Safety precautions
This DECT cordless telephone is intended for transmitting speech over the analogue tele-
phone network. Any other type of use is not permitted and is considered in violation of
the provisions. This User Manual with its safety precautions is part of the product package
and must be handed over to the new owner when sold.
Caution!
Use only approved rechargeable batteries: Nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH AAA) preferably
with more than 650 mAh. Using other types of rechargeable batteries or non-rechargea-
ble batteries/primary cells can be dangerous and may cause malfunction of or damage to
the device. The manufacturer accepts no liability in this event.
Note the correct positioning of the batteries as indicated in the battery compartment of
the handset.
Do not immerse the rechargeable batteries in water or throw into fire.
Rechargeable batteries can get warm while recharging; this is normal and not dangerous.
Do not use any other type of charging unit, otherwise the rechargeable batteries may
be damaged.
Persons wearing hearing aids should note that radio signals may be picked up by the
hearing aid and may cause unpleasant buzzing noises.
Do not use your DECT cordless telephone in environments with risk of explosion
(e.g. paintworks, petrol stations, etc.)
Do not place the base station / charging bay in bathrooms or showers.
The functioning of medical equipment may be affected by the radio signals.
Your DECT cordless telephone will not function during a power outage or when the
rechargeable batteries are empty!
The handset must not be charged without batteries or without the battery cover present.
Do not touch exposed contact points!
Only use the supplied power pack SNG 05-ea for the base station.
Disposal
Dispose of the rechargeable batteries, base station, handset, charging bay and power pack
in an ecological manner.
