This tool emits a laser reference line, which, when used indoors or indirect sunlight, generates a visible
straight laser line on the desired surface(s).
Safety Instructions
These instructions are for your safety. Please read them thoroughly before use and retain them for future
reference.
Safety Precautions
The laser level is Class 2, with a maximum output of 1mW and a wavelength of 635nm.
DO NOT STARE DIRECTLY INTO THE LASER BEAM.
IMPORTANT: Read all instructions prior to operating this tool. Do not remove any labels from tool.
CAUTION: Never attach or use any other form of optical device with this laser product.
CAUTION: Do not modify the product in any way, as this may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
WARNING: Do not stare directly into laser beam. Please observe safety rules as follows:
• Use and maintain the laser in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Never aim the laser beam at surfaces other than those being measured/aligned, or at any person.
• Always ensure the laser is being used with suitable surfaces, such as wood or rough-coated materials. Never
aim the laser at a re ective surface. Bright, shiny, and/or re ective materials, such as sheet steel, are not
suitable for use with lasers as the refl ective surface could direct the beam back at the operator.
• Do not exchange the laser level assembly with any of a di erent type.
• Repairs must be carried out by the laser manufacturer or an authorized agent.
• The laser may be di cult to see in bright sunshine or on certain surfaces.
• Always turn the laser o when not in use or when left unattended.
• Always handle with care; the laser level is a precision instrument.
• Always keep out of reach of children and pets.

CHANGING THE BATTERIES AND ACTIVATING LASER BEAM
Slide open the cover on the back of the unit (as indicated) and insert 2 AA batteries (not
included).
To turn the unit on, press the horizontal and/or vertical button(s). To turn it o, press the
same button(s) again.
Please note: Used/discharged batteries are hazardous waste and must be disposed of
properly.
ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT
Open the tripod and position it firmly on a surface that is even and as near level as pos-
sible. For uneven surfaces and inclines, compensate by adjusting the telescoping legs of
the tripod and level with the aid of the angle-setting vial (found at the top of the tripod).
Tightly screw the swivelling base to the levelling platform.
Use the three (3) adjusting screws in conjunction with the angle-setting vials (at the top
of the base) to level the levelling platform.
The self-adjusting laser can be used either with the tripod or independently.
HORIZONTAL AND/OR VERTICAL LINE PROJECTION
Pressing the vertical and/or horizontal buttons on the top of the unit will generate a vertical, horizontal or
cross-hair laser beam. The red lights next to the buttons will indicate which of the two has been turned on. To
turn o simply press the illuminated buttons once more.
If you have loosened the knob on the bottom of the unit (as per the previous page) allow the unit 8-10
seconds level itself. If there is no movement in the lines, it is likely the bottom has not been suciently
loosened.
