Our new and improved Goldtouch Elite Adjustable Keyboard features a thinner, less bulky
prole, with an updated handle design. Squeeze the handle to eortlessly adjust our patented
ball and lever locking joint to adjust the keyboard. Making these personalized adjustments
for customized comfort can reduce the risk of computer-related repetitive strain injuries (RSI)
while boosting productivity.

FN - Function Features
To activate the FN (Function) features on your Goldtouch Elite Adjustable Keyboard, press
the FN key. An orange FN indicator light will appear in the Status Bar on the upper right
corner of your keyboard when the FN function is enabled. When FN is turned on, you’re
free to utilize the following Function Features, without having to hold down the FN key:

Mac users only - In Mac Mode, Eject and Power do not need the FN key enabled. Only function row
F1-F12 require FN be engaged.
Keyboard Status Bar
FN Indicator Light Guide:
FN - An orange light will appear in the status bar below FN when the FN feature is
engaged.
Num Lock - An orange light will appear in the status bar below (9) when the Num Lock
feature is enabled.
Scroll Lock - An orange light will appear in the status bar below Scroll Lock when this
feature is engaged.
Caps Lock - An orange light will appear in the status bar below Caps Lock when Caps
Lock is engaged.
Note: In order for the Num Lock Feature to work, it must be used in conjunction with the FN feature.
The orange status bar lights for both FN and (9) must be engaged for Num Lock to work. This is to
prevent System BIOS from automatically engaging Num Lock.

32 Getting Started - Initial Keyboard Setup
Connecting your keyboard via USB:
1. PC Windows Users, begin by selecting your operating system by adjusting the switch
located on the back of the keyboard to PC mode.
Mac OSX Users, begin by selecting your operating system by adjusting the switch
located on the back of the keyboard to Mac mode.
2. With your computer turned on, plug the Goldtouch Elite Keyboard into an open USB
port on your desktop or laptop. Plug your keyboard directly into a computer USB port
for initial discovery.
3. Please allow sucient time for Windows or Mac OS to automatically recognize the
keyboard and install the proper drivers. Mac users will be prompted for keyboard
assistant inputs to identify the keyboard type.
4. When the system level drivers are installed and Windows or Mac OS setup is
completed, you can begin working.
Additional USB Setup Information
Laptop with Docking Station: If you are using a laptop through a Docking Station, please
connect the keyboard directly into an available USB port on the computer itself for the rst time
conguration and driver installation. Once you have followed the instructions above, you can
connect the keyboard through the Docking Station for regular use.
Desktop or Laptop with Limited USB Ports: We recommend that your keyboard always be
plugged directly into your computer’s USB port if possible. If your computer does not have a
sucient number of USB points you may want to add a powered USB hub or port expander to
accommodate multiple devices (like mice, printers, numeric keypads, PDA’s, etc.).
Multiple Computers via KVM Switch: If you are connecting two or more computers through a
KVM switch, be sure to plug the keyboard into each computer that will be used before connecting
it to the KVM switch. A KVM switch will not allow the drivers to install automatically; therefore it is
necessary to connect the keyboard directly into each computer for proper installation for the rst
time. Be sure that your KVM switch is for USB devices, not PS/2.
Alternate Layout PC & Mac Versions— (switch located on the back of the keyboard)
To activate the Elite embedded numeric keypad:
1. Press the FN key to turn on the function (FN) feature. An orange indicator light will
appear in the Status bar on the right-hand side of your keyboard.
2. Press the Num Lock key in the lower left-hand corner of the keyboard. The (9)
indicator light on the keyboard Status Bar will turn orange when Num Lock is
engaged.
3. The embedded Numeric Keypad on the right side of your keyboard is now ready to
use.
When the numeric keypad is engaged, you can easily toggle between regular keyboard
mode and the embedded numeric keypad by simply turning FN o and on, without the
need to disengage both the Function (FN) key and the Num Lock Key.
NOTE: To turn o the Num Lock and FN features, simply press the Num Lock and FN keys to deactivate
them. The indicator lights on the Status Bar will display when these functions are deactivated.
How to adjust the Goldtouch Elite
Making adjustments for personalized comfort
With your new Goldtouch Elite Keyboard, you
can modify the horizontal and vertical positions
to give you the greatest level of comfort.
NOTE: We recommend making small adjustments as follows and increasing these over time, to allow
yourself to get acclimated to the Goldtouch keyboard layout.
Horizontal ‘split’ adjustments
The rst adjustment of your new Goldtouch Elite Keyboard is to adjust the keyboard to
straighten your wrists and forearm along the horizontal plane.
Bring your elbows in to your sides and relax your hands in front of you. This is the angle
you want to adjust your keyboard to. Press the lever on top of the keyboard, then move
the segments until the angle of each panel matches the natural line created by your
ngers across the center row of keys.
Vertical ‘tent’ adjustments
Next, you will nd out your hand’s natural angle on the vertical plane.
Using the angle determined above, press the lever and move the segments upwards to
replicate this angle on the vertical plane.
NOTE: Don’t forget to retain your split horizontal angle as part of this nal adjustment.
