WARNING
* The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids,
such as vases, shall be placed on apparatus.
* To be completely disconnect the power input, the mains plug of apparatus shall be disconnected from
the mains.
* The mains plug of apparatus should not be obstructed OR should be easily accessed during intended
use.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
This is a delicate electronic unit;
* Do not operate it near sources of heat such as radiators and stoves, in very damp places such as bathrooms,
swimming pools and so on, in very dusty places or in places subject to strong vibration.
* Place the unit so there is always enough space for free air circulation around it (at least 5cm gap) and the
air inlets are not obstructed.
* The ventilation should not be impeded by co vering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper,
table-cloths, curtains etc
* If some fluid gets inside the unit, disconnect the mains plug from the socket immediately and take the unit
to your nearest servicing centre.
* Route the mains lead so that it is not likely to be walked on, crushed, chafed, cut, or subjected to excessive
wear and tear or heat.
* No naked flame sources such as lighted candles should be placed on the apparatus.
* When replacing the battery, be sure to dispose of the old one in accordance with the current
regulations. To this end, deposit it at a point which has been provided for this purpose, in order that it
will be disposed of in a safe and environmentally-friendly way.
* The apparatus can be worked regularly between 10 to 40°C.

POWER SOURCE
BATTERY POWER OPERATION
1. Open the battery compartment door by pushing the catches downwards.
2. Install 4 x UM2 batteries carefully as indicated in battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment.
AC POWER OPERATION
Connect receptacle end of the mains lead to the AC input socket and the plug to an
AC outlet.
OPERATION
1. Turn the Volume / Power On/Off knob anti-clockwise to turn on the radio.
The Power On Indicator will light on.
2. Tune in a desired station by tuning the Tuning Knob.
3. Pull out the antenna and adjust the direction, lenght and angle to give the best
reception.
4. Adjust the Volume / Power On/Off knob for your desired listening level.
5. To turn off the radio, turn the Volume / Power On/Off knob clockwise until you
listen a click sound.
The Power On Indicator will light off.
PHONE JACK
For private listening connect an headphone (not included) with a 3.5mm plug to the
Phone Jack. The built-in speaker will be automatically disconnected.
