PROGRAMMING RADIO LEGEND
1. Confirm that the 3.5mm connector is connected to your radio securely and in the correct
location.
2. If using the female 3.5mm connector in Eclipse, Kenwood, select JVC, or Metra OE radios,
verify that the radio’s steering wheel control wire is connected to the correct wire to the
AXSWC-TL.
Note:
Not every radio will have all the possible SWC commands on the steering wheel.
Please refer to the radio owner’s manual or contact the radio vendor for specific commands
that the radio will recognize.
The AXSWC-TL will auto program itself through Auto Detect Mode.
1. Turn the ignition on and wait until the L.E.D. in the AXSWC-TL lights up solid (about twenty
seconds).
Note:
Do not press any buttons on the steering wheel or radio during this time.
2. Once solid, cycle the key off, then back on.
Note:
The AXSWC-TL will give you two sets of L.E.D. feedback reports. The first set of
flashing green L.E.D. lights is for knowing the vehicle type and the second set of red flashing
L.E.D. lights is for knowing the radio type. Knowing the vehicle type is irrelevant as this
interface is pre-programmed for vehicles in the application list only. But knowing the radio
type is important for troubleshooting if the AXSWC-TL does not work. Please see the below
Radio Legend for L.E.D. feedback information for radio type.
1st L.E.D. flash is for Eclipse (type 1)
2nd L.E.D. flash is for Kenwood

*Note:
If the AXSWC flashes 7 times and you do not have an Alpine radio connected to it that means that
the AXSWC did not see any radio connected. Verify the 3.5mm connector is connected to the steering
wheel control input into the radio.
**Note:
The AXSWCH-PAR is required (sold separately). The radio must be updated to rev. 2.1.4 or higher
from www.parrot.com and AXSWC must be updated to the latest firmware from www.axxessinterfaces.com.
