before it is
stored.
Storage and transport
Follow the safety instrauctions stated on the butane cartridge.
Storage: Store the device in a vertical position!. store the deviceNever
or the butane cartridges below ground level (e.g. cellar, boiler room).
Storing area must be sufficiently ventilated.
Transport: Ensure that the device stands securely upright and it must
not fall over or fall down. Always secure the device during the transport.
Care of the device + Repair service
It is allowed to use only recommended spare parts. Do not use
a device where any parts are damaged. Any repairs as well as replacement
of the nozzle can be carried out only by an authorized specialist dealer
for liquid gas or by the manufacturer. In case of a repair bring the device
back to the store where you have purchased it or send it back to the
manufacturer. The nozzle is marked with 22 (nozzle No. 22 ๎š– corresponds
with the nozzle diameter of 0,22 mm). Do not make any modifications
to the device.
Changing the gasket
When changing the gasket the wider lower rim of the new gasket must
fit precisely to the gasket holder on the piercing pin. The rubber gasket
can be replaced only by an authorized specialist dealer or by the
manufacturer.
Cleaning the device
It is possible to clean the device with a dry cloth only when the burner
has cooled down. Do not use any cleansing agents because the oppenings
in the burner and the nozzle could become blocked.
Environmental instructions
The gas used is environment-friendly liquid gas, which does not burden
or damage the environment and it is not dangerous for the ozone layer.
The butane cartridge or its contents do not have a restricted shelf-life.
Follow the regulations for the liquid gas.
Disposal of the butane cartridge
Totally emptied butane cartridges must be disposed of by using the
Dual recycling system. Butane cartridges, which are not completely
empty have to be disposed of at collection centres for harmful substances.
Disposal of the device
The device is produced of recyclable materials. To dispose of or to
recycle this device, get in touch with an authorized local Recycling Office
or a waste disposal company.
