This mark is for R32 refrigerant only. Refrigerant type is written on nameplate of outdoor unit.
In case that refrigerant type is R32, this unit uses a īammable refrigerant.
If refrigerant leaks and comes in contact with īære or heating part, it will create harmful gas and there is risk of īære.
Read the OPERATION MANUAL carefully before operation.
Service personnel are required to carefully read the OPERATION MANUAL and INSTALLATION MANUAL before operation.

Before installing the unit, make sure you read all the āSafety precautionsā.
āŗīīPleaseīreportītoīorītakeīconsentībyītheīsupplyīauthorityībeforeīconnectionītoī
the system.
After installation work has been completed, explain the āSafety Precautions,ā use, and
maintenance of the unit to the customer according to the information in the Operation
Manual and perform the test run to ensure normal operation. Both the Installation Manual
and Operation Manual must be given to the user for keeping. These manuals must be
passed on to subsequent users.

connect the refrigerant pipes. If the pipes are not connected correctly, the unit will

1.1. Before installation
Caution:
ā¢ Do not use the unit in an unusual environment. If the air conditioner is installed in
areasīexposedītoīsteam,īvolatileīoilī(includingīmachineīoil),īorīsulfuricīgas,īareasī
exposedītoīhighīsaltīcontentīsuchīasītheīseaside,īorīareasīwhereītheīunitīwillībeī
coveredībyīsnow,ītheīperformanceīcanībeīsigniīæcantlyīreducedīandītheīinternalī
partsīcanībeīdamaged.
ā¢ī īDoīnotīinstallītheīunitīwhereīcombustibleīgasesīmayīleak,ībeīproduced,īīow,īorī
accumulate.ī Ifī combustibleī gasī accumulatesī aroundī theī unit,ī īæreī orī explosionī
may result.
1. Safety precautions
ā¢ The outdoor unit produces condensation during the heating operation. Make
sure to provide drainage around the outdoor unit if such condensation is likely to
cause damage.
ā¢ī īWhenīinstallingītheīunitīinīaīhospitalīorīcommunicationsīofīæce,ībeīpreparedīforī
noise and electronic interference. Inverters, home appliances, high-frequency
medical equipment, and radio communications equipment can cause the air con-
ditionerītoīmalfunctionīorībreakdown.īTheīairīconditionerīmayīalsoīaffectīmedicalī
equipment,ī disturbingī medicalī care,ī andī communicationsī equipment,ī harmingī
the screen display quality.
1.2.īBeforeīinstallationī(relocation)ī
Caution:
ā¢ī īBeīextremelyīcarefulīwhenītransportingīorīinstallingītheīunits.īTwoīorīmoreīper-
sons are needed to handle the unit, as it weighs 20 kg or more. Do not grasp the
packagingībands.īWearīprotectiveīglovesītoīremoveītheīunitīfromītheīpackagingī
andī toīmoveī it,ī asīyouī canī injureī yourīhandsī onī theīīænsī orī theīedgeī of otherīī ī
parts.
ā¢ Be sure to safely dispose of the packaging materials. Packaging materials, such
asīnailsīandīotherīmetalīorīwoodenīpartsīmayīcauseīstabsīorīotherīinjuries.
ā¢ī īTheībaseīandī attachmentsīofī theīoutdoorī unitīmustībeīperiodicallyīcheckedī forī
looseness, cracks or other damage. If such defects are left uncorrected, the unit
mayīfallīdownīandīcauseīdamageīorīinjuries.
ā¢ Do not clean the air conditioner unit with water. Electric shock may result.

nectionsīareīloosened,ītheīcablesīcanīsnapīorībreakīandīoverheatingīorīīæreīmayī
result.
ā¢ Be sure to ground the unit. Do not connect the ground wire to gas or water pipes,
lightning rods, or telephone grounding lines. If the unit is not properly grounded,
electric shock may result.

1.4. Before starting the test run

the internal parts. Keep the main power switch turned on during the operation
season.
ā¢ Before starting operation, check that all panels, guards and other protective parts
areīcorrectlyīinstalled.īRotating,īhot,īorīhighīvoltageīpartsīcanīcauseīinjuries.
ā¢ Do not touch any switch with wet hands. Electric shock may result.
ā¢ī īDoīnotītouchītheīrefrigerantīpipesīwithībareīhandsīduringīoperation.īTheīrefriger-
antīpipesīareīhotīorīcoldīdependingīonītheīconditionīofītheīīowingīrefrigerant.īIfī
youītouchītheīpipes,īburnsīorīfrostbiteīmayīresult.
ā¢ī īAfterīstoppingīoperation,ībeīsureītoīwaitīatīleastīīæveīminutesībeforeīturningīoffī
theīmainīpowerīswitch.īOtherwise,īwaterīleakageīorībreakdownīmayīresult.
1.5. Using R32 refrigerant air conditioners
Caution:
ā¢ Use C1220 copper phosphorus, for copper and copper alloy seamless pipes, to
connect the refrigerant pipes. Make sure the insides of the pipes are clean and
doīnotīcontainīanyīharmfulīcontaminantsīsuchīasīsulfuricīcompounds,īoxidants,ī
debris,ī orīdust.ī Useī pipesīwithī theī speciīæedīthickness.ī (Referī toī4.1.)ī Noteī theī
followingīifīreusingīexistingīpipesīthatīcarriedīR22īrefrigerant.
- Replace the existing īare nuts and īare the īared sections again.
- Do not use thin pipes. (Refer to 4.1.)
ā¢ī Storeītheīpipesītoībeīusedīduringīinstallationīindoorsīandīkeepībothīendsīofītheī
pipesīsealedī untilījustī beforeībrazing.ī(Leaveī elbowījoints,ī etc.īinī theirīpackag-
ing.)īIfī dust,īdebris,ī orīmoistureī entersītheī refrigerantīlines,ī oilīdeteriorationī orī
compressorībreakdownīmayīresult.
ā¢ī Useī esterī oil,ī etherī oil,ī alkylbenzeneī oilī (smallī amount)ī asī theī refrigerationī oilī
appliedī toītheī īaredī sections.ī Ifīmineralī oilī isīmixedī inī theī refrigerationīoil,ī oilī
deterioration may result.
