normal and will disperse within a few minutes.
• Wash the cooking pot and glass lid in hot soapy water. Rinse well in clear water
and dry carefully.
• Wipe the cooker body with a damp cloth containing a small amount of diluted
detergent. Remove all traces of detergent with a clean damp cloth then dry
thoroughly.
• Check that the voltage marked on the rating plate at the bottom of the appliance
is the same as the voltage in your area.
OPERATION
1. Ensure the slow cooker is stable and well-supported by the work surface.
2. Wipe the exterior of the cooking pot and place it in the cooker body.
3. Put the food in the cooking pot with sufficient water to ensure the food does not
dry out. The food shall be less than 4L to avoid overll.
4. Cover the pot with the glass lid.
5. Connect the slow cooker to the mains socket and switch on at the mains.
6. There are four operation settings:
• OFF: Switches the slow cooker off.
• LOW: Can also be used for heating up cooked food.
• HIGH: The normal slow-cooking setting. Cooking time is around 7-8 hours.
• WARM: Keeps recently cooked food warm.
7. Set the cooker to a suitable operation setting, as recommended in your recipe.
The mains indicator will light up showing that the appliance now is operational.
8. During Cooking:
• Occasionally check the food to ensure that there is enough liquid in the pot to
avoid it boiling dry.
9. When cooking is complete:
• Turn the temperature control to WARM if you want to keep the food warm. Do
not keep food warm for more than 4 hours, because of the danger of bacterial
infection.
• When the food is ready to serve, turn the temperature control to OFF and then
switch off and unplug the cooker.
• Remove the pot before serving out the food.
• Always ensure that your food is hot and thoroughly cooked before serving.
Under cooked or insufficiently heated food presents a health risk.
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
• The cooking pot supplied with this slow cooker must not be used in a conventional
oven, on a cooking hob, in a microwave oven or on any form of direct heat other
than this slow cooker.
• Only use this cooker with its supplied cooking pot and components.
• Check that the cooking pot and lid have no cracks or other visible signs of damage.
• Do not set the pot when heated on a wet or cold surface - Use a heat proof mat.
• Never use a cracked cooking pot.
• Ensure there are no objects in the cooker body.
• Use oven glove when handling hot utensils or touching hot surfaces!
• Do not expose the cooking pot to sudden temperature changes - it may crack.
• Do not preheat the slow cooker before use unless expressly recommended in your
recipe.
• Make sure the cooking pot is at room temperature before adding hot foods.
• If the cooking pot is hot, do not cool it by pouring cold water into it.
• Do not allow the cooking pot to boil dry or operate the cooker with an empty
cooking pot or with no cooking pot in place.
• As the cooking process is necessarily extended, make sure the cooker is out of the
reach of children.
• This appliance should not be operated with a mains extension lead.
• The ultimate disconnection is the mains plug. Always make sure the mains plug on
the appliance is readily operable and capable of being unplugged in an
emergency.
