Installation
Applicable Models:
Can-Am Maverick X3 (2 & 4 seat models)
This rear speaker wire kit is designed to work with Rockford Fosgate’s
RFX3-K8 / RFX3-K4 amplifier kits and RFX3-PMXDK dash kit. The wire kit
can be installed in both 2-seat and 4-seat models secured to the roll
cage and run under the floor.
Step 1. Feed the white 2-pin connector through the mounting flange
leaving enough slack so you can connect the speaker to the
connector. Then assemble the mounting flange to the lower
half of the mounting clamp assembly making sure the wire
aligns with the notch in the flange to prevent pinching before
tightening.
Step 2. You will want to install the wake can bracket approximately
4-6 inches away from the top of the rear shock reservoir.
Step 3. Once the wire harness is connected to the wake can, slide the
enclosure over the mounting post and secure it with using the
security Torx wrench that came with the enclosures.
NOTE: A safety lanyard is supplied with the wake cans for additional
safety. Refer to wake can instructions for a more detailed installation
guide.
Step 4. This harness is designed to be run down the rear factory cage
with the supplied plastic wire ties.
Step 5. Continue to route the harness down the rear tube through the
cage opening. The wire harness should follow the inside of the
fender and then toward the center of the vehicle.
NOTE: Be sure the wire harness is wire tied to the chassis tube, away
from moving components and heat.
Step 6. Remove the passenger side seat to provide access to the
panels on the center console. There are (3) panels that need
to be removed.
Step 7. Once removed, route the wires down the center of the car
along the vehicles main wire harness.
NOTE: Be sure to keep away from exhaust and moving components
when routing toward the front of the vehicle.
Step 8. Feed both wires up the backside of the center console and run
up to the opening where the fuse panel is located.
Step 9. Connect the wires to the source unit harness.
Step 10. Reinstall the center dash kit.
