dependsontheamountofsystemactivityandthelevelofchargeinthebattery.

•Avoidkeepingyourhands,yourlap,oranyotherpartofyourbodyin

better.Forothercountries,thesuitabletypesshallbeusedaccordingly.
Neverwrapapowercordaroundapoweradapterorotherobject.Doingsocanstressthecordin
waysthatcancausethecordtofray,crack,orcrimp.Thiscanpresentasafetyhazard.
Alwaysroutepowercordssothattheywillnotbewalkedon,trippedover,orpinchedbyobjects.
Protectpowercordsandpoweradaptersfromliquids.Forinstance,donotleaveyourpowercord
orpoweradapternearsinks,tubs,toilets,oronoorsthatarecleanedwithliquidcleansers.
Liquidscancauseashortcircuit,particularlyifthepowercordorpoweradapterhasbeenstressed
bymisuse.Liquidsalsocancausegradualcorrosionofpowercordterminalsand/ortheconnector

Alwaysconnectpowercordsandsignalcablesinthecorrectorderandensurethatallpowercord

Extensioncordsandrelateddevices
Ensurethatextensioncords,surgeprotectors,uninterruptiblepowersupplies,andpowerstripsthatyouuse
areratedtohandletheelectricalrequirementsoftheproduct.Neveroverloadthesedevices.Ifpowerstrips
areused,theloadshouldnotexceedthepowerstripinputrating.Consultanelectricianformoreinformation
ifyouhavequestionsaboutpowerloads,powerrequirements,andinputratings.
Plugsandoutlets

Ifareceptacle(poweroutlet)thatyouintendtousewithyourcomputerequipmentappearstobe
damagedorcorroded,donotusetheoutletuntilitisreplacedbyaqualiîś±edelectrician.
Donotbendormodifytheplug.Iftheplugisdamaged,contactthemanufacturertoobtain
areplacement.
Donotshareanelectricaloutletwithotherhomeorcommercialappliancesthatdrawlargeamounts

disposeof,sell,orhandoveryourcomputer,besuretodeletedatastoredonit.
Handingyourcomputerovertosomeoneelsewithoutdeletingtheloadedsoftware,suchasoperating
systemsandapplicationsoftware,mightevenviolatelicenseagreements.Youareadvisedtocheckthe
termsandconditionsofthoselicenseagreements.
Therearemethodsthatseemtodeletethedata:
•Movethedatatotherecyclebin,andthenclickEmptyrecyclebin.
•UsetheDeleteoption.
•Formatyourharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrive,usingthesoftwareforinitializingit.
•Usingtherecoveryprogram,bringtheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrivebacktothefactorydefault
settings.
Theseoperations,however,onlychangetheîś±leallocationofthedata;theydonotdeletethedataitself.In
otherwords,thedataretrievalprocessingisdisabledunderanoperatingsystemsuchasWindows.The
dataisstillthere,eventhoughitseemstobelost.Thus,itissometimespossibletoreadthedatabyuseof
specialsoftwarefordatarecovery.Thereisariskthatpeopleofbadfaithmightreadandmisusethecritical
dataonharddiskdrivesorsolid-statedrivesforunexpectedpurposes.
Topreventleakageofdata,itbecomesveryimportantthatyoutakeresponsibilityfordeletingallthedata
fromtheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrivewhenyoudisposeof,sell,orhandoveryourcomputer.Y ou

•Replacetheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedriveonlyifyouupgradeitorhaveitrepaired.Theconnectors
andslotoftheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrivearenotdesignedforfrequentchanges,ordrive
swapping.
•Donotdroptheharddiskorsolid-statedriveorsubjectittophysicalshocks.Puttheharddiskdriveor
solid-statedriveonamaterial,suchassoftcloth,thatabsorbsanyphysicalshocks.
•Donotapplypressuretothecoveroftheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrive.
•Donottouchtheconnectors.
•Beforeremovingtheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrive,makeabackupcopyofalltheinformation
onit,andthenturnthecomputeroff.
•Neverremovetheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrivewhilethecomputerisoperating,insleepmode,
orinhibernationmode.

actionreducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.Thestaticelectricitycoulddamagethememorymodule.

4.Ifthememorymodulealreadyisinthememoryslot,pressoutonthelatchesonbothedgesofthe
socketatthesametime1,andthenremovethememorymodule2.Savetheremovedmemory
moduleforfutureuse.
5.Findthenotchonthecontactedgesideofthememorymoduleyouareinstalling.
