FCC/IC Notice
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference,
and (2) this device must accept any interference
received, includinginterference that may cause
undesired operation.
Tocomply with FCC radiation exposure
requirements, use of this device for body-worn
operational configurations is limitedto accessories
tested andapproved by Kyocera Wireless Corp.
Other accessories used with this devicefor body-
worn operations must not contain any metallic
components and mustprovide at least22.75mm
separation distance including the antenna andthe
user’sbody.
This model phone meets the government’s
requirements for exposureto radio waves.
Your wireless phone is a radiotransmitter and
receiver. Itis designedand manufactured notto
exceed the emission limits for exposure to
radiofrequency (RF) energy set by the Federal
Communications Commission of the U.S.
Government. These limits are partof
comprehensive guidelines andestablish permitted
levels of RFenergy for the general population. The
guidelines are based on standards that were
developed by independent scientic organizations
through periodic and thorough evaluation of
scientificstudies. The standardsinclude a
substantial safety margin designed toassure the
safety ofall persons, regardlessof age and health.
The exposure standard for wireless mobile phones
employs a unit of measurement known as the
Specific Absorption Rate,or SAR. The SAR limit set
by the FCCis 1.6W/kg.* Tests forSAR are conducted
using standard operating positions specified by the
FCCwith the phone transmittingat its highest
certified power level in all tested frequency bands.
Although the SAR is determinedat the highest
certified power level, the actual SAR level of the
phone while operating can be well below the
maximum value. This is because the phone is
designed to operate at multiple power levels so as to
use only thepower required to reach thenetwork. In
general, the closer you areto a wireless basestation
antenna, the lower the poweroutput.
Before a phone model is available for sale to the
public,it must be testedandcertified to the FCC that
it does not exceed the limit establishedby the
government-adopted requirement for safe
exposure. The tests are performed in positions and
locations (e.g., at theear and worn on the body) as
required by the FCC for each model. The highest
SAR value for this modelphone when tested for use
at the earis 1.53 and when worn onthe body, as
described in this user guide, is 0.74. (Body-worn
measurementsdiffer among phone models,
depending upon available accessories and FCC
requirements). SAR value shown isworst case value
for aQCP 2035. A typical SAR value for QCP 2035
when testedfor use at theear is 1.13W/kg and when
worn on thebody, as describedin this user guide,is
0.505 W/kg. (Body-worn measurements differ
among phone models, depending uponavailable
accessories and FCCrequirement). The highest SAR
value when tested for use at the ear is 1.5 W/kg and
when worn on the body, as described in this user
guide, is 1.48 W/kg. This is the worst case value.
While there maybe differences between theSAR
levels of various phones and at various positions,
they all meet the government requirement for safe
exposure.The FCC has grantedan Equipment
Authorization for this model phone with all reported
SAR levels evaluated as in compliance with the FCC
RF emission guidelines. SAR information on this
model phone is on file withthe FCC and can be
found under the Display Grant section http://
www.fcc.gov/oet/fccidafter searching on FCC ID
OVFQCP 2035. Additional information on SAR can
be found on the CellularTelecommunications
Industry Association (CTIA) web-site at http://
