• If you suspect your child has swallowed or inserted a button battery immediately call ,
the 24 hour Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 (Australia) or 0800 764 766 (New -
Zealand) for fast, expert advice.
• Examine devices and make sure the battery compartment Is correctly secured, e.g.
that the screw or other mechanical fastener is tightened. Do not use if the
compartment is not secure.
• Dispose of used button batteries immediately and safely. Flat batteries can still be
dangerous.
• Tell others about the risk associated with button batteries and how to keep their
children safe.
Other warnings
• This heater is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the he ater by a
person responsible for their safety.
• Keep out of reach of children. Children should be supervised to ensure at all times
that they do not play with the appliance.
• When in use, never leave the heater unattended.
• This heater’s battery compartment cover is secured with a screw. It has been
designed so that the battery is not easily accessible to young children. Always ensure
that the compartment is secure before use.
• Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not
capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.
• Always use a heater guard around the heater if used in the presence of children,
animals, elderly, or persons with reduced/impaired physical, sensory, or metal
capabilities in the absence adequate supervision.of
