Please read theîentire instruction manual before using theîproduct
and then save it for future reference. We reserve theîright for
any errors in text or images and any necessary changes made
to technicalîdata. In theîevent of technical problems or other

Safety
⢠Theîspeaker may be used by children aged 8 or over
provided they have been instructed in theîsafe use of
theîproduct and that they understand theîhazards and
risks involved. Cleaning and maintenance may be carried
out by children aged 8 or over, but only under adult
supervision. Keepîtheîspeaker out of reach of children
under theîage of 8.
⢠Theîspeaker may be used by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capability, lack of experience
or knowledge which could jeopardise their safety, provided
they have been instructed in theîsafe use of theîproduct
and understand theîhazards involved. Neverîlet children
play with theîspeaker.
⢠Theîspeaker should not be taken apart or modiďŹed. Neverîtry
to open theîcasing of theîspeaker. Theîcasing houses
dangerous current-carrying non-insulated components.
Contact with these can lead to ďŹre or electricîshock.
⢠Do not cover theîspeaker. Adequate ventilation with aîdistance
of at least 5 cm between ventilation ports and theîsurrounding
area is necessary to prevent theîspeaker from overheating.
⢠Place theîspeaker on aîstable, ďŹat surface.
⢠Do not place theîspeaker where it could fall into water or
other liquids. Doînot place any objects containing liquid on
theîspeaker, such as vases, drinks,îetc.
⢠Do not place theîspeaker in constant sunlight or near
naked ďŹames such as wood stoves, lit candles,îetc.
⢠Theîspeaker is intended for indoor useîonly.
⢠Never subject theîspeaker to high temperature, dust,
heavy vibration, impacts, damp or moisture.
⢠Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for
prolonged periods can lead to permanent hearingîloss.
⢠Theîspeaker must only be repaired by qualiďŹed service
technicians.

Operating instructions
Charging
⢠Fully charge theîbattery before using theîspeaker for
theîďŹrstîtime.
⢠Only use theîsupplied chargeîlead.
⢠Connect theîincluded charge lead to theîcharging port (10)
on theîBluetooth speaker and to aîcomputer or other USB
charger.
⢠TheîLED indicator will shine red while theîbattery is
charging and change to green when theîbattery is fully
charged.
⢠When theîbattery is almost fully discharged, theîspeaker
will emit anîaudible signal and then shutîoff.
Connecting an external Bluetooth device
1. Turn theîspeaker on by setting the [ OFF/ON ] switch (9)
to theî position. TheîLED indicator will ďŹash red/blue ON
which indicates that theîspeaker is detectable for pairing
with other Bluetooth devices.
2. Activate Bluetooth on theîdevice to be paired with theîspeaker.
3. Theîspeaker will appear on your device as âBX50â, select it
and pair it with your device. Referîto theîinstruction manual
of your device for further clariďŹcation if you are unsure.
4. Once connection has been established theîblue LED
indicator on theîspeaker will ďŹash slowly.

7. [ âşll ] Play/pause. Holdîin for 3 seconds to shut off
theîcurrent Bluetooth connection and begin searching for
other devices.
8. [ âşâşl ] Nextîtrack
5. Start playback on theîexternal device. Setîtheîdesired
volume levels both on your external device and
theîspeaker. Control theîother playback settings on
theîexternal device and on theîspeaker.
Note: Ifîyou are prompted to enter aîPIN code on your
device, you should enter (four zeroes). Certain 0000
devices may also require you to approve theîconnection.
6. Theîspeaker will re-connect automatically with theîdevice
with which it was last paired when it has been switched
back on again and theîBluetooth function is activated.
Handsfree
⢠If you have connected aîmobile phone to theîspeaker via
Bluetooth and receive aîcall whilst you are listening to
music, theîspeaker will emit aîring signal and theîmusic
will be switched off automatically. Onceîtheîcall has been
ended, music playback will be resumed (if your phone
settings enable this).
⢠Press [ ] if you want to use theîhandsfree function for
yourîcall.
AUX IN
⢠Theîspeaker is equipped with aî3.5 mm AUX IN socket
for connecting anîexternal audio device of your choice.
AnyîBluetooth connection is automatically switched off
once anîexternal device is connected to theî3.5 mm
AUXîIN socket.
⢠Theîplayback of theîexternal device connected to
theîAUX IN socket cannot be controlled from theîspeaker.
Theîplayback can only be controlled using theîcontrols on
theîexternal device itself.
Care and maintenance
⢠Wipe theîspeaker clean with aîdry cloth as and when
required.
⢠Fully charge theîspeaker battery every third month if it is
not to be used for aîlongîtime.
⢠Store theîspeaker in aîdry location when it is not inîuse.
⢠Theîbuilt-in speaker battery cannot be replaced.
