Before initial use
1. Read the section below.Safety
2. Remove all packaging and ensure that there are no foreign objects remaining
inside thetoaster.
3. Wipe theexterior of thetoaster with adampcloth.
4. Make sure that thecrumb tray is pushed all theway in and that thetoasting lever
is fully raised.
5. Connect themains lead to a230 V powerpoint.
6. Set thebrowning control to level .1
7. Depress thetoasting lever without having put any bread into theslots.
Thetoaster might emit asmall amount of smoke as themanufacturing residue is
burned off; this is quite normal and will stop as theheating elements get hotter.
8. Repeat points 6 and 7 afewtimes.

on how thetoaster works.
Safety
• This product must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from
physical or mental impairment. Thisproduct should not be used by anyone that
has not read theinstruction manual unless they have been instructed in its use by
someone who will take responsibility for their safety.
• Never let children play with thetoaster.
• Place thetoaster on aflat, non-flammable surface and out of children’s reach.
Makesure that there is adequate space above and on all sides for air circulation.
• Do not touch any other parts of thetoaster other than its controls as it becomes
hot during use.
• Always unplug thelead from thepower point and let thetoaster cooldown
before handling it.
• Never place thetoaster close to or under flammable material such as curtains.
• Do not place thetoaster where there is arisk of it falling into wateror
other types of liquid.
