•Your new appliance is a freezer designed
exclusively for domestic use.
For best use of your appliance, please read
the instructions and product description
sheets carefully. These contain a description
of your appliance and useful tips for storing
food.
Keep this handbook for future consultation.
1. After unpacking the appliance, make sure
that the door shuts properly. Any damage
must be reported to your dealer within 24
hours after delivery of the appliance.
2. Wait at least 2 hours before connecting the
freezer to the mains supply, in order to
ensure the refrigerant circuit is fully efficient.
3. Installation of the appliance and electrical
connections must be carried out by a
qualified electrician, in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions and local
regulations.
1. Packing
The packaging material is entirely recyclable,
and marked with the recycling symbol. Follow
local regulations for scrapping.
Keep the packaging materials (plastic bags,
polystyrene parts, etc.) out of reach of children,
as they are potentially dangerous.
2. Appliance
The freezer is made of recyclable material.
Dispose of the appliance in conformity with local
environmental regulations.
Make the appliance unusable by cutting off the
power cord. The appliance must be delivered to
an authorised collection centre for the recovery
of refrigerant gas.
Information:
This appliance does not contain CFCs (replaced
with R134a) or HFCs (replaced with R600a -

freezing fresh food and production of ice
cubes.
•Do not cover or obstruct the air vent of the

This freezer can be used to store already frozen
food and to freeze fresh food.
The freezer can operate at ambient temperatures
between +16° C and +32° C.
Switching on the freezer for the first time
•There is no need to set the freezer temperature on
the thermostat because it has already been
factory-set.
•Plug in the appliance.
•The alarm signal will switch on, indicating that
temperature inside the freezer is not yet
sufficiently low for food storage.
•Place the foodstuff inside only when the alarm is
deactivated (for more details consult the enclosed
product chart).
Temperature adjustment
For temperature adjustments, refer to the product
description sheet supplied.
Note:
The ambient air temperature, the frequency of door
opening and the position of the appliance can affect
the internal temperatures of the freezer.
These factors must be taken into account when setting
the thermostat.
Freezing
The maximum amount of fresh food that can be
frozen over a period of 24 hours is shown on the
rating plate.
To obtain the best performance from the appliance,
push the fast freeze button (until the yellow light
comes on) 24 hours before placing fresh food in the
freezer.
Food must be stored in the special freezing
compartments (see product description sheet
supplied). In appliances with more than 5
compartments, remove food from the compartment
below those used for freezing, and place the ice packs
(if supplied) in the empty compartment.
Generally, 24 hours on fast freeze is sufficient after
placing foodstuffs in the freezer; after this time,
deselect the fast freeze function.
Important:
When freezing small amounts of food, use any
compartment except the bottom drawer. To avoid
wasting energy, the fast freeze function can also not
be selected.
