General Safety Instructions

tool. Saveîthis manual for future reference.
1) Work area
a) Keep theîwork area clean and well illuminated. Cluttered and poorly lit areas
inviteîaccidents.
b) Do not use power tools in explosive environments, e.g. near to ïŹammable liquids,
gases or dust. Powerîtools generate sparks that can easily ignite dust orîfumes.
c) Keep children and other bystanders away from theîarea where you are using
theîpower tool. Distractions can cause you to lose your concentration and control.
2) Electrical safety
a) The power toolâs plug must ïŹt correctly into theîwall socket. Neverîmodify
theîplug in any way. Neverîuse anîadaptor together with earthed power tools.
UnmodiïŹedîplugs and suitable wall sockets decrease theîrisk of electric shock.
b) Avoid physical contact with earthed objects, such as pipes, radiators, ovens or
refrigerators. Thereîis anîincreased risk of electrical shock if your body is earthed.
c) Do not expose theîpower tool to rain or other wet conditions. Ifîwater gets inside
aîpower tool it increases theîrisk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse theîmains lead. Neverîuse theîlead to carry theîtool or pull theîplug
from theîwall socket. Keepîtheîlead away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving
parts. Damaged or tangled leads increase theîrisk of electric shock.
e) When using power tools outdoors, use anîextension lead that is suitable for
this purpose. Theîuse of anîextension lead designed for outdoor use decreases
theîrisk of electric shocks.
f) Ifîfor some reason you must use aîpower tool in aîwet environment, always
connect it to theîmains via anîearth-fault circuit breaker such as anîRCD
(residualîcurrent device). UsingîanîRCD signiïŹcantly reduces theîchances of you
receiving anîelectric shock.
